In the Moment Surprise

Assembling the best. Changing the herdmark.

Welcome,

The time is finally here! It’s my privilege to sit down and write a welcome letter, inviting each of you to join us at the inaugural Exchange Swine Event. Everyone wonders what can be expected of this wonderful event? It’s simple; opportunities, innovations and the best people, gathered together to share the most proven showpig genetics. The Exchange is planned to be an event - one we believe will be a catalyst for the future of the showpig industry. We hope you can be there to enjoy it, if not, tune in online (CCI.live)on Thursday night, June 7th. This offering is amazing! These females and genetics are some of the most proven in the industry. In addition, we are giving you the chance to secure Frozen Semen on some of the most dominating boars of their time. That’s right, more than 30 straws of proven herd sires from the late 90’s to some of the high demand current sires of today. Finally, we are excited to partner with ViaGen and highlight cloning technologies as we feature two of the most prolific females in the history of the showpig business. And beyond all that, there just might be a surprise or two! I’ve been very fortunate to work with the best people in the business that have worked with me to make this event a reality. A huge shout out and thank you! We hear all the time that this is a people business, I can confidently say, “Yes it’s the people that make things like this happen”. I’ve been blessed in my youthful life to meet and work with many good people in this business and I’d like to take this opportunity to make a few introductions. Morgan Meisenheimer, all I can say is this: she’s awesome at everything she represents and she’s at the top of her game when it comes marketing to the livestock industry. The Exchange partnership with ViaGen and time working with Diane Broek has not only been one of the most educational, but also the most professional I’ve ever experienced. Obviously, The Exchange would never be possible without my great friends and industry leaders Mr. Jesse Heimer and Mr. Nick Berry. These guys have guided a pathway with true vision, experience and professionalism to help advance the showpig industry. The Exchange sales staff is loaded with industry excellence, headlined with Katey Brattain as Sales Associate, Kennedy Ventures clerk and live bidding platform with CCI.LIVE, Auctioneer Mr. Kevin Wendt and Emcee Dr. Mark Hoge. This is an awesome staff! Finally, I must mention I have the greatest personal support staff I could ever ask for – my parents! The support, guidance and push I receive from my family to do what I do is unbelievable. “I’m truly blessed to have been raised to be a part of an agriculture community and the livestock industry has allowed me to do what I do with people like you!” You won’t want to miss this event! We’ve assembled the best, now let’s change the herdmark on Thursday, June 7th! Respectfully, Blake Kennedy

The Mauck name is synonymous with success in the Berkshire business, where they haven’t just been successful — they’ve dominated. This breeding program has produced champion barrows and gilts at every level. Yet, it’s the potency of their genetics that has kept them at the forefront of the breed. They had a lot of females worthy of a spot in the Exchange, but when they agreed to sell 7-5, the decision to select take her was easy. As a show gilt in 2016, 7-5 made her way to the big backdrop not once, but twice! She was named Champion Berkshire Gilt at Fort Worth. At Houston, she outdid herself, going past breed to be named Supreme Overall! This Non-Typical daughter is bred to perhaps the most unique Berkshire breeding piece Mauck’s have raised, ‘Stressed Out 70-1.’ He’s a known stress carrier, yet still projected to be the next barrow-making super star. Several upstart progams in the breed have started with an elite female from Mauck’s, and thankfully they’re generous enough to provide the rest of us with that chance on June 7th!

