The artistry and knowledge of VAPA instructors is impeccable. I had barely ever sung or danced before the musical, but by opening night I felt like an expert.”

What kind of artist are you? That’s the question our awardwinning Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) department wants you to consider. In this department, we strive to open our students to the wonders and joy of the Arts. From learning how to express ourselves in a painting, or a sculpture, to reading music and singing in a group, using the body to communicate big ideas through dance, playing instruments together and riffing in a jazz ensemble, or acting out the words of others on the stage, the VAPA program fosters future artists and art lovers.

Clubs and student organizations allow students to extend their learning beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular programs not only offer students the opportunity to connect with others who share their interests but also to develop valuable leadership skills. Through these experiences, Mariners learn to be responsible individuals who are accountable to each other and to causes greater than themselves.

Immerse yourself in culture and service.

Service immersions provide a holistic learning experience that combines service, education, and personal development, ultimately aiming to inspire individuals to lead lives of purpose and contribute positively to society. At Moreau Catholic we have local, national, and international service immersions.

We value forming responsible citizens of a global community, which is why Mariners are encouraged to participate in Service and Cultural Immersion trips. We also welcome students from abroad to join the Mariner family for a short time through Exchange programs or for their entire high school career through our International Student Program (ISP). Our students visit France, Italy, UK, Thailand, Philippines, New Orleans, and one recent immersion trip took students to do community service in Taiwan. We partner with schools in Japan, France, and Brazil to do cultural exchanges where their students stay with Mariner host families.
