MORPHY’S will not be held responsible for typographical errors. Neither we nor the consignor, make any guarantees, warranties, or representation, expressed or implied, in regard to the property or the correctness of the catalog or other description of the authenticity of authorship, physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, provenance, exhibition, literature or historic relevance of the property or otherwise. No statement anywhere whether oral or written, shall be deemed such a guarantee, warranty or representation. Prospective bidders should inspect the property before bidding to determine its condition, size and whether or not it has been restored. It is the bidder’s responsibility to initiate contact with Morphy’s in request for additional information regarding the items. GAMING DEVICES - MORPHY’S may hold these items for up to 5 business days to allow state agencies to verify the purchaser’s information. All auction participants are urged to check the legality of possession in and/or shipment of gaming devices to their state of residence. Ownership of gaming devices is prohibited in these states: Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee. If you become a high bidder on a gaming item, and you are from one of the prohibited states as listed here: • You must pay for your item, • You will not be able to take possession of the item (MORPHY’S cannot ship it to you or allow pickup), • MORPHY’S will consign the item in your name to the next appropriate auction. If you do not pay for the item in full, MORPHY’S will block you from participating in future auctions. MORPHY’s strongly recommends that you personally evaluate any items that you are bidding on, and make your own determination about its grade. MORPHY’S offers no guarantee of grade for uncertified items sold and subsequently submitted to a third-party grading service. o Cards sold referencing a third-party grading service are sold “as is” without any express or implied warranty. Certain warranties may be available from the grading services, and the Bidder is referred to them for further details: Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), Sportscard Guaranty LLC (SGC), Global Authentics LLC, Beckett Grading Services (BGS), JO Sports, Inc. o MORPHY’S will not accept return of certified items due to possible differences of opinion with respect to the grade offered by any third-party organization, dealer, or service. Terms & Conditions o Lots returned must be completely intact in their original form and undamaged holder, or there will be no credit. Certifications are void and returns are not accepted for any cards removed from their third-party grading holder. o All elements of the MORPHY’S POST-SALE RETURN POLICY apply. There are absolutely no exceptions to this policy. • On any lot presented with a Letter of Authenticity (“LOA”) issued by MORPHY’S o The bidder shall solely rely upon the warranties of the authentication provider issuing the Letter or opinion, or on the warranties of the authentication provider of the bidder’s choice. o Warranty inures only to the original purchaser. Purchaser may not transfer the rights afforded under the LOA, and it is null and void when Purchaser transfers or attempts to transfer the lot. o The LOA warranty is valid from date of the auction in which Purchaser was awarded the lot to four (4) years after its purchase. o The LOA warranty is valid as to its attribution to the person or entity described or to the lot’s usage, e.g. game worn. o Claim procedure: o Purchaser must contact MORPHY’S within the warranty period, prior to submission of the lot as to his intent to make a claim, receive prior approval, and arrange secure shipment. o Purchaser must present with the claim, authoritative written evidence that the lot is not authentic as determined by a known expert in the sports field. o If MORPHY’S concurs that the lot is not as represented, Purchaser shall be refunded their purchase price. o If the MORPHY’s denies the claim, the Purchaser agrees to the AGREEMENT REGARDING GOVERNING LAW, VENUE, AND LEGAL RIGHTS noted herein. o The LOA does not provide for incidental or consequential damages or other indirect damages. Any lot sold with a certificate of authenticity or other warranty from an entity other than Auctioneer or Morphy’s affiliates is subject to such issuing entity’s rules and such conditions are the sole remedy afforded to purchaser. • In the event MORPHY’s cannot deliver the lot, or subsequently it is established that the lot lacks title, provenance, or authenticity, MORPHY’s liability shall be limited to voiding of the sale and refund of purchase price. In no case shall MORPHY’s liability exceed the winning bid on that lot, which bid shall be deemed for all purposes the value of the lot. After one year has elapsed, MORPHY’S maximum liability shall be limited to any buyer’s premium earned on that lot. • Due to changing grading standards over time, differing interpretations, and to possible mishandling of items by subsequent owners, MORPHY’S reserves the right to grade items differently than shown on certificates from any grading service that accompany the items. MORPHY’S also reserves the right to grade items differently than the grades shown in the prior catalog should such items be reconsigned to any future