The Berkshire program at MB Genetics / Mock Livestock has been an exciting venture to say the least. It started in 2015 with the purchase of 5-6 from Russell Kneese. That season, 5-6 build quite a show career being named Champion Berkshire Gilt at San Antonio, Supreme Champion Breeding Gilt at the Hill Country District Show and Reserve Grand Champion in the Gillespie County Market Show. Since that time, 5-6 has simply wrote the book for becoming a true generator! In her tenure at MB / ML, 5-6 has generated well over $50,000 in retail offspring, producing several Texas county show champions, premium sale barrows at Texas majors and today she can be identified as the dam of many. 5-6 produced the Varner’s winning gilt in both the Open and Junior Show at 2016 World Pork Expo, the In Style boar that sold to Apex Sires , the memorial gilts that sold for $5,000 at Breeders Best and the $8,500 Power Female deal. Just as impressive, you can add to that list she mothered the 2017 San Antonio Champion Berkshire Gilt. Additionally, to prove the strength in her blood 5-6 is the grand-dam of MB Blackish who just sired the 2018 Champion Berkshire Barrow at Houston, MB’s $9,000 Perfect Timing Gilt and the 3rd Overall Berkshire Gilt 2018 OYE. She sells bred to Family Jewels at MB Genetics (Drinking Class x Pearl Necklace littermate sister). Family Jewels is the result of Mauck’s Lot 1 bred female in December 2017. Littermate barrows were Reserve Purebred / 5th Overall Barrow at the 2017 Iowa State Fair and Champion Berkshire 2017 at the Kansas Jr. Livestock Show. The first Family Jewels pigs have been easy to sell and are winning in the early jackpots. We expect big things from this litter and are proud to offer such an opportunity to the buying public.

Few sows have impacted a breed quite like 27-1. In her illustrious career, she’s generated many impactful daughters, but one has always stood out as the best — 27-11.

27-11 was Champion Berk & Reserve Supreme Overall at the 2016 San Antonio Stock Show and is even more famously known around here as Monopoly’s sister. Within the breed, he certainly doesn’t need an introduction, and relative to his mother and his maternal sibs, there is no doubt he is the best generating son. In her short career as a sow, 27-11 produced ‘Cold Feet’, who sold in the ’17 Built the Brand sale to Premium Blend, and an elite keeper gilt that just took her turn in the crate. Her Radical-sired February litter was deep and easy to sell this spring, and we’re extremely excited about this mating to Slim Jim. We used Slim Jim (Keep Talkin’ x Fly By purchased from Gleason’s at ’17 STC) on a very high percentage of our Berkshire sows for summer litters. We’re confident this litter has the chance showring success and a sizeable return on investment!

BRED TO OPEN FIRE (CROSSROADS) • DUE JULY 17 Our cornerstone Schminke sow was the foundation female at the ‘14 Team Purebred Summer National. Her pedigree reads, Si x On Command x “Snookie” — those who follow the Chester breed should be familiar with Snookie & her littermates. Every single Chester in our program goes back to our foundation Schminke sow, & 14-11 is out of her very first litter. Sired by U-Turn, 14-11 has been absolutely incredible to us. In her first litter she raised the Champion Chester Barrow at the 2017 NWSS and Overturn at Top Cut Genetics. Her second litter she raised the high-points Chester barrow in Indiana, and the heavyweight class winner at WPX. Litter 3 she raised the Reserve Chester gilt and 3rd Overall at the 2018 MidSouth Regional in Mississippi, as well as the 6th Overall, and high selling, Chester gilt at OYE 2018. This sow is as impressive to the eye as any we have raised, and has done an amazing job making barrows and gilts who compete at the highest of levels. What’s just as important to us is she’s never has missed a heat cycle, breeds on the first try, and is awesome in the crate! Her daughters are the same way.

Old School LIVEWIRE x POWERFLUID BRED TO RUM RUNNER (ARMSTRONG) DUE AUGUST 22 When we set out to pick the perfect female, we quickly landed on the 16-8 Livewire sow. Here are some old school genetics still producing very well. There would be a lot of genetic diversity when breeding this sow in the future as there is no present day sires in her pedigree. 16-8 mother is also the mother of Uno which is still one of the most influential lines in the chester breed. Uno himself sired champions all over the nation including the Grand Gilt Overall at San Antonio in 2013. This 16-8 sow also raised Backfire, which sired the grandma to the Grand Gilt Overall at San Antonio this year. Lots and lots of genetic consistency in this blood line. With several young sows in our herd today, doing a great job we felt we could share this sow with the industry. This 16-8 sow most recently raised the Reserve Chester barrow at 2015 Houston Show. Last fall she raised a litter that brought in over $11,000 with several high placing animals in the south. She is still very productive in the crate and has life left in the tank. NOTE: longer toe on one foot due to a previous injury.

