reminder about your Moppets
As flu and cold season is quickly approaching, we would like to remind you to keep your little ones at home if they are showing any signs of illness. Our desire is to create a happy and healthy environment for all our little Moppets. Below are also some of the policies and procedures about our Moppets program:
• When you take your child(ren) to their room, you will be given a two-part security tag. When you pick your child up from his/her class, you must have your part of the tag. • Snacks are provided for the older toddlers and older, so please make sure the teachers are aware of any allergies. Snacks are not provided for the babies and young toddlers. • NO medications of any kind will be administered by the MOPPETS staff. • Bring a sufficient supply of diapers, remembering some days are wetter than others. If your child is in training pants or has just been potty trained, please bring a complete change of clothing (labeled). • Please refrain from checking on your children during the morning. It upsets the youngsters to see people come and go from the room. Mothers will be notified if they are needed. • All bottles, blankets, diaper bags, articles of clothing, coats, etc. must be clearly labeled with your child’s name.
• Please be prompt picking up your child by 11:45 a.m. Not only is this helpful for your child as he/she may become fearful or anxious, but the workers must also clean the room before they leave. • Do not bring your child if they have had a fever, diarrhea, rash or vomiting within the past 24 hours. Children under a physician’s treatment may attend after receiving antibiotics for at least 24 hours for most conditions; 48 hours for strep throat. • If your child shows signs of illness, such as high temperature, the MOPPETS Team Leader will notify you to pick up your child immediately. • In case of a fire or weather emergency, the teachers are trained to take the children to a safe area, and you will meet them there. Please do not go and try to get your child, as this can cause more chaos and confusion.

Where were you born? Where did you grow up? Denver, Colorado. For my first 11 years, I grew up in California in the San Francisco bay area. After that, I moved to South Carolina and lived there until my freshmen year in college. What was your job before having kids? What do you do now? Pediatric nursing in an office in Menlo Park, California. Presently, I’m a retired RN and full-time homemaker. What is your husband’s name? Mateen How long have you been married? 34 years What church do you attend? First Presbyterian Church in Edmond How many children do you have, and what are their names and ages? Reserved, Joyful, and Fun-loving Based on what you know now, what one piece of mommy advice would you give yourself before you had your first child? To relax, have fun loving and playing with my children- house chores can always be done later. Children will always remember their mom loving and playing with them; they won’t remember the clean floor or bathrooms - I promise. What is your favorite Bible verse? Isaiah 41:10 - “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” What would be your dream job if money, family, and circumstances were not an issue? My dream job would probably be anything creative, from decorating to crafting - such as card making.
