Warm. Friendly. Down-to-earth. That’s how people describe Morehead State. You’ll feel it in your classrooms. You’ll feel it in the residence halls. You’ll feel it all throughout campus. It’s cultivated in our clubs and organizations and the activities we offer. The feeling spills out into the city of Morehead and Rowan County. If you’re from this area, you know what we mean. If you’re not, just come for a visit. You’ll understand once you step foot on campus.

Much more than a game. At Morehead State, we don’t take competition lightly. Our Eagles are charter members of the Division I Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and compete at the football championship subdivision level in the Pioneer Football League. Our men’s basketball team won the 2009 and 2011 OVC tournaments, propelling them to the NCAA tournament. MSU’s women’s soccer team was the 2008, 2010 and 2013 OVC Tournament champions and participated in the NCAA Tournament. Our baseball team has won seven OVC titles, our women’s golf team won the OVC title in 2011 and our women’s volleyball team has 13 OVC championships, including the last five seasons. And when it comes to academic excellence, our teams finish among the leaders in the conference – and in the nation. We’ve won the prestigious OVC Institutional Academic Achievement Award 12 times, proving that MSU’s student-athletes bring their A-game on the field, on the court and in the classroom.
More Facilities We believe in providing our student-athletes with exceptional academic resources. The Eagle Athletics Guided Learning & Enhancement (EAGLE) Center is a state-of-the-art, 7,000 sq. ft. facility dedicated to the academic success of our studentathletes. The center features computer stations, wireless Internet access as well as group and private study areas. Recently, renovations have taken place in a majority of our team’s locker rooms, the athletic training center and the Phil Simms strength and conditioning facility.
Attend all home athletic events free with your EagleCard. For a complete schedule: msueagles.com
Much more to cheer about. Our national champion cheerleaders are truly something to cheer about. They compete at the Universal Cheerleading Association college cheerleading championships in Orlando, Fla. It’s a competition MSU cheerleaders consistently dominate – and by that, we mean they’ve walked away with 34 national titles. Think you have what it takes to be part of our all-women’s or coed squads? Tryouts are held in the spring. Interested in dance? MSU has a dance team that performs at several of our home athletic events.

We understand applying for financial aid can be confusing. Our financial aid office is here to make this process as smooth as possible. Questions? Contact us at finaid@moreheadstate.edu or 800-585-6781.