CHAMPION CHESTER GILT | Oklahoma Youth Expo 2016

She’s referred to as “Marsh-mella” in the big city of Marshall, OK., but tough enough to be called whatever in the streets. This is the 33-1 Reichart bred female who put Frontline on the Chester show pig map. 33-1 is a direct daughter of Bone Crusher and out of an Ein Sow — so there’s no surprise as to why this genetic super-star is so accomplished. The same pedigrees were utilized by Reichart Genetics to make the Champion Chester Barrow at Indy. 33-1 had a very competitive career in the Oklahoma show circuit, yet it pales to her production stats. In her first litter, 33-1 produced the Champion Chester Gilt at 2016 OYE, plus two powerhouse barrows. If that’s not impressive enough, she laid down the next fall and repeated that feat, producing the Champion Chester Gilt at OYE in 2017. How many do that? Need more? Premium Sale Chester Barrows have become the norm for Frontline at OYE and Tulsa. Her influence is embedded in Marshall and you have a very unique opportunity here. She’s offered OPEN and will be ready to breed for a winter litter for the ’19 show circuit. Huge opportunity for a money making investment!

Miss Duroc Daughter MIND GAMES x FORDICE (CHALLENGER)

OPEN GILT

It’s not very often that ONE sow is considered the cornerstone of a breed, but it may be the case with Miss Duroc, the Challenger sow at Norman’s. Her initial praises came from the ring as an elite show gilt, but her track record since is simply unmatched in Duroc history. She is most notable for her sons He’s the One, Class Act and New Direction, yet her daughters and granddaughters give substance to her résumé. Of all her accomplishments, perhaps her defining moment was at the NSR Fall Classic in 2017, where her presence was found in the pedigree of 5 out of 6 class-winning boars, 4 out of 6 class-winning gilts and a total of 60 percent of the top-four placing Durocs. When trying to identify a Miss Duroc daughter for this sale, there were certainly options, but Norman’s humbly say this 3 litter sired by Mind Games looks to be her best yet. Take this unreal opportunity, because if it weren’t for this event, she’d never be offered for sale!

Beyer’s Loss, Buyer’s Gain 5-7 | LIFETIME x 8-7 (MILESTONE)

BRED TO CHOW (CROSSROADS) • DUE JULY 31 Many people remember the strong set of Jr. Show Durocs raised by Beyers Farms, exhibited at the 2015 WPX. That crop, whose extended pedigree reads Lifetime x Milestone x Integrity x Full Shift x Prenup, produced the 3rd Overall Div. 1 gilt, a littermate barrow who was Champion Lightweight & 3rd overall. The 5-7 gilt went on to have a strong showing all summer across Indiana. Another powerhouse from that litter was the “Big League” boar sold to Shaffer Goldrush.

