THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. It is a Penn State event that brings the campus and community together to benefit children with cancer at the Hershey Medical Center. The 46-hour dance marathon is held annually each February. Along with the entire Penn State community, studentathletes from all teams participate in THON.

The THON BBQ is SAAB’s annual fundraising kickoff event. Volunteers help advertise and serve lunches to support THON!

Student-athlete volunteers help collect donations from fans at Penn State athletic events year round to raise money for THON.

During THON weekend, student-athletes participate in games and activities with Four Diamonds Families during Athlete Hour at the BJC. They also star in the Pep Rally by programing dance numbers and competing against other athletic teams.

Contestants compete for the titles of Mr. and Miss Student-Athlete. The pageant always draws a big crowd to see the entertaining talents, formal wear, and interviews of the student-athlete contestants.
