PRESENTS:

featuring The

Sunnywood Collection

Dear Friends, Welcome to Legend Rare Coin Auctions’ Regency Auction IX featuring The Sunnywood Collection, in conjunction with the PCGS Members Only Show. We are proud to present something that we feel is more than just an auction. We’ve dedicated this catalog and The Regency Auction IX itself to the greatness of coin collecting, the passion of collectors, and of course, the great coins offered here. We would like to thank our good friend and long time customer, Bob Simpson, for allowing Legend Rare Coin Auctions to sell his cherished Sunnywood/Simpson Collection of toned Morgan Dollars. It is with a heavy heart that Mr. Simpson decided to sell these magnificent coins. He has run out of room and changed his numismatic collecting focus. He believes these great coins should be in more deserving homes and it was at his request that we lot the duplicates after the main collection. He wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to buy a piece of The Sunnywood Collection! Of the 255 lots in our sale, the 131 Sunnywood/Simpson lots, duplicates included, comprise one of the greatest Morgan Dollar Collections ever assembled. Besides the spectacular colors, the quality of every coin is the finest available for the grade. The highlight of the collection is the famous $1 1893-S PCGS MS65 CAC Ex Eliasberg piece, which is the second finest known. We were fortunate to be good friends with the collector who originally built this magnificent collection, and as you will see later in the catalog, he was gracious enough to include his thoughts as well as an offering education about toned Morgans. The other 124 lots in the sale are hand picked pieces. We rejected many coins for this sale, enabling you to bid with total confidence. We expect aggressive bidding on many of the coins in this auction. You can bid online, via phone, proxy, or live in person during the sale. Please contact us to make arrangements no later than October 1st. While we are on location in Las Vegas, we can be reached on our cell: (732) 233-0719. Legend Rare Coin Auctions’ entire staff wishes to thank everyone who is participating in this amazing sale. We wish you the best of luck.

Warmest regards,

Julie Abrams LEGENDAUCTIONS.COM

PRINCIPALS Julie Abrams started in numismatics in 1986 when she joined up with Bernard Rome and launched Teletrade, the first computerized auction company. Teletrade developed a unique coin trading method, utilizing state-of-the-art digitized voice board technology to run live auctions before the advent of the internet. As President of Teletrade, Julie helped expand the company, increasing the frequency of auctions and expanding annual sales to $24 million within a few years. In 1999, GMAI, a publicly traded company, purchased Teletrade and Ms. Abrams became Executive Vice President of Sales for the parent company. Her job responsibilities included continuing her role as CEO for Teletrade as well as marketing to buyers and consignors, with the goal of maintaining a balance between inventory and sales while growing the business.

Julie Abrams President

In 2004 she joined Stacks-Bowers, an old world traditional auction house where she worked to expand their e-commerce presence, including the development of an online bidding platform for the firm. She also marketed Stacks’ programs to secure consignments from dealers and institutions such as banks, museums and universities. Julie is a member of the American Numismatic Association, the Central States Numismatic Association and Florida United Numismatists. Laura was raised in Highland Park, NJ. During high school, the coin bug hit her hard. Her trip to the 1976 NYC ANA left a lasting mark and huge desire for her to own and handle the greatest rarities. While attending Monmouth University, Laura attended coin shows more than classes. After college, she started LSS RCI, a wholesale coin company. In 1986, she realized the need for a “better” coin retailer and teamed up in 1986 with George Huang to form Legend Numismatics. In 1996 Bruce Morelan became a partner and since then Legend has exclusively built or assisted in assembling this generation’s greatest collections. In 2012 Laura saw the need for a smaller, boutique auction firm, and created Legend-Morphy with Dan Morphy, whom she split with in 2014. Today, Laura is also a leading consumer advocate for coins. The passion has never subsided, and she keeps a beautiful Proof Walker on her desk to this day.

Bruce started collecting coins when he was only six years old and by the time he was in high school his dream was to be a coin dealer. But life intervened and instead, Bruce went into business. By chance, he became Legend Numismatics’ financial backer in 1996. His great grandmother had given him three coins when he was young, one of which being a Trade Dollar, so he set out to build the finest Trade Dollar set. After a few years with ultra rarities, Bruce returned to his love of dollars and completed both a set of Gobrechts and a set of Seated Dollars. After selling those sets, Bruce recently returned to dollars with a new Gobrecht set and a spectacular early dollar set capped by his dream coin, the Amon Carter 1794 Dollar. Not many collectors can say they have completed not only the finest 1794-1885 Dollar Sets and have over the years owned such coins as two 1913 Liberty Head Nickels, an 1894-S Dime, 1876-CC Twenty Cent piece, 1827 Original and Restrike Quarters, 1838-O Half Dollar, two 1885 Trade Dollars and four 1884 Trade Dollars!

LOT - 1

LOT - 2

1 - 1C 1851 PCGS MS65RB CAC About 45% of the original Mint red is still visible on this high end piece. A strong luster shows off crisp, clean, smooth surfaces, free of any spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is terrific!

2 - 1C 1909-S VDB PCGS MS65RB CAC A refreshing, original gem! The smooth, problem free surfaces exhibit a strong luster that shows off faded Mint red/pale brown colors. There are no streaks or spots. Lincoln and all of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 75, NGC 56, CAC 15. The last to sell at auction brought $1,610.00 (Legend-Morphy 7/13). You will not be disappointed with this superb piece! PCGS # 1893. EST: $1,250.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

PCGS 804, NGC 427, CAC 154. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell at auction brought $2,700.00 (Heritage 4/14). That seems a bit low, since these wholesale for $3,000.00 on the bourse floor! PCGS # 2427. EST: $2,500.00-$2,750.00. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 3 3 - 1C 1912-D PCGS MS66RD CAC At first glance you’ll think this is a 2012, not a 1912! This coin looks like its fresh from the Mint. The luster is intense and both sides are loaded with an original gem Mint red, with no spots or detractions aside from a tiny toning dot on the obverse. Every detail is sharply struck and stands out nicely. The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 18, NGC 9, CAC 18. The last to sell at auction brought $9,200.00 (Heritage 6/11). We suspect that the Pop Reports are wrong and that this particular coin may be the culprit. If you are a very picky Lincoln Cent Collector, this coin is a must see! PCGS # 2455. EST: $8,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 4

LOT - 5

4 - 1C 1922 NO D STRONG REVERSE PCGS AU50 CAC An above average piece, but we can’t say we’ve seen many great examples of this date below MS63. This coin has pleasing, clean, surfaces that exhibit a deep, glossy luster and an original, deeper brown color. There are a few visible ticks on Lincoln, but all of the details are well struck. Most importantly, this coin is unaltered. Good luck! PCGS 114, NGC 29, CAC 12. The last of these to sell in a major auction brought $3,819.00 (Heritage 1/13). PCGS # 3285. EST: $3,000.00-$3,250.00. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

5 - 1C 1927-S PCGS MS64RD CAC This luster on this borderline gem is stunning. Clean surfaces show only a few flecks/pinpoint stains and original gem Mint red. Lincoln and the details are very well stuck. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 121, NGC 17, CAC 5. Don’t be fooled by the Pop Reports, there are not as easy to find as you may think! The last PCGS CAC piece to sell at auction brought $1,527.00 (Heritage 4/14). And keep in mind, a full gem red PCGS CAC piece would probably bring between $9,000.00-$10,000.00 if you could find one. Good luck! PCGS # 2584. EST: $1,750.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 6 6 - 2C 1864 LARGE MOTTO PCGS PR65RB The only issue that might be keeping this spectacular coin from PR66RB is some mint grease and die issues at 1:00 near the rims on the reverse. Both sides have deep, crystal clear, clean, boldly reflective mirrors that show off incredible, original electric red/green/violet/brown colors. Every detail is frosty and sharply struck. The eye appeal is awesome! PCGS 37, NGC 40. Only 100 were ever minted and the last PCGS piece to sell at auction brought $3,290.00 (Heritage 2/14), but this particular coin has been off the market since 2005. Good luck! PCGS # 3622. EST: $3,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve. LEGENDAUCTIONS.COM

LOT - 7 7 - 3CS 1861 PCGS PR66+ CAMEO CAC This is probably the third finest known 1861 3CS Proof Cameo in existence. This coin is more than worthy of its lofty designation! Deep, crystal clear, clean, powerfully reflective mirrors can be seen from across the room and both sides are a creamy white. Every detail is needle sharp and displays a strong frost. The eye appeal is fantastic! Only 1000 were minted but most were melted due to poor sales. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 2. Neither PR66+ CAMEO has ever been in auction, but a PR65 CAMEO recently sold for $11,162.00 (Heritage 8/13). If you’re building a top notch set, this is one of the few chances you’ll have to obtain a superb 1861 3CS Proof! L PCGS # 8371. EST: $10,000.00+.