As a sow, 5-7 has been an awesome generator! Her first litter produced the Grand Overall Gilt at the 2016 Illinois State Fair Junior Show, a barrow which grabbed the banner for the Grand Overall Land of Lincoln, the Breed Champion & Reserve Grand Overall Gilt at the 2016 NJSA SW Regional, and the Grand Overall Gilt at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her three keeper daughters have proven their worth already. In her second litter she was equally as impressive by producing Fist Fight at Apex Sires and the Champion Barrow at Hale County, TX. 5-7 hit again with her third litter, the Bear Claw sired pigs included the Champion Duroc Barrow at 2018 Fort Worth, the Reserve Duroc at LSU, a class winning gilt at the NJSA SE Regional, and again, three more daughters were moved directly to the sow pens. Her fourth litter was born in January and will begin hitting the show circuit soon. In true in Beyers Farm fashion, two more females have been retained. The 5-7 sow was the first daughter we kept of the 8-7 Milestone sow, making her a half sib to the Rinderer Barrow that was Reserve Grand Overall Purebred Barrow at the 2017 WPX and 3rd Overall at NJSS. When Blake asked us to be a part of this sale we knew we had to offer our best, so we’re painfully offering choice of this pair of elite proven generators to the highest bidder. 54-11 is a littermate to our herd boar Backroad. However, her legacy might be better written as Lesson Plan’s Mother! She came from a very deep litter that included Backroad, the Champion Duroc at the 2016 Muskogee Regional, OK, the 5th Overall Duroc Barrow at 2016 OYE, a 2nd place barrow at Houston and another littermate barrow was a sale maker at Houston. As a sow, she has already left her mark on the breed. In her first litter sired by Prison Style 150 (Wintex) she produced: our 45-3 herd boar at Beyers Farms, Reserve Duroc Prospect at 2017 Hamilton County, TX, Reserve Duroc & Third Overall at Wagoner County, OK, and we retained two gilts. In her 2nd litter, sired by Watch & Learn (Purple Power Boar Stud), she produced Lesson Plan, Champion Duroc & Reserve Grand Overall Gilt at the 2017 Illinois State Fair Junior Show, and again we retained 2 gilts. Her 3rd litter was a repeat mating to Watch & Learn, and this time she produced, Gather Around (Chad Hill Durocs), 7th Overall & second High Selling Duroc at 2018 OYE, Premium Sale Barrow at 2018 San Antonio, a Premium Sale Barrow at 2018 Houston, and we retained 1 gilt. Her 4th litter sired by Lesson Plan will show later this summer. 54-11 is just now entering her prime as a generator! She comes from the same sow line as the 5-7 (other option in the chocie). Her pedigree reads, Can’t Stop x Different Deal x Full Shift x Prenup. Genetically similar, and as you’d expect, similar to look at, both of these sows are good built, stout featured reds, who generate shape, build and look at a high level. 30-7 is the result of a repeat mating and is a full sib to “Utterback”. She was a gilt that was never for sale and destined to stay in our program with her littermate, 30-9. Based on our experience with this sow family, it was an easy decision to breed her to Class Act and make full sibs in blood to the daughter of Utterback that won the gilt show at the ‘16 IN State Fair, and we did just that, 30-7 produced the Champion Duroc and 4th Overall Gilt at the ‘17 IN State Fair. For her second litter, we bred her to First Class to line up the pedigree and stack our most influential sows resulting in the Reserve Duroc Barrow at the NJSA SE Regional and a littermate boar named High Class at Shaffer’s Goldrush. Her January litter this year, sired by Intuition, had some of our top selling gilts of the spring and expectations are high for the summer. When it came to breeding 30-7 for this event, and again, based on what has worked the best, we decided to use Upper Class. He offers more extreme pieces relative to width of chest, stoutness of foot and bone while maintaining First Class look and correctness of skeleton. This mating should put you in the driver’s seat for both gilts and barrows that will compete at any level.

“Utterback” was a successful show gilt for the Utterback family all summer and won her class at the IN State Fair in 2015. Fortunately, we were able to get her back and bred her to Class Act for her first litter. In her first litter, she produced the Grand Gilt Overall at the ‘16 IN State Fair, three other littermates that won shows and First Class, the boar we sold to Premium Blend Genetics off the farm for $40,000 prior to the STC. The gilt that was Grand at Indiana in 2016 made her new home in Roanoke, IN for Platt Showpigs and her first barrow was Champ Duroc and Reserve Grand Overall at ‘17 IN State Fair. This time around, we sincerely wanted to pursue the best of both worlds and split bred her to Upper Class (the boar we sold online to Shaffer’s Gold Rush) and High Alert (the Blaine Olson boar at Upperhand). We are extremely confident in both boars and bred the majority of our summer litters the same way, in fact, High Alert sired two of our top selling gilts this spring for $7,750 & $3,800.

BRED TO FILTHY (SGI) • DUE AUGUST 22

Supreme THE PUREBRED HAMPSHIRE WHO REIGNED

Not many purebred Hampshire females can lay claim to winning a major, but this one can — Supreme Champion Gilt at the 2015 San Antonio Livestock Expo! One of the better Hampshire females we have laid eyes on, she is just as unique to look at as her pedigree. Only one shot of Augusta, four generations back. She also has no Carry On, Point Maker, All Eyes or The Game. So the mating options are endless. She has farrowed unassisted and easy every time. We have retained almost every gilt as well. She raised a class winning gilt at STC and a class winning boar at Belton. Mated to Filthy for end of August she be perfect to make Hamp classing barrows or keeper gilts. The Dirty Secret feature should blend well with her shape and look. She is as impressive today as she was at San Antonio in 2015. Her daughters are plentiful around home, so you might as well tie into a proven Hampshire sow who has won what many only dream of!

