Business and Economics is to be the preeminent business program for men seeking to excel in business,
Building off Morehouse College’s 155-year legacy of producing Black male excellence at scale, Division of Business and Economics nurtures a different kind of business leader. A leader who views the world from a global perspective and with crosscultural awareness. A leader who abides by strong ethical and moral standards. A leader who knows how people of color have influenced the world through business and economics. And a leader who remembers the “least of these,” and makes decisions through the lens of social justice. Through a thriving community of learners, professors, alumni, and partners, the Division helps students develop a strong business foundation, learn how to apply the principles of ethical leadership, and be well-positioned to innovate ideas and inspire organizations to change for the good. “MANY OF US WHO START OUT WORKING IN CORPORATE AMERICA DON’T HAVE A PATHWAY TO THINK ABOUT HOW TO BECOME ENTREPRENEURS. ONE OF THE WAYS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE BACK TO MOREHOUSE IS BY SUPPORTING THE COLLEGE AND STUDENTS WITH BUSINESS IDEAS WHO WILL BRING THEIR PRODUCTS TO MARKET AND BUILD SOMETHING IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES THAT CAN CREATE A WEALTH OPPORTUNITY FOR THEMSELVES.” JUSTIN BAYLESS ’07 | CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BAYLESS INTEGRATED HEALTHCARE
