In May 2009 a cultural projectroom opened in one of “VM-bjerget`s” unused commercial units.Banko was created from the idea of transforming the raw and rough structure into a creative laboratory where anything is possible. This is a documentation of what happened the first two months.

Thomas Bostrøm “The Lost Word (Open Book)” The Lost Word (Open Book) is an installation of collected objects found on the beach of Omø. It consists of light, mirrors, text collages and books.Through a number of arrangements language is being materialized.
Students from the Danish Design School / Johan Carlsson “Filter� Students from the Danish Design School worked with wrapping poly ribbons to create 3D patterns through weaving and folding.
Groupshow “Where Have All The Rich People Gone Kiss The Crisis” curated by Morten Sørensen
Danish and international artists were invited to participate in an exhibition about wealth. Free to interpret the theme as they pleased, whether they wanted to make a statue of solid gold or a drawing on the back of a milk carton. Ole Vesterlund “Pretty Pots� In Ole Vesterlunds installation vases are used as sculptural objects.With arms and tongues that reach out to be occupied, the vases become a catalyst for the contact between man and nature.
Spacecomrades “Holiday Camp” The Spacecomrades invited the local citizens to join in a weekend of flying kites and sailing rafts.