auction. • There is a subjectivity to grading, especially the grading of cards. Every effort is made to verify the condition of each lot as it is described. MORPHY’S accepts items for auction after careful scrutiny by not only ourselves, but, when necessary, by other leading authenticators. We cannot guarantee that every card described by us will in all cases receive exactly the same grade, or even be accepted for grading, from any third-party grading service. Similarly, we cannot guarantee that every card graded by one third-party grading service will in all cases receive exactly the same grade by another third-party grading service. Occasionally a lot description will include the words “we have submitted,” which is intended to be taken literally and give bidders great confidence that MORPHY’S has not “done anything” to the cards to alter or otherwise improve their appearance and

ultimate grade. No warranty, whether expressed or implied, is made with respect to any grade, condition, or other adjectival descriptions, which can and do vary, even among experts. • Large Autograph Group Disclaimer: When dealing with a single individual auction lot containing many items, these lots are offered with the explicit understanding that it is possible that there may be a small percentage which are not authentic. When authenticating large lots, such as a collection of 6,000+ signed 3 x 5 cards, or a set of 700+ signed baseball cards, great care has been taken in the authentication process, with all the greater attention focused on any items representing a concentration of value. It is always possible that on rare occasions a secretarial or stamped signature could be missed here or there. Without this disclaimer, as a practical matter, it would not be possible for MORPY’S to offer such lots at all. Such material includes, but is not limited to, ivory from elephants and walruses, tortoise shell, crocodile skin, whalebone, rhinoceros horn, some species of coral and certain woods. Restrictions on the importation, exportation, sale, transfer, and/or possession of goods containing materials from protected species derive from international, federal, and state laws and regulations promulgated thereunder. JEWELRY AND WATCHES • Jewelry Descriptions and Condition Reports: Lots being offered are sold as-is on the day of sale. Condition reports, either written or verbal, are provided as a courtesy only, and are not to be taken as fact or guarantees of condition or quality of the lots. All information provided is the opinion of the specialist at MORPHY’S, including but not limited to weights, grades, color, and clarity. All gemstones and diamonds are measured and graded in their setting unless stated otherwise. All weights and grades are approximate. Buyers wishing to have a grading or gemological report from an independent, internationally recognized laboratory, such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the American Gemological Laboratories (AGL), may request one at their own expense or hire an independent adviser of their choosing. • Watch Descriptions and Condition Reports: The physical characteristics, timing accuracy or functionality of timepieces cannot be guaranteed, and all items are sold as-is. o Any condition statement reflects the condition of the watch on the date of the report. Condition can change from the time of the report to the day of sale. o Photographs are for identification purposes only. Buyers may not use them as precise indications of size or condition. o The origin or authenticity of all components cannot be guaranteed. o Watches with waterproof or water-resistant cases – Morphy’s may open cases to develop descriptions, and cannot guarantee that any watch is waterproof or water-resistant at the time of purchase. Morphy’s recommends that the buyer have a professional watchmaker evaluate the watch at buyer’s expense. o Buyers must be aware that watches may need general service, change of battery, or further repair work for which the buyer is solely responsible. o Dials - All watches have the possibility that after their original date of manufacture they received reconditioning or replacement of dials or elements of the dial such as but not limited to standard or luminescent hour markers, hands, script, date or measurement indices, lacquer, and finish. Buyer is solely responsible for determining and understanding such condition issues. • The lack of a condition report does not imply that the item or lot is free from imperfections, defects or wear and tear of the aging process. This includes but is not limited to: deficient stones, needed repair or defects. • It is common and generally accepted in the jewelry industry that some diamonds and most gemstones have been enhanced with various treatments to improve their overall appearance. o These treatments include but are not limited to: heating, dying, oiling, laser drilling, HTHP, wax, bleaching, irradiation, resin or polymer impregnation and various other techniques. o Unless stated in the title, it is assumed that one or more treatments have been performed to the stones. While many treatments are considered permanent, this cannot be guaranteed. o Please note that many treatments cannot be determined without sophisticated laboratory testing. BIDDING RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder. The