8 - 3CS 1867 PCGS PR66 CAMEO CAC Having built the top three finest sets, our partners at Legend Numismatics certainly know 3CS proofs better than anyone and they agree that this coin is one high end, beautiful 1867. These don’t always come in such terrific condition, especially with this kind of deep, crystal clear, clean, and highly reflective mirrors. Sensational, original green/pale blue/gold colors swirl all over. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and has serious frost. The eye appeal is great!

LOT - 8

8

PCGS 10, NGC 10, CAC 9. Only 625 were minted and this coin is far nicer than your average PR66. Legend Numismatics was just offered the only PR66+ for $11,000.00 and that coin is identical the one offered here! PCGS # 83717. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 9

LOT - 10

3CS 1867 PCGS PR66+ CAMEO CAC This outstanding jewel has deep, crystal clear, clean, boldly reflective mirrors that beam from all over, as well as a delicate mix of original blue/pale gold that evenly covers the surfaces. Every detail is pinpoint sharp and has thick frost. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 13, NGC 10, CAC 10. Only 625 were ever minted and this is the only PR66+ CAMEO graded by PCGS in over 25 years of operation. Considering the last PCGS PR67 CAMEO to sell at auction brought $29,375.00 (Heritage 11/13) and the last PR66 CAMEO brought $4,406.00 (Heritage 4/14), this coin is quite valuable. This coin will make a great addition to any gem set! L PCGS # 83717. EST: $6,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

3CN 1876 PCGS MS66 CAC Overall, this high end coin is incredibly clean and smooth, with only one microscopic fleck behind the hair. A surprisingly strong luster shows off satiny surfaces and original soft pearl/pure nickel color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have razor sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 7, NGC 4, CAC 3. PCGS has graded none finer and the last to sell at auction brought $6,462.00 (Heritage 1/14). We doubt you’ll see many more offered! PCGS # 3744. EST: $6,000.00+.

LOT - 12

LOT - 11 3CN 1868 PCGS PR66 DCAMEO CAC You can see the marvelous ultra black and white contrast from across the room! Deep, crystal clear, super clean, and intensely reflective mirrors dominate all the surfaces and you can only see some minor planchet imperfections with a strong glass. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have crisp, full strikes. The eye appeal is awesome! PCGS 5, NGC 7, CAC 8. Only 600 were ever minted and PCGS has graded only 2 in PR66+, with none higher. The last PR66 DCAM to sell at auction brought $3,819.00 (Heritage 1/14). We think anything below $5,000.00 represents a tremendous value. PCGS # 93764. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

5C 1874 PCGS PR67 CAC This superb coin really glows, which is unusual for an earlier Shield Nickel Proof. The surfaces are sleek and super clean, enhanced by icy mirrors. Every detail is needle sharp and has light frost. The eye appeal is great! Only 700 were minted. PCGS 8, NGC 5, CAC 5. Auction records should a range of $5,200.0-$6,600.00 for really nice coins like this. If you are a Shield Nickel Proof collector, this is a great opportunity! PCGS # 3828. EST: $4,250.00+.

LOT - 13 13 - 5C 1907 PCGS MS66 CAC We’ve never seen a more lustrous 1907 5C! Satiny surfaces beam with a nearly blinding luster, and although there are a few, minor Mint made planchet issues, you need a strong glass to see them. A wonderful burst of bright gold beams from all over. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is incredible! PCGS 28, NGC 11, CAC 9. The last to sell in a major auction brought $1,528.00 (Heritage 7/14). These are very affordable! PCGS # 3868. EST: $1,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve. 14 - 5C 1883 NO CENTS PCGS PR67+ CAC After 25+ years of grading, this magnificent piece stands alone for 1883 No Cents Proof Nickels, which says a lot about their rarity! Extraordinary, semi-liquid deep, crystal clear, clean, highly reflective mirrors beam from all over and both sides have a light, even layer of natural gold. There are a few microscopic toning dots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous!

LOT - 14

10

PCGS 4, NGC 19, CAC 8. This piece is the finest graded 1883 No Cents Nickel and there are none graded higher that are CAC certified. This coin has never been sold at auction, but a regular PCGS PR67 CAC piece sold at auction for $6,900.00 (Heritage 4/14). We are pleased to own and offer this magnificent Nickel rarity. PCGS # 3878. EST: $7,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

15 - 5C 1902 PCGS PR67 The deep, clear, clean, reflective mirrors on this high end piece reveal only a stray light line or two, but no spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have razor sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 13, NGC 17. The last 1902 PCGS PR67 to sell at auction brought $1,200.00 (Heritage 7/14). PCGS # 3900. EST: $1,250.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 15

LOT - 16 16 - 5C 1915 PCGS PR67+ CAC This neat piece is the epitome of perfection for a Buffalo Nickel Proof. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and the eye appeal is outstanding! PCGS 51, NGC 34, CAC 21. PCGS has graded only six PR67+ and the last to sell brought $9,200.00 (Legend-Morphy 7/13). If you’re a picky collector and building a world class Buffalo Nickel Proof Set, look no further! You have to see this coin! L PCGS # 3992. EST: $8,500.00-$9,000.00. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

The surfaces on this high end piece are smooth and super clean, with a moderate luster that shows off even deeper golden brown/pale navy colors. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp and stand out nicely. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only one coin higher. The last time one crossed the auction block was was back in 2006, which realized $23,000.00. We expect enthusiastic bidding from today’s collectors. PCGS # 4314. EST: $22,500.00+ 18 - H10C 1846 PCGS AU53 CAC EX SIMPSON Before the Gardner sale, this coin was in the Simpson Seated Half Dime Collection, #1 on the PCGS Registry, but was replaced by the only known MS63. LOT - 23 23 - 10C 1943-S PCGS MS67FB CAC This is a wonderful piece with an intense luster and pure, white surfaces. There are no marks other than a scattered frost break or two. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 204, NGC 193, CAC 44. The last to sell at auction brought $851.00 (Heritage 7/13). REFLECTIONS ON THE SUNNYWOOD MORGAN DOLLARS Magnificent colorfully toned silver coins stand at the crossroads of history, art, and science. At times produced by the millions, at times melted by the millions, the ebb and flow of Morgan dollars also tell us of economics, politics, and the romance of great treasures locked up in bank vaults for decades on end. The unique history of Morgan dollars, with thousands of mint-sealed burlap bags stored undisturbed for many years, produced a unique class of gorgeous rainbow-toned coins, souvenirs and whispers of a bygone era. The passion for coins is something many of us first come to as children. I well remember sorting through pocket change for dates and mintmarks with my father, and putting the coins into Whitman albums. My grandmother gave me my first silver dollar, a polished lightly circulated piece that I thought quite grand. My mom had an old safe that she bought used for $20 back in the 1950’s. One day in 1969, I was rummaging around in her safe (probably without her permission), and found something all the way in the back corner between two shelves. It was an 1833 half cent. It was corroded, and porous, and dark, but I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a half cent. Neither did my parents. So we bought a “Redbook,” and so it began… I collected throughout my teen years, visiting a local coin shop in our town, making many trips to Stack’s with either parent, and a number of trips to coin shows. Eventually I let it go before college. One day, many years later, I was headed to a piano recital at Carnegie Hall, and passed by Stack’s. I decided to go in and ask about the coin market, where it had gone in the prior 20 years, and what was the state of the hobby today. One of the numismatists there was kind enough to give me a fair amount of time. I decided to start collecting again, and was almost immediately deeply caught up in the hobby. I set about collecting many things that I could never have hoped to afford as a boy. Among other passions, I completed a nice run of proof seated dollars. I started with a couple of generic PR64’s and then discovered cameo proofs, but it was the beautifully and colorfully toned gems that ultimately caught my eye. Over a period of years, with the help of such auctioned collections as Childs and Vermeule, I amassed a beautiful grouping of these impressive coins. From then on, I was convinced that original, undipped coins with captivating color and eye appeal were what I wanted. In silver, that meant naturally and colorfully toned coins with plenty of luster. There seemed to be no room in my collection for Morgan dollars. While I remembered my first Morgans fondly, the endless quantities of bright white Morgans at coin shows didn’t hold any allure for me. Then one day I stumbled across the website of Numismatic Enterprises, the online storefront of the late dealer Mike DeFalco. Mike had an inventory of rainbow-toned Morgans, along with eye-popping images (perhaps a bit enhanced, but extremely effective at showing off the colors) and absolutely passionate write-ups. Here was someone who just loved rainbow-toned Morgan dollars. I looked through his inventory, and thought it might be interesting to own a group of these coins. The pricing made no sense to me though … why were these coins asking ten times the prices of their untoned brethren? Pretty soon Mike and I were talking regularly on the phone, and I began buying some of his “monster toners.” It didn’t take me long to apply the same collecting passion and the same objectives to toned Morgans as I had so successfully applied to other series. I didn’t want ten different 1881-S Morgans, even if no two were alike and all were spectacularly toned. No, I wanted a complete set. I wanted the best combination of color and quality that I could find, and I wanted the color to be on the obverse, and all the coins in matching PCGS holders so that I could display the set to great effect. I started looking around at shows and auctions, and quickly discovered that you could find the most common 20 or 30 dates with color, but that’s it. A full set of Morgans is (97) coins, and more if you start adding in varieties. Would it ever be possible to complete a set with color? I asked around at shows. Some dealers said it was a terrible idea. Jack Lee told me that he hated toned Morgans because he couldn’t sell them. On another occasion, he told me that he hated toned Morgans because he couldn’t buy them. One dealer said, “you’ll overpay and get buried alive.” Several dealers said flat out, “It’s impossible. It can’t be done.” One surprising ray of hope came from none other than David Hall, whom I chatted with at a major show. David told me that he loved beautifully toned Morgans. This was a surprise, as he has a reputation, perhaps undeserved, for preferring “white” coins. He said a set would be a monumental project, and some dates would be extremely difficult. He advised that for those dates, I would have to settle for original coins with natural patina, and not expect colorful toning.

