design studio 3 is

concentrated on conceptual design.

1

2

The site plan of this project is located in Babolsar which is a coastal city and the site plan is beside the Caspian Sea, Babolsar is mild and humid in terms of climate, this region

but this city benefit from pleasant north wind and south sun light.

DESIGN STUDIO 3 5

Caspian Sea Eco musum

The aim of this design studio is to design an Ecomuseum for Caspian Sea; Thus, not only different aspects

economy, and community), but the role of this geographical phenomenon (Caspian Sea) in this circumstances has been studied.

DESIGN PROCESS

9 Subsequently, some qualifications attributed to it, for instance: interactivity, vitality, motherness role, mercifully, and deepness. Due to feeding people by sea food and getting all of people together close to its coast line, the “motherness role qualification selected as the main concept to be inspirational for this design studio project. GROUND FLOOR PLAN

Therefore, some abstract drawings has been drawn to convey the sense of “motherness role” and “deepness”. Afterwards, they got shape, material, and one of them had finally formed. Among these shapes one Alternative has been selected as the base line for plan and further designing. Then the curve line has got the geometrical proportion.

phitheater that would conceivably make it easier for guests to find there.

11 First & second Floor spaces A big atmosphere after entrance has been defined as lobby. A suspended bridge crosses from the lobby’s wall to get to the first gallery. The idea suspension bridge has been designed to transfer the sense of under sea world. The third gallery placed above the lobby which is obvious from lobby by a void which also connect both of them to the sky, it placed due to tempt people to get to the gallery 3. Office zone is after the entrance at the right side to be easy to get there from inside and also from outside. Temporary gallery which has flexible function has its own entrance from outside, in addition it is accessible from lobby.

12

A gap between the surfaces under the galleries cause due to get the indirect light along the day because the direct light would damage the gallery's objects and also in caused because of the wind and air ventilation.

FINAL PROJECT Residential Complex (with 40 Residential Units) Semester 8 Instructer: Hadi Ghorbani, Vida Makani Score: 17 out of 20

In

this project 120 residential units need to be de-

signed, 40 units with detail and 80 other units just about staining their situation in the site plan. The site plan is located in Shiraz which has hot and dry climate and Some public services such as cafÊ, supermarket, kindergarten, children’s park, security office, and playground has been designated.

15

This site placed in Shiraz which is hot and dry in terms of climate; thus, some points has been considered such as orientation of this residential complex, place and dimension of openings in building surfaces, and the site is accessible by a 25 meter width road which is connected to a 45 meter width road. Main idea to design this complex came from 5×5 meter modular pattern which shaped the site plan and the residential complex, the number 5 meter is the distance between columns’ axis to axis.

GR0UND FLOOR

SECTIONS

16

In addition, the number 5×5 meter is suitable for functions such as parking’s criteria, stairs, elevator and it is also a suitable dimension to design residential units’ plan. By extending 5×5 meter modules, 3 building blocks has been designed in details with different areas ranging from 75 m² to 150 m², all 40 units are duplications of these 3 modules. The area of these three plans are 75m², 125m², 150m², that 16 units are 75m², 15 units are 125 m², and 9 unite are 150 m² ; therefore, the foundation of this building is 4425 m² and the occupation level of it is 1771 m².

UNITS

17

The advantage of design and build 5×5 meter modules pattern is expandability, more quality in designing for each unit due to more time that we spend to design it, and more equality in unit’s design quality, also in construction section it would be faster, easier, and less errors are expected.

EXPERIENCE & PROFESSIONAL WORKS kinetic shader ARCH(K)INETIC ARG Complex ARG furniture Manufactures

23

KINETIC SHADER 2016-17 After Archkinetic workshop, I tried develop one of alternatives that I made in workshop by paper sheet, in bigger scale, with different material, suitable for Buildings. So, first I made some alternatives with Wood sheet in different Thickness from 0.3 mm fiber to 16mm MDF, then to make it water resistant (rain & wetness), I Used aluminium composite, leaden hinges, steel cylinder and Bolts.

24

25

The actuator is a Wiper motor, it pulls the wire from the center of the surface and make it a flat surface ,but when the motor release the wire, 4 springs in each 4 sides roll the surface up. Steel joint is connected to the aluminium composite by 4 spherical joint and spherical joints are Bolted into 4 Diagonal steel cylinder, and steel cylinder is Passed through the hinges Center.

Component Development One of the most reliable reasons to select this alternative as a suitable pattern is about

The project “ARCHINETIC” is seeking for the adaptation and manipulation of contextual ornaments for structural performative surface tessellation in relation to adaptive kinetic building envelopes. This includes a variety of considerations from

to

physical and digital form-finding and material – form – structures relationship. The project includes series of workshops, lectures and tutorials as a part of the research based design. It aims to create an inventive collaborative environment proposing new approaches and methodologies.
