NATIONAL ASPIRING PRINCIPALS FELLOWSHIP
TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF TRANSFORMATIONAL, EQUITY-FOCUSED SCHOOL PRINCIPALS.
We cultivate leaders who aren’t afraid to do things differently on behalf of children. New Leaders and the Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education are partnering to expand access to the most rigorously evaluated, highest quality, evidence-based principal preparation program in the nation. It’s the best of Aspiring Principals, now laser-focused on equity and delivered through a transformative online experience specifically designed for educators of color.
UNLOCK UNTAPPED LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL. STRENGTHEN AND DIVERSIFY YOUR PRINCIPAL CORPS.
We’ll support you to identify educators with leadership drive and a firm belief in the boundless potential of every child. We’ll help build and diversify your leadership pipeline by recruiting educators of color from within your district or network who are ready to lead in, with, and for Black and brown children and communities, and those furthest from opportunity.
RESULTS WHERE IT MATTERS MOST: IN SCHOOLS, FOR STUDENTS.
Multiple independent evaluations have found we make a real difference for our partners. Graduates of Aspiring Principals are job-ready, getting hired into principal roles at higher rates. Once on the job, they get results. Students attending a school led by a New Leader principal have higher attendance rates and perform better in math and reading than their peers.
MOREHOUSE COLLEGE IS EXPANDING ACCESS TO EQUITY-FOCUSED LEADERSHIP.
For more than 150 years, Morehouse College has developed young Black men ready to answer the call to serve and to lead in their communities. Through the launch of a new Center for Excellence in Education and a robust digital transformation, we are making this distinguished calling more readily available to educators across the country.
