“ Saving Democracy While Thriving in the Wake of Cosmic Trauma” Join us for a two-day series of commemorative programs celebrating the rededication of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, the world’s most prominent religious memorial honoring the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ’48 and his Black social gospel justice ministry. The rededication follows an $11 million renovation of the historic building, which was built in 1978. The theme for this momentous occasion is Saving Democracy While Thriving in the Wake of Cosmic Trauma. Festivities will include a symposium of sessions led by distinguished Morehouse College professors and scholars from across the nation, as well as a host of special guests, including Ambassador Andrew J.
