VIEW FROM THE BLEAU OWNER NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2013
It has been wonderful seeing so many of you visit over the past few months and watching you and your families experience a beautiful summer here at Fontainebleau. We are excited to see several of you have plans to visit us in the near future, and we eagerly anticipate your arrival. The economic forecast calls for a very strong fourth quarter and the best year of owner revenue growth. For those of you participating in the rental program, I’m delighted to inform you, we will mark the highest revenue growth year-over-year for 2013. Our entire Team continues to focus on enhancing service levels and offerings, providing the highest level of customer service and commitment to luxury, to keep Fontainebleau the premier destination worldwide. With fall’s arrival, we continue our physical expansion with the announcement of our fourth signature restaurant, Michael Mina 74, the first concept of its kind created uniquely for the hotel by celebrated chef Michael Mina. The new restaurant will deliver a dynamic culinary and social destination that – even for Miami Beach – blurs the lines between a restaurant, bar and ultra-lounge. Read more about it in the “News from Fontainebleau” page of the newsletter. Be sure to check out the new and enhanced owner website at Fontainebleau.com/owners for all the latest information on owners benefits, owners reservation bookings, important forms and more. All the best,

THE NEW TRÉSOR LOBBY Fontainebleau is proud to announce the Trésor Lobby transformation is complete. Recently the lower lobby received two stunning pieces of art by artist Rob Wynne. Rob Wynne’s beautiful sculptures, reliefs, and installations are inspired by diverse sources such as art, philosophy, opera, poetry and nature. Using materials commonly associated with the “lower” art forms or craft such as glass, beads, embroidery and ceramics, Wynne raises these pedestrian materials to a “higher” realm of Fine Art as a vehicle for his conceptual practice. In Blue/Silver Exhale, clusters of different size drops are arranged like planetary systems within larger galaxies. It draws attention to the vertical direction of gravitational pull and evokes the idea of air bubbles floating to the surface of the water when one is submerged and exhales their breath. This ontological reference is rendered in sparkling, reflective glass as if it is the sunlight hitting the ocean water or sea glass found while walking on the sand. Aesthetic Movement Blue Vortex is a new series. The vortex shapes are like images of galaxy’s but are a reference to Jean Cocteau’s surrealist drawings and writings. We are transfixed and drawn into the center of the spiral of Yves Klein blue glass just as Narcissus was consumed with his own image reflected in the water.

DRINK YOUR WAY CLEAN AS FEATURED IN AMERICAN WAY MAGAZINE A spa should cater to your well-being inside and out. Lapis Spa takes this to heart with its new juice and tea based detox offerings. In addition to the complimentary lemon-infused water that most spas offer, Lapis indulges guests with other tasty variations including pineapple, blueberry and watermelon. “We encourage our guests to be lavish with consumption,” says Josie Feria, Director of Spa Operations. “Many of our water journeys involve water at high temperatures, which can be dehydrating, so we suggest you ingest quite a bit of water.” For a deeper cleansing experience, try a special detoxing tea blend containing natural ingredients from organically grown plants. “These teas reduce edema and cleanse the body. They complement our wrap and lymphatic-drainage treatments,” Feria explains. Our facility also features protein and electrolyte enhanced drinks to restore minerals and nutrients to the body. “We’re not only conscious of the benefits,” Feria says. “We are true and loyal to the concept of a spa being a place for rejuvenation.”

— Elizabeth Taylor The only thing to set our hearts aflutter and send us running toward the doors faster than fashion is jewelry. So, run, don’t walk, to this exciting opportunity to view the collections of three contemporary jewelry designers during The Shops at Fontainebleau holiday showcase happening December 4 through December 6, 2013. Meet and mingle with Jemma Wynne, John Brevard and Audrey Savransky as they debut their stunning designs. JEMMA WYNNE is versatile jewelry for women who desire a sophisticated look, while still maintaining a casual ease. Jenny & Stephanie define their design aesthetic as the “cashmere hoodie” of jewelry for women... rich, but comfortable. Using black and white diamonds, luscious tourmalines, sapphires, semi-precious stones, and vibrant chromatic color palettes combined with exquisite workmanship, their jewelry results in a collection that is elegantly classic and chic. Jemma Wynne jewelry is the perfect way to enjoy luxury without ever being overdone.
JOHN BREVARD is drawn by patterns and geometries found in nature, tribal art, oriental culture, and theoretical sciences. Brevard’s core design philosophy marries timeless elegance and bold, futuristic forms. His mission is to merge art, design, fashion, physics, and technology for an integrated new world. Brevard’s vision is based on sacred geometries with the use of gold, silver, and precious stones as his canvas. Expect to see jewelry that can be worn for any occasion.
AS29 BY AUDREY SAVRANSKY is fun and flirty diamond enhanced jewelry made to promote a women’s need to sparkle and shine. Savransky created the collection as a cure for diamond envy - as healing as medicine and as tempting as candy. Each brilliant piece is presented in a blush pink pillbox complete with instructions for dosage and method of administration. The pieces themselves are delicate, encouraging the wearer to indulge their feminine wiles. “The AS29 pieces are a fun gift but are also perfect for self administration,” reports Audrey Savransky. “Today’s woman is more than capable of looking after her own well-being and we all know that diamonds are an essential part of any balanced lifestyle!”