The Games Mother, as we call her, is the epitome of what we believe a Hampshire female should look and produce like! As a show gilt, she was 4th Overall Hampshire Gilt in 2014 at the World Pork Expo. In her first litter she produced a number of keeper gilts for our herd, and a barrow we showed to 3rd Overall Hampshire at the 2015 NJSS. In her second litter, we hit an absolute home run. She produced The Game, the Champion Hampshire Boar at the 2016 Winter Type Conference in Perry, Georgia, purchased for $58,000 by Shaffer’s Goldrush. He has sired countless champions across the country and was voted Hampshire Man of the Year, after dominating the 2017 Hampshire Gilt shows at both WPX and NJSS. His littermate brother, New Recruit, was sold to Top Cut Genetics for $20,000 off the farm, and littermate gilts were named Champion and Reserve Hampshire at the Southeast Regional. To say that this sow has been a cornerstone for our program would be an understatement, and we feel her genetic value is unmatched in the breed!

The sire of 9-8 is Fugitive who was the $60,000 Top Selling Hampshire Boar at the 2015 Indiana State Fair and that we had on stud for a short period of time. 9-8 is carrying her 4th litter. 9-8 is bred to Here I Am to farrow July 17th. A Family Affair REVOLUTION x OUTLOOK SELLS OPEN

FUGATES WILL SUPPLY (2) DOSES OF HAVOC (CROSSROADS) OR SMOKE ‘UM (SHOWTIMES) FOR A FALL LITTER.

At the Fugate’s, it’s certainly a family experience and it wasn’t an easy decision to sell Cher 1-9, the sow that really started Maddie in the Landrace business. “Cher” is very old school in her pedigree with the immortal Revolution as her sire and the incredible Outlook on the bottom. As a show gilt, she hung Top 5 banners beginning at the World Pork Expo, 3rd Overall at the NJSS and Champion at the Illinois State Fair. In addition, a littermate barrow to her was 4th Overall Landrace at the WPX. As a sow, Cher 1-9 has never missed regardless of our mating choice. In first litter sired by Zeus, a daughter was named Champion honors at the NJSA Eastern Regional. Her 2017 spring litter was sired by Call Me Crazy and hung banners in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and New York. Currently, the 2018 litter of Got Em’s were the easier to sell than anything we’ve ever had. She’s bred for a July 15 litter to Havoc, the exciting new sire at Crossroad Genetics. He carries the momentum of his sire, Mayhem, but in a package will pass the breed composition test. Cher 1-9 pedigree indicates that she would also pass a DNA breed composition test, making this mating a surefire situation to keep boar pigs intact for the betterment of the breed. This is a very unique opportunity to tap into genetics that are relatively new to the Landrace world, but also incorporate bloodlines that started the trend of productive, yet showring dominant Landrace.

Big Bob’s Babe RAISE THE BAR x DJANGO

SELLS OPEN

There are a lot of good show gilts in the industry, but few who replicate their success in the ring, in the crate. But 2-4 isn’t just another good show gilt. In the winter of 2015 this Raise the Bar female, raised by Nation Showpigs, was the High Points winner in the O.C.P.A. She went on to land a slot in the ‘16 OYE Gilt Sale — where she left as the highselling Spot with a new home at CKL. That same week, her littermate brother was named Champion Spot at Houston. With winning in her blood it was time for 2-4 to go to work — and she sure did! In her first litter alone, she raised the High Point gilt in the O.C.P.A., premium sale barrows at OYE and keeper gilts for CKL. This young sow has done a remarkable job for Big Bob and his crew in a very short time. Her barrows in all three litters have been consistently competitive and her daughters are herd builders. We set out to “Assemble the Best,” so take this unique opportunity to get the female at the heart of CKL! CKL WILL SUPPLY (2) DOSES OF BACKROAD FOR A FALL LITTER.