60

When I asked him what he would think if I actually built a complete set along those lines, he responded, “I would worship you.” That was enough to push me onwards. After owning a few classic banded rainbow bag-toned Morgan dollars, I began to wonder about the colors. One rainy Sunday I did a lot of research about the colors on coins. I learned the rainbows were the result of the thin-film interference phenomenon, in which two beams of light bounce of the coin - one from the upper surface of the toning layer, and one from the underlying silver. The two beams interfere with each other, selectively cancelling and reinforcing various wavelengths. The interference varies with the thickness of the toning layer, which governs how much the two beams are in phase or out-of-phase for each wavelength of visible light. That in turn interplays with the way our eye perceives color, with the retina having three “cone” type photoreceptors that respond differently to different wavelengths. I set up a mathematical model in a spreadsheet, and was able to derive and predict the sequence of colors that would be observed as the toning layers grows from zero. I was absolutely thrilled when my prediction matched exactly what I saw on my coins. This led me to publish the “Sunnywood Color Chart” (see below) to help collectors classify and understand colorful toning. As I continued building the set, it was always Mike DeFalco who was the most enthusiastic cheerleader. Through Mike (whose passion for great Italian food and great wine actually exceeded my own), I met other collectors of toned Morgan dollars, including Jack Kelly, whose “Toned Dollars” collection was the only really serious attempt to complete a set on the Registries. There were so many folks who took an interest in the project, and I was able to buy coins from some of them: Jack, Gregg Bingham, Dale Larsen, Jim Curtis, Ron Sirna, and many more. Little by little the set grew more complete, with some rare dates getting filled in by pedigreed original examples, such as the 1895-O ex Norweb, or the 1903-S ex Eliasberg. Predictably, it all came down to one coin needed to complete the set: the 1893-S. There were three well-known original examples: the Cornelius Vermeule coin, which had only relatively recently come to light in a 2001 Stack’s auction; the Norweb coin; and the Eliasberg coin. I loved the Vermeule coin, but didn’t have the … whatever it takes to buy a raw, never certified, toned superb gem ’93-S at its first ever auction appearance. That honor went to none other than Jack Lee, who bought it at the Vermeule sale – yes, the same famous Morgan specialist Jack Lee who had told me that he hated toned Morgans! The Norweb coin suffered an unfortunate twist of fate when it was ill-advisedly “conserved” (i.e. dipped), thus stripping the coin of its originality, its history, and its natural appearance. It did not dip well, in my view, and lost its status as one of the top three 1893-S Morgans in existence. That left the Eliasberg coin, which had not surfaced since the Bowers & Merena sale of that great collection. One day at a FUN show, I was walking up to the late, great David Akers’ table, and I spotted the coin at a distance. One close look and I knew exactly what it was, and that I had to have it. Dave quoted me a price, we shook hands, and I walked away with the coin. (I had apologized that I didn’t come prepared to spend that much, but I could send payment once back home. Akers graciously said, “No problem, just send me a check, I know who you are,” and gave me the coin.) And so the Sunnywood Toned Morgan Dollar Collection was completed. The only toned Morgan collector from whom I was never able to buy a coin was Bryan Sonnier. Mike DeFalco had clued me in to Bryan’s collection of GSA Morgans, and told me that Bryan had some incredible toned Carson City dollars. Mike singled out a trio of 1878-CC dollars, an emerald green 1880-CC, and two end-roll toners dated 1890-CC and 1891-CC. Over a period of years I lusted after those coins, communicating on and off with Bryan about them, but he was never ready to sell them to me. It wasn’t until right after I sold my entire Morgan collection to Legend Numismatics for their client Bob Simpson that Sonnier decided to sell his coins too. Fortunately Legend bought that collection as well, and on my advice put the three coins into my set that I had always wanted: the 1880-CC, 1890-CC and 1891-CC. The trio of ’78-CC coins stayed together, and those did not find their way into the set. The current owner Bob Simpson graciously offered to keep the Sunnywood name on the set, which thus became the Simpson-Sunnywood toned Morgan set. While I of course miss all of my coins, I had many hours of rewarding time collecting and studying them. It was a nice transition to sell the set intact to Mr. Simpson, as I might not have been ready to see it broken up at that time. However, I am really pleased that the coins will now be individually available at auction, so that a wider group of collectors can enjoy them. D.L.K. The Sunnywood Collection

FROM THE DESK OF LAURA SPERBER George and I were in Bob Simpson’s office when he leaned back in his chair and said: “I’m going to let you sell the Sunnywood Morgan set in your auction.” Stunned, I asked him if he was sure. His comment was that he didn’t feel these coins were being treated correctly, as there were simply too many coins for him to admire. After he bought a handful of monster Sonnier Coins, some of nicest toned dollars ever in existence, he said he was satisfied with his toned Morgan holdings and ready to part with the whole lot. Not since our purchase of the Jack Lee DMPL’s have we handled any group of dollars as special as the Sunnywood coins. We were simultaneously thrilled and sad that it was finally time to break up this amazing set. Mr. Simpson followed Sunnywood’s wishes and improved the collection where he could. For example, he added the incredible Sonnier 1880-CC, 1890-CC, and 1891-CC’s that had eluded Sunnywood in his quest to build the ultimate toned Morgan collection. When the Sunnywood collector first approached me to help him build a complete toned set of Morgans, I told him it could not be done. Of course a few years later I was eating crow as I was being shown not only the greatest complete toned Morgan collection, but also one of the finest quality Morgans collections ever assembled. My final gaffe was that I had an opportunity to purchase the 1893-S $1 before Sunnywood but I thought the price was too high. Needless to say, within minutes after I passed, Sunnywood showed me (with an ear to ear grin) his proud acquisition of the 93-S. Of course he made a tidy profit on the piece when he sold us the set! The dedication and passion of Sunnywood and Simpson combined to make this collection a truly great one. Sunnywood left no stone unturned in his quest for the best quality and best toned pieces. I am thankful to him that he allowed me to represent him in the acquisition pieces such as the 1880-S PCGS MS68, for which he paid a record price of $23,000.00 out of auction. Simpson had the same drive and refused to upgrade the set if a coin was not head and shoulders above what was already there. I challenged him about putting the 1893-CC PCGS MS63 in the set and removing the MS64, because the MS63 had the best rainbow toning I had ever seen on a 93-CC. He was firm on having the best quality in the set, so he kept the MS63 as a duplicate. I am also forever grateful to Mr. Simpson for being the caretaker of this magnificent collection for the last five years. I know he has enjoyed these coins as much as we have enjoyed having them in our possession these last several months. Long after this incredible collection is sold, it will always have a place in our hearts and memory, as it contains some of the greatest Morgans we have ever handled. The current strong interest in this set is a reward for the long time dedication of Sunnywood and Simpson. In my 35 years as a full time dealer, I can say I have never seen two more passionate collectors than the two builders of this once-in-a-lifetime collection. Every coin in this collection stands on its own merits and will be a superstar in its next home. I am honored to have been a part of the collection’s history and I congratulate Sunnywood for pressing on, even after my ill-fated prediction that this set couldn’t be done. His passion proved me so very wrong! I hope the new caretakers of these treasures will enjoy the coins as much as we did. Sincerely, Laura Sperber President & Partner, Legend Rare Coin Auctions & Legend Numismatics