auctioneer alone has the right to reopen the bidding of an item if deemed necessary due to a dispute. If there is a tie bid between the floor and Internet or absentee bid, the floor bid takes precedence. MORPHY’S and its representatives reserve the right to remove those attendees who impede preview and/or the auction. Title to all merchandise shall pass to the highest bidder at the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer. The buyer will then assume all risk and full responsibility of the lot purchased once ownership has changed. We recommend that you arrange insurance for your items immediately upon becoming the highest bidder. MORPHY’S is not responsible for any errors in bids, omissions of bids, or failure to execute bids and shall have no liability to any bidder for any technical or other failure associated with the internet, absentee bidding, or telephone bidding. • ABSENTEE BIDDING - MORPHY’S will accept absentee bids if pre-authorized by mail, fax or through www.morphyauctions. com online. Terms & Conditions If there is a tie bid between the internet bidding venues and the floor, the floor bid takes precedence. If a credit card has been provided to one of the online bidding platforms, MORPHY’S reserves the right to use and charge the credit card if the winning bidder has not paid via another method by the 7 day term in Payment Terms below. Due to our fast paced auctions and bids coming from floor bidders, phone bidders, internet bidders and absentee bids, the auctioneer has the final word on all item(s) sold. You (the bidder) assume the risk of winning an item online and not having the item actually sell to you. This is due to the final call of the auctioneer and the operator not being able to re-open that lot. Online bidders are responsible for accidental bidding as if they bid normally. • BID RESULTS – MORPHY’S will only contact successful bidders. Please allow 24-48 hours post auction to receive your official invoice from Morphy Auctions. The invoice will include item, hammer price, premium, packing and handling, shipping, insurance, and any other charges that apply. RESERVES

The majority of our items are unreserved, but occasionally items may carry a moderate reserve. Please note that when a lot carries a reserve, the reserve is usually somewhere below our low estimate. In the case of a reserved item, the seller has authorized the auctioneer to bid on their behalf until the reserve price is reached.

BUYER’S PREMIUM

A 23% buyer’s premium will be added to all successful bids and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase cost. If payment by cash, check, money order or wire transfer is made within 7 days of the sale a 3% discount may be taken on the Hammer price by the buyer. DISCOUNT IS ONLY AVAILABLE IF INVOICE IS PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS from the sale date. Split payments are subject to a 23% buyer’s premium if a credit card is used as any form of total payment. A surcharge will be added for any third party online bidding platform that the bidder utilizes. Refer to your bidding platform of choice for the final buyer’s premium.

SALES TAX

Lots delivered to you, or your representative are subject to all applicable state and local taxes, unless appropriate permits are on file with MORPHY’S. Bidder agrees to pay MORPHY’S the actual amount of tax due in the event that sales tax is not properly collected due to: 1) an expired, inaccurate, or inappropriate tax certificate or declaration, 2) an incorrect interpretation of the applicable statute, 3) or any other reason. The appropriate form or certificate must be on file at and verified by MORPHY’S five days prior to Auction, or tax must be paid; only if such form or certificate is received by MORPHY’S within 4 days after the Auction can a refund of tax paid be made. Lots from different auctions may not be aggregated for sales tax purposes.

PAYMENT

Watch auction purchases and any invoice totaling more than $100,000 must be paid within three (3) days. All other merchandise must be paid in full within seven (7) days of the date of the sale. If payment by cash, check, money order or wire transfer is made within 7 days of the sale, a 3% discount on the Hammer price may be taken by the buyer. POST SALE RETURN POLICY

MORPHY’S engages knowledgeable experts to provide catalog descriptions on the merchandise we sell. Any buyer who has made their payment within the due date of 7 calendar days who wishes to report a problem must notify MORPHY’S within three calendar (3) days of receipt of their purchased item. Included are many historic items including early fight worn equipment, an incredible document regarding changing his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali, and the Gold Nugget presented to Ali in Zaire. According to Gary Traugh “It has been one of the most exciting experiences of my life discovering items from the early life and career of Muhammad Ali. Much of Ali’s life is undocumented prior to 1960; as such, it is safe to say this is the largest and most historic collection of young Cassius Clay memorabilia ever offered for sale. It’s both exciting and bitter sweet, as searching for and collecting these items has been a large part of my life, but the world deserves to see and know these items still exist.”