BRED TO SOUND OFF (GOLDRUSH)

When the sale committee reached out to me about putting an elite sow in this sale, I told them I needed a couple days to figure out if I could sell the Loud Mouth’s mom. Never in a million years did I think we would sell arguably the most influential sow in Spot breed history. After much thought, Stacy and I decided she deserved a chance to sell amongst the best sows in the nation. There are no words to describe what this sow has done for the LOWD Herdmark — to date, she’s generated over $100,000. She has always been easy to breed, farrowed easy and dependable without pampering. Her sons include: Loud Mouth (Upperhand), the $37,000 Champion boar at the Indiana State Fair ‘15, who some consider the greatest Spot boar in history; Lockjaw, one of the most exciting spot boars we have ever produced; Pistol (Top Cut), Loud Talker and Louder Now. It is hard to imagine the spot breed right now without Loud Mouth and it all goes back to his momma. We believe this is truly a once in a generation opportunity and we are excited to make it possible. She sells bred to ‘Sound Off ’ (littermate to Saving Grace at A Cut Above, the $7500 second high selling boar at 2017 CPS Summer Type). Our first crop of Sound Off pigs look incredible and we felt very comfortable breeding him to our very best. Sit in and enjoy the ride cause owning this one will be fun!

BRED TO DIRTY DEAL (SGI) DUE AUGUST 3

When we reached out to Bobell Farms we knew exactly the female we were after — 23-6. Her resume started early, raising a popular class winner at the 2016 Indiana State Fair, and a 3rd place Heavyweight Cross at Houston in 2017. But she outdid herself in the spring of 2017, raising Red Alert, the Reserve Grand Boar at NSR Summer Type Conference purchased by Genetic Edge/Moyer for $27,500. The Bobell’s haven’t let many 23-6 daughters leave the farm. Therefore, it was a painful situation for Ben to accept the invitation to The Exchange, but he agreed she’d be an industry highlight. One other thing that makes 23-6 special to the Bobell breeding herd is her unique pedigree with 2 shots of their foundation Super Monster sow. The litter 23-6 is carrying for this fall could easily be her best mating yet, being bred to one of the most elite Dirty Secret sons in the industry, Dirty Deal!

BRED TO SECRET SOCIETY (PREMIUM BLEND) DUE JULY 26

DON’T MISS THE ONLY CHANCE

TO MAKE YOUR OWN

Dirty Secret

In the summer of 2014, we had a litter of pigs that will always leave a mark in my mind. Our blue Rated R sow laid down and had 5 calico gilts out of Sugar Daddy. After watching those Calico gilts grow and come back after being shown locally, it was very evident that their build and function would allow them to make a very unique contribution to our program moving forward, much like their maternal sister did for Mauck’s as the dam of the Grand Barrow at Indiana State Fair in 2016. In their first litters, both sows were bred to Deuces. At Houston that year, Karen (15-4) had a class winning barrow and her sister, Erin (15-2), had 2 class winners and the Reserve Middleweight Hampshire. Then, in the Fall of 2015, we bred them both to Bachelor Party. All of the pigs out of both matings were incredibly impressive. 15-2 made a gilt that is an absolute cornerstone around here and was Grand Champion at the West Texas Fair for Weston. 15-4 not only had Reserve Grand at the State Fair of Louisiana, but had a couple of elite keeper gilts and a boar pig that I wanted to watch grow. Early on, I told Nick Berry that I thought he had the potential to be something special and as he grew, his joints, feet, angles and build all continued to stay on course like I hoped. When Nick came and saw him in the fall of 2016, he walked in my barn, the boar stood up and 5 seconds later, we agreed on a destination for Dirty Secret. We believed in Dirty Secret because of the sows behind him and it’s been incredible to watch him work for so many other breeders. Secret Society as her Service Sire has been my plan since he weighed 50 lbs. This will obviously allow the new owner to tap into this genetic line with more potency, and have a sow that has done a lot for us and many others throughout the country.

