May 25th 2012: Hero clothing brand Superdry and heritage car manufacturer Morgan Motor Company team up again to showcase their Morgan 3 Wheeler- Superdry Edition; these two iconic British brands join forces to compete in the Gumball 3000 with Charles Morgan behind the wheel. Superdry, founded in 2003, is one of the fastest growing international youth retailers of its time. The classic British brand is known for its iconic street style, vintage Americana vibe and tailored silhouettes. Founded in 1909, Morgan Motor Company is the last remaining British-owned car manufacturer. The success of the company was founded on an icon, the Morgan 3 Wheeler, which became one of the most successful lightweight cars of its era. Launched in 2011, the modern Morgan 3 Wheeler - Superdry Edition encapsulates the joys of real British motoring. This limited edition car will take part in 2012’s Gumball 3000 rally. The worldrenowned meeting started in 1999 and has grown organically from a car rally into a successful lifestyle brand known for challenging tradition and creative boundaries. Coinciding with the full launch of Superdry’s international flagship store in London and the opening of the USA’s largest store in New York, May 24th 2012 will see an exciting opening ceremony with a 100 cars in Times Square, New York: here, the cars will be displayed for 24 hours through to when the checquered flag drops. Reaching out not only to a mass consumer audience but also a luxury market, the Gumball 3000 is set to put the Morgan 3 Wheeler- Superdry Edition on the world’s racing stage.