1 - 1954 CASSIUS CLAY EARLIEST KNOWN BOXING GLOVE. This glove is a left hand sparring size glove. Painted in white on the front “Glove Used By Cassius Clay When He First Came To Columbia Gym Age 12”. In the interior of the wrist are the initials “C.C.” (Cassius Clay) and is marked “Columbia Gym Louisville KY”. The glove itself has weathered from time and use. Visually it is a reminder of the humble beginnings of a boy who had his bicycle stolen. A letter provided by noted Ali collector Peter Markovian traces the gloves history and has it originating from the collection of early Cassius Clay trainer Joe Martin. 2 - MARCH 5, 1958 MUHAMMAD ALI SIGNED GOLDEN GLOVES FINALS PROGRAM. Cassius is pictured in this Chicago Golden Gloves finals program in the 175 pound class. That day a young Cassius Clay lost a decision to Tony Madigan. Program was signed in black sharpie in 2008. The signature is shaky but bold and a 9/10 out of 10 quality. The program itself is in very good condition but presents nicer. A rare program to find autographed. Full JSA LOA 1,000.00 - 2,000.00

3 - PAIR OF THE ORIGINAL CASSIUS CLAY SIGNED ITEMS. Cassius Clay, born 1810 in Kentucky. He was a “Kentucky planter, politician, and emancipationist who worked for the abolition of slavery. He freed the slaves that were handed down as his inheritance from his father”. Nine years after his death a slave descendant named his child Cassius Marcelous Clay after him. He was the father of Cassius Clay who later became Muhammad Ali. This group includes two signature cuts mounted with engravings. The fountain pen signatures are 8 out of 10. 5 - LARGE LANDSCAPE PAINTING BY MUHAMMAD ALI’S FATHER. Painting is one of four or five known to be painted by Cassius Clay Sr. It hung in his Louisville home and had a color wheel focused on it to give it alternative looks. The future star trophy awarded to a young Cassius Clay from Louisville Golden Gloves and WAVE TV stands 14” tall and has a metallic boxer atop. There are two eagles on lower platforms and a brass plate at the center. There is a plate that reads Cassius Clay along the bottom. The white Bakelite trophy is stamped twice underneath “Columbia Gym”. The trophy comes from the collection of Cassius Clay trainer Joe Martin. 7 - 1958 CASSIUS CLAY LOUISVILLE GOLDEN GLOVES CHAMMPIONSHIP MEDAL. Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight medal won by Cassius Clay in the 1958 Louisville tournament. The medal is 1-1/4” x 1-3/4” and features a boxer on a gold base metal attached to a red, white and blue ribbon. The reverse is inscribed “Louisville Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Champion 1958” (Cassius Clay). There is an additional hang tag stamped from the desk of Joe Martin that reads “1958 Golden Gloves Medal Won By Cassius Clay Light Heavyweight Champion”. There is a letter from Ali collector Peter Markovian detailing the sale from Joe Martin. Letter of Opinion from Craig Hamilton. 2,000.00 - 4,000.00 8 - CASSIUS CLAY COLUMBIA GYM USED JUMP ROPE. In a letter from the 1983 Cassius Clay trainer Joe Martin details the origins of the jump rope “I bought this jump rope for Cassius and he learned to skip rope with it like no other”. The rope has white athletic taped handles and is stamped “Columbia Gym” in blue. “Clay” is written in red at the top of each handle (not autographed). 10 - 1958 CASSIUS CLAY SIGNED USED HAND WRAP. Cloth elastic handwrap made by Post was used by Cassius Clay during the time he trained at the Columbia Gym. It has been signed “Your Friend Cassius Clay 19-58”. The wrap itself is 2” wide and retains its original ties. The handwrap originates from Larry Duncan of Louisville; a friend of Cassius and Rudy Clay. There is a letter from Ali collector detailing his purchase of the handwrap. Brown leather gloves show modest use and have “Columbia Gym” stamped inside. They are the proper size for sparring and have the initials “C.C.” (Cassius Clay) on the inside in vintage pen. Gloves were used during the time that Joe Martin was his trainer at the Columbia Gym. These purple satin trunks manufactured by Post have the words “LOU KY” on the left leg piping. They are marked on the interior “C.C.” for Cassius Clay and are stamped “Columbia Gym”. Attached to the interior is a vintage tag that reads “VERY EARLY PAIR OF BOXING TRUNKS WORN BY CASSIUS CLAY COLUMBIA GYM CIRCA 1954”. 