Honorees and guests turned out recently for Orlando magazine’s event to celebrate its 50 Most Powerful People in Central Florida, 50 Most Powerful People in Central Florida, which were featured in the October 2021 issue. The reception was held at the Pop Up issue. ONTHETOWN RSVP Kids Beating Cancer Hats & Heroes Ball
This year, the popular event celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The gala has been instrumental in helping to fund pediatric cancer research to end childhood cancer. The evening featured a live performance by powerhouse entertainer, Idina Menzel, who voiced the character Elsa and sang “Let It Go” in Disney’s fi lm, Frozen. In addition to her performance, guests enjoyed gourmet cuisine, silent and live auctions, music, dancing and the presentation of the Healing Heroes of Excellence Awards. 1