124 - $1 1878 8TF PCGS MS66+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The popular Eight Tail Feathers variety marks the first adopted reverse for the new silver dollars of 1878. The design was later revised to seven tail feathers in accordance with Morgan’s original intent, although the even number eight is actually more accurate. (According to Hawk Mountain’s Research Center, most large birds of prey including the Bald Eagle have precisely 12 tail feathers, an even number.) This spectacular coin has some prooflike characteristics, exciting eye appeal, and PQ technical qualities high end for the assigned grade. The color spectrum and quality of this coin are truly memorable. Truly the ultimate in color and quality for an 8TF. PCGS # 7072. EST: $10,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

125 - $1 1878 7TF REV 78 PCGS MS65+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/ SIMPSON Very pretty classic rainbow bag toning highlighted by emerald hues graces this example of the 1878 dollar with the second adopted reverse, known to collectors as the “Reverse of ‘78”. This reverse design features Seven Tail Feathers, an ornithologically inaccurate account. The second reverse also features a flat to concave eagle’s breast, and parallel arrow feathers on the adjacent fletches. As noted in our introduction to this set, the “Basic Circulation Strikes” Registry Set excludes the three important hub varieties, one of which is the 1878 7TF Reverse of ‘79 (“third reverse”). A toned example of that issue may be found in our “With Varieties” Registry set. This is the first of many coins in the Sunnywood Collection to have been acquired from or through the late dealer Mike DeFalco. DeFalco knew both wild color and DMPLs, but he definitely knew that Sunnywood would never accept an average piece. We assure you, this 7TF beats the majority certified for the grade. PCGS # 7074. EST: $3,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

126 - $1 1878 7/8TF PCGS MS65+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Lovely album toning of orange, rose, pink, blue and teal graces the obverse, while the reverse remains essentially untoned. One-sided toning is often found on bag-toned and end-of-roll coins, as well as some album-toned pieces. Other types of album storage may result in two-sided toning, which is also the norm on envelope-toned coins. (It was once commonplace for coin collections to be stored in individual 2x2 paper envelopes.) ANR, LaBelle Sale (7/25/05:1339). You rarely see these with such pretty toning. You’ll marvel at both the tremendous color and quality this piece offers. PCGS # 7078. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

127 - $1 1878-CC PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The unusual patchwork of green and rose colors on this coin are likely the result of end-of-roll toning. This coin is the best of four examples of the date we have owned thus far, but we are always searching for the “perfect” example that marries technical quality with beautiful obverse color. In forming the Sunnywood Collection, we had the good fortune of being able to “cherrypick” four collections that had been formed over a period of many years preceding. This coin was from one of those collections. Legend Numismatics has seen several wildly toned 78-CC Morgans, including three Sonnier coins, and we would still rank this in the top 2% of all the colored 78-CC Morgan Dollars. PCGS # 7080. EST: $7,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

128 - $1 1878-S PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A beautifully and originally toned piece, this coin shows classic concentric album-toning on the reverse, while the obverse coloration is less symmetrical. This often happens in coin albums, as the reverse is safely nestled against the backing, while the obverse may be slightly more exposed to air flow. Notice the color intensifies along the upper perimeter of the obverse, signaling that there was slightly more exposure to ambient atmosphere there. The obverse is pretty, but the reverse is gorgeous! There are even traces of semi-prooflike mirrors on the reverse. The quality is truly breathtaking. PCGS # 7082. EST: $1,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

129 - $1 1879 PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON This is the most amazingly toned gem ‘79-P on the planet - and we have owned three of the best examples. The obverse features incredible thick rich emerald green, gold and rainbow bag toning. This kind of amazing color is virtually unheard-of on an 1879 P-mint, yet it is clearly 100% natural original bag toning. From the personal collection of dealer and long-time toned Morgan aficionado Jim Curtis, this coin was an unexpected treasure for Sunnywood to add to his collection. We paid a huge premium for this coin without batting an eyelash and it was clearly worth every penny! We unhesitating proclaim this as one of the greatest toned Morgans in existence! We expect ferocious bidding and possibly a record price for this jaw dropping coin! PCGS # 7084. EST: $15,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

130 - $1 1879-CC PCGS MS65 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON An important date that is rarely found with beautiful toning, this coin features a lovely rainbow of subtle yet distinctive pastel hues intensifying near the left obverse rim. Exceptional quality and eye appeal, and seemingly deserving of a higher grade. Easily among the very finest survivors of this key issue. Heritage, Dallas Signature Sale (12/10/04:1232); previously offered at ANR, Classics Sale Baltimore (3/10/04:1188). As you can see, this beautiful CC hasn’t been on the market for many years, though we sold a nicely toned example last year for $50,000.00! These are extremely rare with this kind of color and quality. PCGS # 7086. EST: $30,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

131 - $1 1879-O PCGS MS64 EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Not only is this the most exceptionally colored 1879-O that we have ever seen, but it is also superior in technical quality to the two PCGS MS65 examples that we have owned. In cases like this, we are willing to sacrifice registry ranking to include a superior coin, even if the slab grade is a point lower than our other candidates. We can’t remember seeing many beautifully toned 79-Os in the past few years, especially with this kind of high end quality. Opportunity knocks! PCGS # 7090. EST: $1,000.00+. 132 - $1 1879-S PCGS MS67 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A stellar superb gem classic banded rainbow toner. This type of toning is unique to Morgan dollars that were stored undisturbed for decades in bank vaults. The rainbow bands are a hallmark of natural toning, and also teach us volumes about the role of thin film deposition and refraction of light in creating colorful toning. The color progression that is plainly visible on a banded rainbow-toned coin is a roadmap to understanding and recognizing authentic natural toning. Ex Mike DeFalco (Numismatic Enterprises); Michael Page. The first sentence says it all. This coin is pure eye candy at every angle. PCGS # 7092. EST: $2,500.00+. A booming luster shows off a killer crescent of deep royal blue/magenta/ auburn, with traces of gold sprinkled all over. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. 134 - $1 1880 PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A date that is often found with blue and rose toning, here is an exceptionally clean envelope-toned example. In the progression of toning colors caused by the thin-film interference effect produced by the toning layer, the initial toning colors are light gold, medium gold, amber, russet, burgundy, cobalt blue, and pale cyan blue. Coins in the burgundy-to-blue portion of the progression exhibit the colors seen here. Ex Heritage, Long Beach Signature Sale (6/3/05:6747). Even without pretty, original color, this date and grade are still overlooked and typically don’t get the respect they deserve. Good luck finding another gem toned MS66! PCGS # 7096. EST: $2,500.00+. 135 - $1 1880-CC PCGS MS66+ CAC EX SONNIER/SIMPSON There’s no question that this piece is the greatest toned 1880-CC Morgan in existence! This monster borders on perfection and you can only see a few microscopic ticks with a strong glass. The surfaces are clean and smooth overall, while a vibrant luster shows off incredible shades of electric green/blue/violet that beam from the obverse. Sunnywood was never able to secure this coin while he was building this incredible collection, but after Legend Numismatics bought the famous Sonnier Collection, they placed this, along with the 90-CC and 91-CC in The Sunnywood Collection. If you’re a wild toned Morgan collector, you have to see this coin! We expect intense bidding on this coin! PCGS # 7100. EST: $15,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

137 - $1 1880-O PCGS MS64+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The first of an exceptional group of toned Morgan dollars purchased from the “Toned Dollars” Collection owned by our friend Jack Kelly, this coin is PQ for the MS64 grade, and has pleasant obverse toning coupled with a similarly good-looking reverse. (In the Sunnywood Collection, the requirement is obverse color, but we are always happy to acquire “two-sided” toners that also have nice color on the reverse.) This date becomes notoriously tough as one approaches gem quality. As far as we know, there are no attractively toned examples graded MS65 or higher, so a beautiful colorful PQ two-sided MS64 is the best that can be found. This is one of the only nicely toned 1880-Os we’ve ever seen! PCGS #7114. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