13 - LOT OF 2: MUHAMMAD ALI CLOCK AND STATUE. The first item, an Ali clock, is very reminiscent of the Joe Louis Clock of the 1940’s. It has a full bust pose of the champ over a clock in the torso area and mounted to a wooden base. There is a small plate that reads “Float Like A Butterfly Sting Like A Bee” on the front of the base. The bust of Ali is 8” tall and features a good likeness of the champ. It is probably made of a composite and has “Muhammad Ali” embossed in the front and the words “The Greatest” impressed into the reverse. Both are excellent condition. (Excellent). 300.00 - 600.00

The statue is cast in zinc and finished in antique bronze. There is a plate on the front with an excerpt from the poem “Invictus” by W.E. Hanley. Measures 19” tall and 15” wide at the wooden base. Exceptional group of Cassius photographs taken in a suit in front of a portrait of Elijah Muhammad: Leader of the Nation of Islam. The photos were used in conjunction with an interview in the October 1964 issue of Playboy. There are 13 images including two proof sheets. On February 18, 1959 Cassius Clay won a three round decision vs Charlie Dobbins to win the Louisville Golden Gloves Championship and send him onto Chicago where he won the National Golden Gloves title. Presented are the gloves that a young Cassius Clay used to defeat Charlie Dobbins. Gloves are red leather with Wilson labels at the wrist. There is a AAU 10 oz label on the inside of each glove. Both gloves are marked “C.C.” on the inside for Cassius Clay and both have an “OK” in a circle as well. The gloves are stamped “Louisville G.G.” on the inside. 19 - CASSIUS CLAY’S LUCKY COIN FROM 1960 OLYMPICS. The REAL GOLD MEDAL- actually the closest thing to it as the original Gold Medal was lost decades ago in the Ohio river. Presented is the lucky coin worn in the sock of Cassius Clay at the 1960 Olympics. This is the only known artifact of that historic gold medal victory. 54 - AFRICA SHAPED GOLD NUGGET PRESENTED TO MUHAMMAD ALI IN ZAIRE. On October 30, 1974 in Kinshasa, Zaire, Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman to become the heavyweight champion of the World for a second time. This gold nugget was given to Muhammad during his time in Zaire, possible by President Mobutu himself. Certainly this was an extravagant gift at the time. The nugget itself is naturally in the shape of Africa with Zaire painted in green. There is a small diamond inset approximately where the city of Kinshasa would be. The nugget weighs 29.2 grams and has been assayed at 86.4% gold or between 20 and 21 Karats. It appears as if the box is original with a small brass plate that reads “Presented to Muhammad Ali, Sportsman, Kinshasa Nit Kini Zaire 1974”. Muhammad Ali is written on the lip of the box in ink. The nugget comes directly from assistant trainer Drew “Bundini” Brown and has a 1984 letter of Provenance. They were probably used at the time Ali was training for George Chuvalo or Mac Foster Written on each manufacturers label is Ali in ball point pen and on the inside of the cuff(nearly gone). They certainly appear to be well worn. There is a very light signature on the inside of the right glove that is a 2 out of 10, It has only been examined by Craig Hamilton who has provided his Letter of Opinion. 113 - SPECTACULAR BABE RUTH SINGLE SIGNED BASEBALL PSA/DNA 7.5, JSA, SGC. An amazing fresh to the market Babe Ruth single signed baseball with great family history. Signed on September 12, 1947 at the Hotel Statler in Boston where the Babe was a guest speaker. Then 19, a young Richard attended the American Legion Junior Baseball Scholarship banquet with his father a prominent Ford Dealer at the time. The extraordinary baseball he received was a gift passed out at the event along with a Ford Motor Company program (featured in the next lot). The Babe Ruth signed ball was then safely locked away by Richard where it remained for the next 67 years until his death in 2014. It was rediscovered by his family and offered here for the first time. The ball itself is an official William Harridge American League Baseball signed by Ruth across the sweet spot in black fountain pen. The signature grades NRMT and contrasts exceptionally well against the cream colored ball which also grades NRMT. PSA has grade the ball a 7.5 overall for eye appeal. 