MANNEQUIN INNOVATION

Morplan was one of the first companies to introduce biodegradable mannequins to the UK. These mannequins are made using a combination of sustainable and recyclable materials such as: Glucose Bio Resin, Raffia Paper, Rice Powder and water-based paints. Finished using a water-based clear lacquer for a gloss finish, a metal spigot which is made from 65% recycled metal and a stand made from 100% recycled glass. And it doesn’t stop there, packaged in a 100% recyclable box, printed using a water-based ink and the void filling paper and foams are all 100% recyclable. If required a cardboard pallet can also be arranged for shipping.

Unlike traditional mannequins which are made using fibre-glass which can take centuries to break down, these biodegradable mannequins will start to break down within the first 4 months of being landfilled!

This range of mannequins has become one of the biggest environmental achievements in retail for many years.