138 - $1 1880-S PCGS MS68 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON One of the highlights of Sunnywood’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” toned Morgan dollar collection; an extraordinary and record-setting example of an otherwise common date; this technically superb monster features an intensely toned obverse with blues, pinks, and true gold, miraculously paired with lustrous classic vertically banded rainbow toning on the reverse. The left-to-right toning progression on both sides corresponds perfectly directionally, indicating that the two-sided toning likely formed simultaneously during decades of Mint bag storage. The obverse occupies a narrower band of the color progression than the reverse, showing that the air flow characteristic across the surface was different for the two sides. Perhaps the reverse lay facing up in the Mint bag, but the coin was propped up at the rim, thus allowing limited air flow across the obverse as well. The coin had the exact same appearance when it was sold at auction in 1983, proving that the toning is highly stable and formed naturally over a long period. Ex RARCOA, Auction ‘83 (7/83:1182); held in one collection for 23 years; ANR, New York Connoisseur’s Collection Sale (3/14/06:1147). Legend Numismatics represented Sunnywood on this acquisition, and paid $23,000.00 in 2006. Even if you don’t plan to bid on this incredible coin, you simply have to see it. Good luck! PCGS # 7118. 139 - $1 1880/9-S PCGS MS65 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Album toning splashes over the obverse, while about one third of the reverse is covered by a rainbow crescent. The full booming luster on this problem free coin shows off original baby blue/gold/green/ orange/yellow. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and sharply struck. 140 - $1 1881 PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A beautiful, album toned piece from Sanders Trading Co. which was graded MS66* by NGC. We agree with the MS66 designation, and feel that PCGS and NGC were a bit conservative. The pewter toning break in the left obverse field is a hallmark of authenticity, and does not detract from the beauty of this piece. This coin has terrific quality, with no problems of any kind and a strong luster that really adds to the already dynamic eye appeal. This is another date you rarely ever see with any real color. 141 - $1 1881-CC PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A monster bag-toned example of this classic date from the GSA sales of Carson City Morgan dollars. This coin features beautiful, rich obverse toning, including an area of classic emerald green. We have never seen a more attractive ‘81-CC. Note the interesting ghost image of a piece of canvas thread under Miss Liberty’s chin and on her neck, caused by a thread from the Mint bag canvas fabric lying across the surface of the coin for decades while the coin toned. From the late Mike DeFalco (Numismatic Enterprises). This coin is superior to the majority of toned 81-CC Morgans you will ever see, plus, the quality borders on MS67. PCGS # 7126. EST: $3,500.00+. 142 - $1 1881-O PCGS MS65 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Truly a monster toned 1881-O, this PQ gem is the best of five colorful examples of this date that we have owned. By consensus, it is also the best ‘81-O any toned dollar specialist has ever seen. The obverse is blanketed with deep but attractive shades of deep magenta, purple, eggplant, deep blues and greens, and golds, such as could only have formed during decades of absolutely undisturbed storage in the original Mint bag. Ex Jack Kelly’s “Toned Dollars” collection. Jack called this coin “The Purple People-Eater” and it was one of his favorites, along with his 1921-P (now also part of the Sunnywood Collection). We paid record premiums to pry these prize coins away, but they were worth it! If you only buy the very best in toned Morgans, how do you pass up a date that you almost never see toned? Especially one nicknamed “The Purple People-Eater”? We expect this incredible piece to bring a phenomenal price. Good luck! PCGS # 7128. EST: $3,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

143 - $1 1881-S PCGS MS68+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Considered by some enthusiasts to be the ultimate finest toned Morgan known to the collecting community, this paradigm of perfection features rich vibrant banded rainbow toning over essentially flawless and highly lustrous surfaces. Called the “Sirna Moose (named after an ex owner) it starred solo in full-page color ad campaign by ANACS (when the coin was in an ANACS MS68 holder), and is also the centerpiece of a beautiful poster created for the Toned Coin Collectors Society. Although the 1881-S is arguably the most common date in the series both generally and with color, this specimen sits at the pinnacle of the many surviving examples, and is a highlight of The Sunnywood Collection. We have never seen any equal, in any date, including the Sonnier Collection. This coin is so loaded with color that PCGS has adopted it in the majority of its ads, banners, and fliers. In addition, it borders on MS69! Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to be able to auction this amazing gem and we hope the new owner will treasure this coin as much as Sunnywood and Bob Simpson have. We expect intense bidding on this coin, so good luck! PCGS # 7130. EST: $25,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

144 - $1 1882 PCGS MS66+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON It is surprisingly difficult to find an attractively toned ‘82-P dollar at the PCGS MS66 quality level, and examples appearing at auction have accordingly performed quite well. The coin in our duplicates set, for example, was purchased as an NGC MS66*, but downgraded to PCGS MS65 on crossover. The present example features beautiful bright blue peripheral album toning, with a nice classic target pattern on the obverse. This is the best toned ‘82-P we have seen, when considering both technical quality and color. From Stack’s, El Dorado Sale (5/14/09:549, $4025). This quality on this borderline MS67 is truly special, especially since full MS67s sell for at least $25,000.00. PCGS # 7132. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

145 - $1 1882-CC PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Classic rainbow bag toning graces the obverse of this Carson City dollar. Whereas album toned coins follow the thin-film interference color progression radially from the centers outwards, bag-toned Morgans often exhibit a somewhat linear trajectory of the color progression across the surface of the coin. In this case the lowest degree of toning occurs at about 9 o’clock on the obverse, and the colors progress thence left to right across the surface, moving from amber and burgundy tones, through the cyan and lemon yellow, and into magenta with a bit of blue-green at the extreme right perimeter. A bit of mottling in the toning, easily seen in the left field, is typical of GSA CC dollars. Most 1882-CC Morgans are lifeless and darkly colored, but this piece is truly something to behold! We would unhesitatingly rank this piece in the top 5% of all toned 1882-CC Morgans! PCGS # 7134. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

It was once dubbed “The Electric Rainbow Wonder Coin by former Morgan dollar specialist Michael Casper. Like the 1879-S, 1880-S and 1881-S dollars in the set, this spectacular coin is an exceptionally beautiful and technically superb example of what would otherwise be a common date San Francisco Morgan dollar. The 1883-P issue can be found with color, but more often one encounters album toning, or lesser rainbow bag toning. An example with full-blown banded rainbow toning like this is very difficult to find. The Sunnywood Collection has also included end-roll and album target-toned examples of this date. Ex Goldberg, Pre-Long Beach Sale (2/22/05:1878); Mike DeFalco; to Lloyd Cowle; to Sunnywood. This coin is mind boggling! Like many toned GSA coins, the luster is somewhat muted underneath the color, but the coin is unusually attractive nonetheless. With all the resources and time that Sunnywood put into building this great set, this was the best toned 1883-CC he could find. This coin will be a star in its next home! PCGS # 7144. 151 - $1 1883-O PCG MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Another monster rainbow bag-toner, this is absolutely the best toned 1883-O we have ever seen. This coin has an interesting toning patterns, and covers the “spectrum” (actually the thin-film interference toning progression) from a very lightly toned area at 7 o’clock on the obverse, through all the colors, to a rare and attractive glossy midnight color at the top of the obverse. Along the way, golds, reds, greens, blues and magentas are fully evident. A few streaks in the toning add character, but upon close inspection these are not abrasions to the coin’s excellent surfaces. A really compelling toned Morgan dollar. From the late Mike DeFalco (Numismatic Enterprises). Legend Numismatics owned a similar piece, which sold for a record $7,500.00, though we could see this toned gem selling for even more! Interestingly, under magnification one easily sees the “pull-away toning” extending radially outward from the stars and date; this is an additional hallmark of originality, as this phenomenon generally occurs only on toning that has taken a very long time to develop. Artificially toned coins generally do not exhibit pull-away toning. We examined this coin very closely and the quality is truly an MS65+! Plus, factor in the original, gorgeous color and you’ll quickly realize this is a very special gem 1883-S. The color is even, unlike many we have seen with horrible mottled toning. These colors would be unusual and attractive for any date, but are downright incredible for an 1884-P. From long-time toned Morgan dealer Mike De Falco. The overall appearance of this example is significantly prettier than the usual GSA examples, coupled with high gem-grade surfaces. For this reason, we have chosen to include this MS65 in our set even though higher-graded examples of the issue could easily be located. Amazing rich colors are splayed across the obverse, including the most desirable crimson and emerald colors. This is perhaps the most intensely toned coin in the collection. 156 - $1 1884-S PCGS MS64 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Here is a beautiful, original coin that easily reaches the upper end of the MS64 grade, with legitimate claims to gem status. The obverse has some prooflike characteristics; as is typical of originally toned coins with reflective surfaces, at the correct viewing angle the coin comes to life with gold and blue colors and some cameo contrast. Remarkably, PCGS was able to capture that “look” in the accompanying True View™ images. The reverse is fully gem with satiny luster, beautiful color and lovely eye appeal. This coin likely hails from important pedigreed collections of the past, but we have thus far been unable to establish a definitive provenance prior to the present decade. The relative rarities of Morgans changed so dramatically with the release of the Treasury hoards, that old auction appearances and provenances bear little fruit in this series. We wouldn’t bat an eye if this coin were in an MS64+ holder. Clearly PCGS showed no mercy on this extremely rare, near miss gem. The surfaces are exceptionally clean and smooth, while a full, booming luster enlivens the pretty, even colors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and extremely well struck. At first glance, you would think this is an 1881-S, not an 1884-S. Even if you only collect MS65s or higher, this high end piece would not be a step down! PCGS # 7156. EST: $125,000.00+. It is perhaps held back only by some typical weakness in the strike, in the vicinity of Miss Liberty’s ear. Ex Bob Brahms; Gary Adkins; Superior, Fort Lauderdale Elite Sale (1/11/05:778). This is probably the cleanest, sharpest toned 91-O we’ve ever seen. PCGS # 7208. EST: $6,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