126 - LARGE FORMAT 1950’S BABE RUTH BOWS OUT PHOTOGRAPH BY NAT FEIN(PSA/DNA). 14” x 11”. The Babe Bows Out. This shot of Ruth’s final appearance at Yankee Stadium ranks among the most famous sports photos in history. Photographed on June 13, 1948 by Nat Fein, it captures Ruth in his iconic #3 for the last time. The moving image won the Pulitzer Prize and is one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential images of all time. Image printed in the 1950’s has almost a 3-D effect with perfect focus on Babe Ruth. You can certainly tell that Fein really put effort into making this copy particularly nice. The image is signed in the lower left “To John Curry, Best Wishes Nat Fein”. The signature of Nat Fein itself is signed twice, like the first time it didn’t take very well. The image itself is beautiful with some foxing in the upper left corner in the margin and a very minor crease in the left corner margin to be accurate. Oversized image measures 11” x 14”. One would be hard pressed to find a nicer period copy. 127 - 1925-1926 GEORGE “BABE” RUTH PROFESSIONAL MODEL GAME USED BAT. Manufacturer: Hillericht & Bradsby Co. Model No.: R2. Labeling Period: 1925-1926. Length: 35” Weight: 39.5 oz. Wood: Ash. Finish: Standard. LOA: PSA. This Babe Ruth game used bat was used by the Bambino during the 1925 and 1926 seasons. While 1925 was not a momentous year, 1926 was an exceptional season for the Babe, who batted 47 home runs for a .372 overall batting average; losing the World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals. The PSA letter confirms the following information: This bat is either his No. 2 6-21-24 order of March 5th, 1925 or his No. 1 small model lightweight ordered on March 8th 1926. It is standard pre-war style sans model number on knob and the reference to model is based on the Louisville Slugger records. The ;26 records show two orders for bats weighting 36-39 oz. Player characteristics: the subject displays contact areas on right, left and back of barrel. In their opinion, the amount of grain swelling on left barrel indicates it was the primary contact area, which was a known trait of Babe Ruth game used bats, as he was known to approach the plate from the left side with the center label in the downward position. Comments: This bat has a branding flaw in the “125”, common during this era, which leaves a light impression. This 125 is all original as manufactured and there was no attempt to change a 40 into a 125. Conclusion: It is our opinion that the bat is authentic as described. This style of Babe Ruth bat, with its long slender profile and heavy weight are amongst the most desirable of all Babe Ruth styles and given the amount of use along with the flattened hitting area above the player name, this is pronounced to the point that a baseball will sit on this flat spot, makes them amongst the most sought after baseball relics. The size measures to a 42 although the tag reads 40. The black hat has a red sewn on block letter C and is stamped Spalding on the interior leather band. 129 - 1963 BALTIMORE ORIOLES COMPLETE UNIFORM. Perfect example of a 1963 Baltimore Orioles home uniform. The family had always thought this was Robin Roberts uniform as he wore 36 for most of his career. Unfortunately it is not as he wore #38 as a Baltimore Oriole. The uniform number has no record of being issued so I would classify it as extra. It is tagged correctly in the tail although the chain stitch swatch is loose at the bottom. Pants are also Wilson but the inside chain stitch is mostly gone. There is a pair of black leggings also present. Perfect for display EX-MT and clean. While the Braves resided in Milwaukee, there were four no hitters thrown with the first being by Jim Wilson in 1954. Wilson, who earlier in his career had has skull fractured by a Hank Greenberg line drive, stepped on the mound June 12 1954 and pitched a no-hitter. Offered is a ball from that game signed by Jim Wilson with many notations regarding the game and the