Sister, Sister VERBATUM x ‘ROXY’ (TAPP DATT x BLACK ATTACK) The price to secure Roxy at the 2013 WPX was steep and yet five years later, we’d do it again in a heartbeat! Leaving Des Moines that summer, we had every intention of a Swagger mating for her first litter but when the time came, we were excited to give Verbatim a chance to prove he was worth the effort. We had cloned the Reserve Dark Cross at ’13 San Antonio resulting in Verbatim and using him was chance to double up the Black Attack influence. We didn’t realize it then, but that decision proved to be pivotal for our biggest wins in early 2018. There are three 225 litter sows on the farm (Verbatim x Roxy) and all three have contributed daughters, sons and backdrop wins. 225-6 is the mother of the Reserve Grand Barrow at ’18 Ft Worth, the Grand Overall Barrow at ’18 San Antonio and the Champion Cross Barrow at the ’18 NJSA Southeast Regional. She also produced a class-winning cross at Ft Worth in her first litter and five keeper gilts and a boar (T132) in her second litter. The 225 litter sows have earned the attention they’ve received of late but it shouldn’t go unsaid; since that litter, Roxy has generated multiple high value prospects and backdrop winners and by sale time, should be nursing a litter sired by her grandson, Dirty Deal!

Dirty South, Little Bro, King of the Hill or Dirty Secret! 225-5 is the mother of the Reserve Grand Barrow at ’18 National Western and his popular littermate, ‘Dirty Deal’ at SGI. The keeper littermate sisters to those two are high quality and after recently weaning Short Bus’, we elected to leave her open instead of breeding for a September litter.

225-9 had a litter by American Bad Boy early and that daughter (58-12) is on the rise at HH. Her T118 sired litter last fall included our $14,000 prospect at Perfect Timing that is named ‘Draft Pick’ and is working for MB Genetics in Texas. A 4th place littermate barrow had many friends at Rodeo Austin and the keeper gilts are exciting. She’s carrying full sibs to all the winners out of 225-5 & 225-6 in 2018.

BRED TO DIRTY SECRET (SGI) • DUE JULY 24

She will always be 27-1 at Hilty’s but for the rest of the country, she’s better known as the mother of ‘Baby Blue!’ He was the popular herdboar that Hilty sold off the farm last summer for $70,000 to Spinler in New York. Beyond her notable son, she also produced one of Will’s favorite show barrows ever — the Champion LW Light Cross at the ‘17 Ohio State Fair. To date, every daughter out of 27-1 has been retained and they’re in position to be a big part of the future at Hilty’s. It probably doesn’t matter if you choose to call her 27-1 or Baby Blue’s mother, what matters the most is that she’s bred to Dirty Secret and will be for sale at The Exchange! BUILT FOR EXCELLENCE IN MODERN-DAY

ion t c u d o r P g Showpi

The showring success for Hilty Showpigs is no surprise to anyone who’s been to Pennsylvnia and seen the sowherd. From one pen to the next, they’re full of sows that are built for modern day showpig production. And they’re even more impressive when you find out that many of them all trace back to one particular sow. Will has been steadfast in his approach to build around his best females and this lot offers an incredible opportunity to tap into the heart of his program. The Sky Wire x Colt 45 pedigree you see on these two sows worked so well that he did it three times in a row and these two have quickly found their way to the front of the line.

BRED TO HOUSE MONEY (HIPOINT) • DUE JULY 13 To some, 27-8 may not be as noteworthy as her sister. But around the Hilty firm, she’s done her fair share and then some. Her barrows have been leadoff and top selling at the ‘Breeder’s Best’ and ‘Major League’ sales in Texas. And they don’t just sell well -- they feed too! In her career to date, 27-8 has produced a staggering 27 Grand or Reserve Grand showpigs and her daughters are beginning to do the same. Just last season, a 27-8 daughter produced Blue Moon that sold to Hi Point Genetics and his popular littermate sister that was 4th Overall Commercial Gilt at ‘18 OYE. This time around, 27-8 is bred to House Money, the KMS son at Hi Point that is off to a fast start in the Midwest Jackpot season.