182 - $1 1891-S PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON A flashy semi-prooflike coin with frosty devices, and peripheral toning that is highlighted by a patch of electric blue atop the obverse. This coin perhaps the least toned coin in our collection, with very bright untoned centers. As such, it is always a candidate for replacement (hard to believe he actually said this). The work of building the perfect toned set is never done!! Heritage, FUN Signature Sale (1/15/05:11566). The eye appeal is really cool, with just the right amount of color on the rims. 183 - $1 1892 PCGS MS65 EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The “P mint business strike Morgan dollars become progressively more difficult in gem beginning with the 1890, and culminating with the 1894. And of course, the 1895 simply does not even exist! Our first gem 1892 was a beautifully struck and lustrous example with some peripheral cobalt blue album toning. The present coin came along more recently, and offers much more dramatically colorful obverse toning at the same MS65 grade. We grade this coin a bit weaker technically than the first one (which may now be seen in our duplicates set), but the strong color led us to include it in the main set. Of course, we might change our minds and swap them back at any time! Heritage, 2009 FUN (1/9/09:4673). A beautifully colored coin, and a perfect fit for the Sunnywood Collection! PCGS # 7212. 184 - $1 1892-CC PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON This is a simply superb example of this tough late Carson City issue. Although bettered by just two MS67’s, this coin earns its celebrity status due to its stunning color. This was the first ‘92-CC to be graded PCGS MS66. In fact, it was the first to be graded above MS65 by any major grading service. The gorgeous and colorful toning graces both sides above highly lustrous and extremely clean surfaces and a solid strike. It was part of famed Morgan dealer Bill Spears’ “Greatest CC Set of All Time” and the PCGS Tour Set, a collection of the finest known Morgans that was displayed at coin shows during the 1990-1991 season (although it was replaced midstream in the Spears and Tour sets by one of the then newly graded white 67’s, and is therefore not plated in Highfill). Featured in the NFL Set, the Michael Casper Collection, and the Arno Collection, we are pleased to add this superstar ‘92-CC to the Sunnywood Collection. Heritage, FUN 2009 (1/9/09:5009). This is a mind boggling, high end, problem free, toned CC! You rarely see even, unbroken color patterns that shimmer in a coin’s full booming luster. If you’re picky when it comes to your CC Morgans, this coin will more than satisfy! PCGS # 7214. EST: $25,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

185 - $1 1892-O PCGS MS67 CAC EX ELIASBERG/SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The finest known 1892-O dollar; the Eliasberg specimen; the only ‘92-O graded MS67 by either service. The Sunnywood Collection is about balancing colorful toning with technical quality. While the MS64 in our duplicates set has marvelous colorful toning on both sides, and an excellent strike, we simply could not refuse the opportunity to include this original, subtly toned, single finest known specimen of the date. Creamy ivory “Eliasberg toning” is accented with russet and hints of sea-green and pale blue at the perimeters. This is one of “the group of six” (the branch Mint dollars of 1892 and 1893) that the elder Clapp acquired from well-heeled Philadelphia dealer J. Colvin Randall in early 1894. As such, we are happy to reunite this coin with the Clapp-Eliasberg 1893-S, also in our collection. As with all the coins in the group of six, the most plausible explanation for the extraordinary quality is that this may have been an early strike specimen carefully set aside for the Assay Commission. Ex J. Colvin Randall to J.M. Clapp in 1894; upon his passing, to his son J.H. Clapp in 1906; to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. as part of the Clapp estate purchase in 1942; to his son Richard A. Eliasberg upon the former’s passing in 1976; Bowers & Merena, The Eliasberg Collection (4/8/97:2289); Mike Gilley; the Arno Collection; Heritage, FUN Sale (1/9/09:5011); acquired privately by Sunnywood (4/28/09). This coin is the ultimate in quality, rarity, and pedigree! Even after over 25 years and millions of coins, this is still the finest graded by PCGS. Sunnywood was a stickler for quality, and this piece certainly belongs in his, or any great collection. PCGS # 7216. EST: $65,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

186 - $1 1892-S PCGS MS63 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Long respected as the little sister of the 1893-S Morgan, the ‘92-S is a very difficult and popular key date in uncirculated grades. Add to that our criterion of only accepting original undipped coins with attractive natural patination, and the date becomes a major stopper. Our favorite example of the date is the Eliasberg specimen, a PCGS MS67 which would be the natural companion to our ‘92-O and ‘93-S from that great cabinet; however, Sunnywood was outbid for that coin in a hotly contested auction room battle! Instead we opted for this beautiful MS63 specimen which has graced some of the finer Morgan sets of the last decade, including the Amherst Collection (which was also the source of our colorful 1901-P). This coin is remarkably free of abrasions, and would seemingly merit the next grade quite easily; we believe the original patina is the only factor holding the coin back, as it subdues the luster somewhat, but it will never be dipped on our watch. Ex Hans Poetsch; Heritage, Long Beach Signature Sale (9/27/02:7521, $40,250); Scottsville Collection; Heritage, Long Beach Signature Sale (9/11/04:8743, $54,050); Amherst Collection; Stack’s (11/13/07:2320, $86,250); Stack’s (2/26/08:2868, $83,950). We’ve seen many 1892-S Morgan Dollars, but this coin has always been a mystery to us. While it is technically an MS64, we think PCGS couldn’t get past the deeper toning. This coin is pretty, but PCGS tends to like a certain look for its Morgans. You’ll be amazed at how clean the surfaces are! We expect strong bidding on this classic date. PCGS # 7218. Although not quite as toned as an 80-S, this coin still is still lively and quite pretty. A full booming luster shows off clean surfaces save for a small mark or two. Lime green, azure and pale orange areas are highlighted by splashes of red, blue and orange. From the Bowers & Merena “Kingswood” Amador Sale (6/10/04:450). This is real quality represented here. This coin ranks as one of the prettier toned 93-CCs we’ve come across! The quality is really high end, and although there are a few light lines, there are no real ticks or problems to be found. 190 - $1 1893-S PCGS MS65 CAC EX ELIASBERG/SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to offer the second finest known 1893-S Morgan, the Eliasberg/Sunnywood/Simpson specimen. This is the beautiful Eliasberg specimen, plated in “The 100 Greatest U.S. Coins.” Believed to be one of a small handful of coins set aside for the Assay Commission, the Eliasberg 1893-S exhibits remarkably clean obverse fields and a flawless reverse, with only a few minor ticks on the portrait that prevent a full superb gem designation. The coin is highlighted by attractive light original toning over highly lustrous fields and a good strike. The provenance of this coin is uninterrupted since it left the Mint: ex Philadelphia dealer J. Colvin Randall, as part of a six-coin group comprising all of the branch mint Morgans of 1892 and 1893, which Randall likely obtained from the Assay Commission; to J.M. Clapp in 1894; upon his passing, to his son J.H. Clapp in 1906; to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. as part of the Clapp estate purchase in 1942; to his son Richard A. Eliasberg upon the former’s passing in 1976; Bowers & Merena, The Eliasberg Collection (4/8/97:2294); purchased by the Stellar Collection at the Eliasberg Sale; to the Sunnywood Collection privately in January 2008. This example is universally considered to be among the top three survivors of this famous key issue. While the Vermeule (PCGS MS67) and Norweb (NGC MS67) specimens carry higher slab grades, the Eliasberg coin is considered by many to be the most attractive example, also well ahead of the Amon Carter PCGS MS65 and all other MS65’s. Sadly, the Norweb coin, once considered the finest known, had been “conserved” and is now a dull NGC MS65. We haven’t been able to put this coin down from the day it arrived at our office. If you didn’t know this piece was an 1893-S, you’d think it were an 1882-S! The virtually pristine surfaces offer gorgeous, original colors, a full, booming, unbroken luster, and show traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. This coin will be a perfect fit in any gem Morgan Collection, plus, the pedigree is truly unmatched. No 1893-S PCGS MS65 Morgan has ever sold at auction. Good luck! PCGS # 7226. EST: $650,000.00+. The 1894 is a semi-key date that has always been highly respected by Morgan dollar specialists. Among P-mint business strikes, it is challenged only by the 1901, especially since the 1895-P business strike is a mythical beast, not believed to exist. This is a coin worthy of inclusion in the any gem set. You rarely see 1894s sparkle with such a strong, unbroken luster, and perfect toning. 194 - $1 1895-O PCGS MS65 CAC EX NORWEB/SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON We are thrilled to include this gem 1895-O dollar from the Norweb Collection in the Sunnywood set. The ‘95-O is a key date in the Morgan dollar series, and is notoriously difficult in higher mint state grades. It is the only date in the series that was not represented in any of the Treasury releases. No bags of 1895-O dollars were ever found in bank vault storage. Fewer than a dozen gems exist, and the real number may be smaller still. Of these, we know of only three that are still in undipped original condition, saved at or near the time of original issue: the present Norweb coin, the Eliasberg coin, and a deeply toned example from an original match-toned 1895-O Mint set owned by David Akers and later placed in Charles Lamborn’s fabulous “Fairfield Collection”. Happily, the Norweb coin features attractive toning, a good strike for the date, ample luster and great eye appeal. Purchased by Albert Fairchild Holden from J.W. Scott & Co., October 26, 1908, as part of a group of “O” mint dollars including the 1893-O, and 1895-O through 1898-O (J.W. Scott had apparently ordered each of these directly from the New Orleans Mint in the year of issue); to his daughter Emery May Holden Norweb; to her son R. Henry Norweb, Jr.; auctioned by Bowers & Merena, The Norweb Collection Part III (11/15/88:3892). Later part of the Michael Casper Collection; thence to the Arno Collection; Heritage, 2009 FUN (1/9/09:5037); to the Sunnywood Collection. This rarity is a true underdog, especially since you almost never see them in MS63 or higher. This lustrous and problem free piece has great color and eye appeal. in addition to a great pedigree. 195 - $1 1895-S PCGS MS64+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The 1895-S is a very difficult date with or without toning. We consider it to be underrated within the series. This is a nice original piece, and the most attractive toned example we have yet located in any grade. Heritage, Long Beach Signature Sale (2/26/05:10478). We would easily rank this in the top two percent for the grade! The surfaces not only emit a powerful luster, but they have strong traces of semi-prooflike mirrors, and while there are a few light striations, there are no bag marks. The present example is held back from the “choice” category due to a short gash on the cheek adjacent to Miss Liberty’s mouth. The obverse sports a bright collection of red, orange and yellow hues, with some areas of blues thrown in for good measure. An altogether attractive coin with a decent strike for the issue. We’ve never seen any other 96-O with real rainbow colors in any grade. Unusual for a 96-O, this coin also has a full, booming luster, closer to what you’d see on an S Mint. This particularly nice album toned example was a fortunate find in the early days of assembling the Sunnywood Collection. The colors are unusually intense and eye-catching. From David Morfey, a coin collector in British Columbia, Canada. You expect this kind of glowing orange/blue/green/gold color on an 80-S, not an 1897-P. 201 - $1 1897-S PCGS MS66+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON This is the third of a special trio of San Francisco coins that Sunnywood bought out of the ANR LaBelle Sale (7/25/05:1631), which were all property of the same consignor. Given the difficulty of finding these dates with multi-color toning (1889-S, 1890-S, 1897-S), one can only wonder what the story behind this consignment may have been. While these are Redfield dates, the toning is quite decidedly not Redfield toning, and the 1890-S and 1897-S appear to be end-rollers. Whatever the provenance, we were fortunate to pick up these three coins! This is the only rainbow toned 97-S we’ve ever seen. 211 - $1 1900-S PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON San Francisco Morgans are an interesting group. The early dates are common, and can be found with spectacular rainbow bag toning. The 1883-S and 1884-S are downright rare above choice uncirculated, and do not come with attractive toning. The 1885-S through 1891-S are somewhat better dates, and are difficult to find with nice color. The 1892-S and 1893-S are keys to the set, and are a great challenge with attractive original surfaces. The 1894-S, 1895-S and 1896-S are tough dates, and tough with color. From there on, the “S mints tend to come with unattractive toning. The 1900-S and 1901-S seem to be the toughest from a color standpoint. The original toning seen on this coin is about the best that can be hoped for on this issue. From Sanders Trading Company. We could easily see this high end, colorful piece in an MS66+ holder. With nearly flawless surfaces this coin is a must see! PCGS # 7270. EST: $3,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