broadcast. Warren Giles’ ball is toned from game use and is correct for the era. Powerized: C-15A/P9 straight orientation. Ted Williams, arguably one of the great ball players of all time and a National war hero, played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox from April 20th, 1939 to September 28th, 1960. Ted Williams first ordered this model in 1940, measuring 35” with weights from 32 to 36 ounces and using them through 1946. Another personal order was sent in 1955. During the 1950’s Hillerich & Bradsby Company began ordering 35” and 36” Ted Williams Model 01 to be sent directly to the ball club. This eliminated the need for Ted Williams to place any personal orders for this model as they were already in stock and obviously used by him through that era. By supplying the team with the commonly ordered bats of the team’s superstar, it required that Ted Williams only place personal orders for bats other than the 01 Model. This game-used Ted Williams bat exhibits light overall game use with a 4” closed handle crack. There is some green markings on knob. All factory stamps are perfect with beautiful finish. 132 - 1960 MICKEY MANTLE GAME USED H&B BAT. According to the shipping records, Mickey Mantle ordered six of these bats on April 1st, 1960 in anticipation for the opening game of the 1960 season at Boston on April 19th. It would take about that long for the bats to be produced and shipped so as to arrive in New York by the opening day train trip to Boston. The Yankees beat the Red Sox that day 8-4 with Mantle going 2 for 3. Mantle was an All Star in 1960 as well as runner up for the MVP to Roger Maris but it is the unforgettablef 1960 World Series that remains in most fans minds when reflecting on the 1960 season. Mantle has a sensational series in which he played in all seven games. He had a total of 25 at bats and drove in eight runs with his 10 hits and three home runs during that series while batting .400 average. This Mantle bat shows signs of heavy game use with marks on all sides of the bat. The factory stamps are strong. The box has eye popping graphics just like the Topps version. The type on the bottom has Topps licensing from Bubbles Inc. It also has an archive mark of “rec ‘65” on the bottom contradicting the 1966 issue date of PSA. Box is intact, all the pieces are original. There is a small paper loss to the top from an old piece of scotch tape (still attached on panel) and a few stray glue marks from being in an archive book. Box has been rebuilt to be displayed. LOT - 209 209 - 1966 MARS ATTACKS VENEZUELAN WRAPPER AND GUM. Extremely rare Venezuelan version of Mars Attacks, Marte Ataca. The set was slightly shorter (53 cards) and some of the text was rewritten from the original set. The Archive information has the box being received in 1965 while PSA has it as 1966. The Archive also lists the cards as being made by Bubbles Inc which was a division of Topps but there is no mention of it on any of the product. Group contains an original wrapper, the break down of the box card and the original silver foil wrapped piece of gum. LOT - 210 210 - 1966 MARS ATTACKS, MARTE ATACA NEAR SET 42/53. Straight from the archive book comes this extremely rare near set of Mars Attaca. The Venezuelan version of Mars Attacks depicts the same fantasy as its American counterpart with a couple less cards. Printed in Spanish, the stories vary slightly but the fantasy artwork by Wally Wood & Norm Saunders is what really sold these cards. PSA has only graded 56 of these cards total making them quite rare. There are 13 cards that PSA has not graded, 12 of them are included in this group. 225 - 1948 SWELL GUM BABE RUTH STORY POSTER NEW DISCOVERY. 15” x 17-1/2”. This outstanding poster portrays William Bendix in a Yankee uniform as “Babe Ruth” is likely the only known survivor. There are also five other images from the movie in a mustard yellow background. The center image shows Bendix with a Swell Bubble Gum display box, which to my knowledge would also be one of a kind. Poster measures 15” x 17-1/2” and has the typical fold lines. There are a couple of extremely small holes that we will mention for accuracy and grades technically in excellent condition but it appears much nicer.
