Partnerships for Learning In fields as dynamic as journalism and communication, partnerships with other institutions play an important role in experiential learning. Students from the Morgan State International Reporting and Writing class joined Penn State students for a reporting trip to Greece. Our students have also made similar trips to Cuba and Selma, Alabama. Similarly, faculty exchanges and residencies allow students to learn from highly experienced professionals. As a Distinguished Artist-in-Residence, award-winning documentarian Stanley Nelson taught courses in documentary filmmaking on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Outside professionals are regularly invited to teach master classes in specialized areas of study.