212 - $1 1901 PCGS MS63+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Here is an excellent example of a Sunnywood coin. The 1901 is not only the scarcest Philadelphia Mint circulation strike in the series, but also the most notoriously poorly produced. In addition to bag marks, lackluster surfaces and a mediocre strike, most examples possess either dull unattractive toning or none at all. The Sunnywood specimen is a rare exception: a choice mint state example with attractive luster and truly beautiful color. The strike is only somewhat above average for the issue, but the overall package presents powerful eye appeal. It is hard to imagine a more suitable 1901 dollar for a collection of beautifully toned original high grade Morgans. We have seen a couple of lesser quality coins in MS64 holders. Besides being beautifully colored, this borderline MS64 piece is virtually perfect, with an unusually strong luster that only adds to the eye appeal. This is one of the only nicely toned 1901 Morgans we have ever seen. If you’re seeking a high end 1901, look no further! PCGS # 7272. EST: $22,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

213 - $1 1901-O PCGS MS66 EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The “O” mints from 1898 through 1902 are easier to find with nice colorful toning than their “S” mint (and perhaps even “P” mint) counterparts. This two-sided color coin was a lucky early find on Ebay back when we were starting the set. We have yet to locate a better toned example of the issue. From fellow collector Phil Tcheng. Yet another Sunnywood piece that borders sheer perfection! The surfaces are smooth and emit a decent luster, while both sides are bathed in olive/pale blue/rose/ violet toning. This high end piece is immensely impressive! PCGS # 7274. EST: $1,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

214 - $1 1901-S PCGS MS65 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON For reasons that we can only guess, the 1901-S dollar is an unheralded stopper in any collection of toned Morgan dollars. They just don’t seem to exist with attractive color - or for that matter, with any appreciable color other than non-descript gray or tan. A number of fellow toned dollar collectors have confirmed this. This attractive gem is about as nice an originally toned example as can be hoped for in a 1901-S. Interestingly, the same can be said of the other 1901-S silver coinage. The famous quarter is a case in point; most original toned examples feature generic streaky brownish-grey toning. It took us seven years to locate a suitable gem quality ‘01-S Morgan with acceptably attractive original color, although even this coin is no match for a rainbow-toned common date specimen. Still, one must always consider quality in the context of the specific date or issue. Some coins “just don’t come nice” or just don’t come nicely toned. This coin is flawless and anything but dull or drab. A decent luster shows off the rich golden brown/ lavender toning. We think this will be a great fit in any gem set. PCGS # 7276. EST: $4,000.00+. As with all the issues from 1898 through 1902, here again the “O mint is more readily found with beautiful color, but a coin as pretty as this one is nonetheless quite scarce. In our opinion, this coin has so much color it is one of the highlights of the collection. In addition to the killer colors, this coin has superior quality, with no negatives to be found. 217 - $1 1902-S PCGS MS67 CAC EX ELIASBERG/SUNNYWOOD/ SIMPSON Like many of the Eliasberg coins, this is quite likely the finest surviving example of the issue. Interestingly, it has been kept together with the Eliasberg 1903-S, its match-toned twin, for all but a couple of years since 1903. These coins have a different quality and appearance from most Morgans, as they were not stored in Mint bags for decades in the Treasury vaults. Rather, these coins were carefully preserved in famous collections immediately upon issue, and therefore exhibit absolutely original toning and surfaces, and a complete lack of bagmarks or other signs of handling. Purchased directly from the San Francisco Mint by J.M. Clapp, October 1902; to his son J.H. Clapp (1906); Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. (1942); to his son Richard A. Eliasberg (1976); Bowers & Merena, Eliasberg Sale (4/8/97:2318); Jack Lee; Andy Hansen; Heritage, Long Beach Signature Sale (6/1/01:6647); Michael Casper Collection; Arno Collection; Heritage, FUN (1/9/09:5065). Note: the line on the cheek is a feature of the toning only, and is not a scratch or abrasion. This could very well be the finest 1902-S ever graded. There are only three graded MS67 by PCGS.This coin is more than worthy of its lofty designation and you certainly can’t beat the pedigree! PCGS # 7282. EST: $40,000.00+. We were fortunate to have this beautiful original MS67 come to auction. As if it were not enough to have the attractive blue and rose obverse, the reverse offers truly beautiful shades of pink, green and gold, reminiscent of our 1921-D. From Heritage’s Portland, Oregon Signature Sale (3/27/04:6792) Save for a tiny tick or two on the eagle’s breast, this coin is remarkably clean, while a gem luster enlivens the multitude of colors. 219 - $1 1903-O PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The fabled 1903-O dollar was once considered the premier rarity of the Morgan dollars series, with virtually no examples known in mint state. However, in late 1962, the Treasury began releasing Morgan dollars that had been stored in its vaults for many decades. Among these was a significant number of 1903-O dollars - all in mint state! Essentially all known uncirculated examples stem from this 1962 release. Most, however, are untoned, and it is rare to find a lovely envelope or album toned piece such as this one, particularly in such high grade This is actually a very colorful paper toned piece. 220 - $1 1903-S PCGS MS67 CAC EX ELIASBERG/SUNNYWOOD/ SIMPSON The better half of a match-toned pair of original superb gem Eliasberg Morgans (along with the 1902-S in this set), this is just a spectacular representative of this extremely tough late date in the series, and it is considered the finest known survivor. A lovely light gold and blue toned specimen with outstanding underlying luster; it is almost impossible to find this quality and originality in a 1903-S. Fortunately, the Clapp-Eliasberg collection included many such coins carefully preserved at or near the time of original issue. If anything, the best of the Eliasberg Morgans are still underrated! Purchased directly from the San Francisco Mint by J.M. Clapp, October 1902; to his son J.H. Clapp (1906); Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. (1942); to his son Richard A. This piece is tied for the finest known with the piece in the Coronet Collection. Besides killer, original toning, this coin is the epitome of perfection! It’s not often you can buy a coin, especially a Morgan, with a lineage that can be traced all the way back to the Mint. In addition, this was the last PCGS piece to sell at auction, when it was purchased by Sunnywood for $86,250.00 (Heritage 1/09). Opportunity knocks! PCGS # 7288. EST: $80,000.00+. Despite years of subsequent searching, we have never located another 1904 dollar in 65 or better that is compelling enough to replace this example in our set. PQ and attractively toned, from collector Matt Johnson. Superb, glowing end roll colors dominate the obverse and you rarely ever see 1904-P’s with rich gold/ violet colors. 222 - $1 1904-O PCGS MS67 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON In the first decade of this series (1878 to 1887), many more silver dollars were coined than needed. Consequently, substantial numbers of 1000-coin bags were stored in Treasury and bank vaults, there to remain for decades to come. As a result, bag-toned coins are easy to find for many early dates. Not so for the later dates, with but a few exceptions. Two of those exceptions are the 1899-O and 1904-O dollars, which were also stored in large quantities. The 1904-O does appear regularly with attractive bag-toned color. However, it is a rare treat to find that kind of color lying atop the superb gem surfaces of a PCGS MS67. This superlative piece combines beautiful color with very high end surfaces, for a maximum of eye appeal. Another treasure from toned Morgan dealer the late Mike DeFalco. Yet another rainbow colored firecracker superb gem from the Sunnywood Collection. Absolutely gorgeous rainbow pink/emerald green/electric gold//pale blue colors swirl all over, and we can’t stress enough how incredible the technical quality of this coin is. 223 - $1 1904-S PCGS MS65 EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Yet another tough “S”-mint, the 1904-S dollar is considerably more difficult to locate in gem than is generally recognized. This example sports classic peripheral blue album toning. It is always a challenge to find technical quality and attractive color together on one coin. While this example is no match technically for the amazing duo of superb gem Eliasberg S-mints that precede it (1902-S and 1903-S), it is nonetheless the finest example with original undipped color that we have yet encountered. The superior surfaces on this high end piece are clean and satiny, while a full, booming luster shows off pretty, original blue/pale green/gold/ pale violet colors on the obverse and white/pale gold on the reverse. Every detail is pinpoint sharp and has delicate frost. It’s nearly impossible to find a gem 04-S these days! PCGS # 7294 EST: $10,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

