Cellphilming: The Process with Joshua Schwab-Cartas With a focus on media messages (or meaningful messages) we walk through the steps to creating a 1-2 minute cellphilm that can be used in advocacy.

GO CELLPHILMING! Groups disperse to record their cellphilms.

Cellphilming: Edits & Final Touches Back at the ballroom, groups add the final edits to their cellphilms and we prepare all cellphilms for screening.
3:30 PM
Screening & Discussion with popcorn and soft drinks at the ready, each group will present their cellphilm. We’ll reflect on the messages in the cellphilms, what they have in common, what differences exist, and who should see these messages.
5:00 PM
We’ll wrap up and head-out to enjoy some free time before we regroup in the morning.

A Few Words on the MTW Trail of Promising Practices with Emily Booker The Trail reflects the essential aspects of youth-group work and the learnings from youth across the sites and years of community-based research.

Since we’ve heard from youth throughout the process of creating The Trail. Adults will now discuss What’s missing? Who will gain the most value from this tool? Where could this go? What is the best format and method for sharing?

12:30 PM : Youth Speaking Out
Youth are invited to present to the group and share their work with attendees.
1:00 PM : Building a Trail Together
Participants will work together in groups to build a path out of stones. The path is informed by discussion groups have around safe & brave spaces, consent, auntyship, mentorship, and other aspects of the trail. 2:15 PM
Sharing Circle & Interviews visitors have departed, we’ll debrief about our time together and there will also be some short interviews to be sure that we capture final thoughts before we go our separate ways.
