HISTORY
THE SCENE Mormaii started on the seventies on a fishermen tow in the south of Brazil:Garopaba/SC (In Tupi Guarani means “Bay of Boats”)
THE DREAM Dr. Morongo, the young doctor, comes to live in Garopaba to attend in the small health center, take care of his son and enjoy the good waves of the place. But the cold water of the place impede him to practice his favorite sport: the surf.
THE BEGINING In his free time, Dr. Morongo started to develop and sewing his own neoprene cloths. Then, he made the same for his friends and very soon he started a small factory in his house.
THE RESULT Began a success history, that became the bigger factory of neoprene cloths in South America.

THE POWER OF MORMAII The business model is defined by a different and efficient strategy: Licensee 100% of its production and sales/distribution, concentrating his mind in new business and branding.
THE LICENSING This model/kind of business was introduced in the Brazilian surfwear market by Mormaii, in 1995. (the first company was Twist Incobrås). And then a lot of other companies were incorporated to Mormaii’s group making the brand even more strong.
Nowadays the Licensees Group have 31 companies. The mix of products (portfolio) have more than 2.500 items.
