Email settings for Thunderbird with MTA-01 This guide describes how to set up Thunderbird (v38.2.0) with your Webnode email account. Before beginning set-up, please create an email account in the Webnode system. Please choose “Email accounts“ in the administration panel of your project.
Main settings: Incoming mail server (POP3): mta-01.webnode.com Incoming mail port: 995 (SSL connection) Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mta-01.webnode.com Outgoing mail port: 465 (SSL connection) Detailed instructions: 1) Start “Mozilla Thunderbird“ 2) In the main window choose “E-mail“ (1) 3) In the left–bottom corner click “Skip this and use my existing email“ 4) Fill “Email address“ with the email you created with Webnode 5) Enter he password for this email account 6) Click “Continue“ 7) Then click “Manual settings“
8) Fill information as below: a) Server hostname “mta-01.webnode.com“ (2) b) Port “995“ and “465“ (3) c) SSL “SSL/TLS“ (4) d) Authentication “Encrypted password“ (5) e) As Username put your Webnode email (6) 9) Click “Done“
Your email account is now set up. Copies of emails will be kept on server for 14 days by default. If you‘ve activated email forwarding, you will not receive any emails to this account.