224 - $1 1921 MORGAN PCGS MS65+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/ SIMPSON Most 1921 dollars are either untoned, or have mottled unattractive toning. One commonly seen feature on toned ‘21-P dollars is a distinctive form of “scratchiness” in the toning, a form of mottling undoubtedly related to some particular method of planchet preparation and treatment that was peculiar to the 1921 issue. It is quite uncommon to encounter a 1921-P dollar with attractive colorful toning, and which is also not scratchy or mottled in the toning quality. This example is possibly the best colored 1921-P known; none of the toned Morgan specialists has ever seen a more attractively toned example. Ex Jack Kelly to Sunnywood in 2006, as part of a group of prized coins from the “Toned Dollars” collection. Previously from Elliot Goldman, Allstate Coin Co. of Tucson, AZ; to toned dollar specialist Art Ricci (1988); to Jack Kelly (2003). 225 - $1 1921-D PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON While it’s Philadelphia and San Francisco counterparts are notoriously difficult to locate with anything other than ugly unattractive toning, the Denver issue of 1921 can be found nicely toned with suitable patience. No banded rainbow toned one has been seen in the marketplace for many years. This coin has particularly nice pink and green colors, such as are occasionally found on toned Morgans, combined with very nice surfaces. As most collectors know, all the issues of 1921 generally come heavily abraded and bag-marked, so a technically clean piece is always a pleasure. The surfaces are satiny and exceedingly clean, while a moderate luster shows off wonderful, original pale rose/green/blue/gold colors that swirl all over the obverse. The reverse is a creamy white with highlights of blue and gold. Miss Liberty and the details are about 98% struck. Her check is unaltered and the eye appeal is nice! PCGS 567, NGC 195, CAC 45. PCGS has graded 15 pieces in MS65+ and the last to sell at auction brought $4,994.00 (Heritage 2/14). This coin is exceptional in every respect and will command strong bidding. Good luck! PCGS # 7200. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

247 - $1 1891 PCGS MS65 CAC EX SIMPSON This phenomenal coin is more than just great color. Exceedingly clean, satiny surfaces, and a good luster enhances the pretty colors. Beautiful shades of original pale lime/blue/ pale tangerine cover both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and fully struck. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS # 7204. EST: $6,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

248 - $1 1891-CC PCGS MS65 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/ SIMPSON This was the original coin in The Sunnywood Collection until Legend Numismatics was able to acquire the Sonnier Collection. The coin that replaced this is a wildly colored MS64+, but take one look and you’ll see why this was selected first. It’s full MS65 quality, with just a few tiny scattered ticks. A strong luster shows off a beautiful mix of amber/violet/gold colors on the obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is superb! PCGS # 7206. EST: $4,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 249 249 - $1 1892-CC PCGS MS64 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON This amazing coin is probably not as well respected as it should be, simply because it is merely a duplicate of The Sunnywood Collection. Were it on its own, this stunner would be a must have. We think this coin is full MS64+ quality and could only find a few hidden ticks keeping it from MS65. The lustrous, semi-prooflike surfaces show identical electric blue/violet/gold/tangerine rings on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have stand out strikes. This is a multicolored masterpiece.PCGS # 7214. EST: $2,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

250 - $1 1893-CC PCGS MS63 CAC This may be the finest rainbow toned 1893-CC in existence, and was considered for inclusion in The Sunnywood Collection! While we’ve seen a few killer toned pieces, we’ve never seen anything that even approaches this. The surfaces on this high end piece are surprisingly clean and sleek, while a full, booming luster shows off traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The obverse rainbow colors are unbelievable, clearly a result of original bag toning. A fiery display of bold amber/gold/violet/blue/ pearl green explode on the obverse, while the reverse is pure white. In over 35 years we have never seen any 1893-CC with color even close to this. If you only buy the wildest colored Morgans, this coin is a must see. PCGS # 7222. EST: $12,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 251 251 - $1 1896 PCGS MS66+ CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Gorgeous end roll toning dominates the obverse of this high end gem, which is coupled with a bold luster and clean surfaces. The royal blue/pale lime/tangerine/pale violet obverse colors really stand out, while the reverse has a thin band of reddish gold by most of the rims. The eye appeal is spectacular! We expect strong bidding on this outstanding gem! PCGS # 7240. EST: $1,000.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 252 252 - $1 1898-O PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON Yet another fantastic end roll toned coin with just a few tiny, scattered, visible ticks. The luster is strong and the obverse is adorned by a wealth of original golden brown/violet/blue/pale purple colors. You can clearly see the paper folds in multiple areas. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out nicely. The eye appeal is extremely colorful! PCGS # 7254. EST: $1,250.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

LOT - 253 253 - $1 1900-O PCGS MS66 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON You rarely ever see 1900-O’s with the type of real color that this piece displays. This is a solid MS66, with only one or two tiny ticks that can be seen through a strong glass. Otherwise, the surfaces are extremely clean and lustrous. There is a coating of lime/gold/reddish gold/ blue/green colors on the obverse, and off white with hints of gold on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is awesome! Be prepared for aggressive bidding on this awesome gem! PCGS # 7266. EST: $1,250.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

254 - $1 1902-S PCGS MS64 CAC EX SUNNYWOOD/SIMPSON The coin in The Sunnywood Collection has some color, but as it is the Eliasberg PCGS MS67 example, was purchased more for its monster quality. A full, booming luster not only gives the eye appeal a psychedelic feel, but enhances the cleanliness of the surfaces, as well as the original, vivid pale violet/deep gold/blue/green colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out nicely. This coin is a color lover’s dream! PCGS # 7282. EST: $1,500.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.

The quality of the coin is amazing, and the obverse explodes with neon pearl green/blue/gold/amber colors which look almost like a kaleidoscope. What an eye popping gem! PCGS # 7292. EST: $1,250.00+. This coin is being sold with no reserve.