Our excitement for this event has been high from the moment we learned about this sale concept and the platform that it provides for all of us to “exchange” elite breeding animals. Our current breeding sheet at LSP includes 24 females in production that trace back to the same sow family as 2-7. A quick review of this sow’s accomplishments includes generating the Grand Barrow at the 2017 Iowa State Fair FFA Show, 6 class winners at Texas majors, 5 herd boars and several other county and jackpot champions. Most recently, 2-7 raised Down n Dirty, the popular young Dirty Secret son housed at SGI.

BRED TO DIRTY SECRET (SGI) • DUE JULY 26

DIRTY SECRET (SGI) | Service Sire

Savanna is absolutely the most elite sow on our farm — plain and simple! Every litter this Sugar Daddy x (Boondocks x Alligator Liz clone) has farrowed, has produced at least a class winner at a major show. She’s the mother of our popular Reserve Grand at San Antonio in 2017, and our herd boar, Fletcher. Sired by Josey Wales, Fletcher is a littermate to two division winners and a reserve at the 2017 Louisiana State Fair. Savanna’s last litter shown this spring, had a lightweight class winner at San Antonio and a crossbred class winner at Houston. I could go on and on about all the smaller shows her babies have won, but the bottom line is, how often do you have the opportunity to purchase a female who has raised a champion at San Antonio, and is bred to the hottest boar in the country!? Elevate your status with Landry TRIPLE CROWN x JOHNNY MONSTER x DRIVE BY

BRED TO PROTOTYPE (PREMIUM BLEND GENETICS) DUE AUGUST 5

Landry 81-3 — THE DAM OF ELEVATE — GRAND DAM OF RED EYE “Landry” is a Triple Crown daughter out of “Snow White,” the popular Weisinger gilt purchased by WinMor for $12,500 at the 2013 WPX. Very early in her career, Landry raised the Reserve Champion Light Cross at the Fall Classic, a very popular OYE sale-making gilt and the Grand Champion Cross Gilt at the 2016 WPX. Last fall, she raised a barrow that sold at for $3500 at Perfect Timing and placed 4th at Houston, after winning his county show. Everyone knows that Ron likes to hoard gilts and at Winmor, they’ve done just that by keeping nearly every daughter out of Snow White, Landry and her maternal sisters. In fact, when the littermate to Landry was mated to Visionary she also generated a big win at the WPX when her daughter was the Reserve Champion Cross Gilt and Top Selling at $26,500 at the ‘17 WPX. Aside from generating banner-winning show gilts, Landry also produced “Elevate,” who sold to Worthington Showpigs in Utah. A Landry daughter raised “Red Eye” who sold to Crossroads Genetics. for $20,000. Landry sells bred to the Prototype, the popular Weisinger-bred boar at Premium Blend.

Sons aside, her daughters and granddaughters were just as influential for multiple herds across the U.S. During her tenure, Cherokee Lady could be found in the pedigree of 99% of the Mapes Hampshire Herd. Her influence was in multiple Hog College Boars and Gilts and she was the mother of the 2001 American Breeder Display which sold for $14,500.

* BUYER IS PURCHASING THE PREGNANT RECIP *

For several years, one sow dominated the Hampshire breed and it was none other that the legendary Cherokee Lady 3-4 Reg # 342587004. Cherokee Lady did everything a sow was supposed to do: she regularly bred on rotation, farrowed unassisted, weaned large litters, and most importantly passed those traits on to her progeny. And even more importantly, her progeny did the same and that’s what made her so special. Cherokee Lady was a direct daughter of influential KTF Impact 16-6 and raised by Ron Smith and Family, IA back in 1993. Cherokee Lady was the Inductee into 1999 Hampshire Brood Sow Hall of Fame for her accomplishments, for not only the Mapes Family, but several other Hampshire breeders. It is mind boggling to think of everything that could actually be listed on Cherokee Lady’s resume, however, consider this one line and very IMPACT-ful piece of history: she farrowed 11 Purebred Hampshire litters and weaned 105 pigs. Of those weaned pigs, more than 70 of her direct sons and daughter can be found as parents in Hampshire pedigrees. Because of her heritage and her unqiue ability to transmit her best traits to her descendants, few will ever rival her genetic impact on any breed.
