Le projet urbain propose deux dispositions d’îlots qui se déclinent tout au long du parcours et du port. Sur le site, les îlots se répondent au sein d’un groupe par un jeux de niveaux et un système de jardins privés situés en rez-de-chaussée. Un jardin privatif fait ainsi face à un bâtiment plus haut et permet effectivement de créer une transparence et un dialogue avec l’îlot tout en préservant l’intimité des coeurs collectifs. De surcroît, ces jardins privatifs permettent d’apporter de la végétation aux rues piétonnes tout en séquençant les îlots. De la même manière, les îlots bordant le parcours comportent en rez-de-chaussée des commerces et autres activités tertiaires. Une mixité des fonctions et des usages est ainsi rendue possible au sein du site. Un passage de l’îlot (collectif) au parcours (public) est aussi assuré à travers un espace de transition. En ce qui concerne le port, des halles industrielles sont reconverties en pavillons culturels, créant ainsi du port Edouard Herriot un parc culturel avec un futur centre culturel en son coeur. Des logements faisant écho à ceux situés sur le site bordent néanmoins l’avenue Chambaud de la Bruyère et se déclinent en logement individuel pour enfin s’ouvrir vers l’esplanade du port.

II. Housing The urban blocks of the district are made up of smaller closed blocks with private hearts separated by pedestrian walkways. Every block tends to ally the different types of housing: collective and intermediate. Apartments have access from the street and a shared space in the heart of the block, while town houses have access from their private space inside the large urban block.

III. Cultural center The project of the cultural center in the former port of Ă&#x2030;douard Herriot tends to fit into the site morphology through its form of a hall and its constructive logic. Nevertheless, it is strongly distinguished from other industrial constructions by its materiality of massive stone. The location of the building creates a relationship with the water through the west facade and with the park through the east facade. The structural stone columns are thus oriented to direct views and create perspectives on the water.

III. Mixed urban block The block chosen to develop a smaller-scale project is located in front of a linear park of the highway, near the metro station and the main street of the neighbourhood. The volumetric and typological composition of the block ensures a transition from the highway to the interior of the neighbourhood by gradation density and typologies.

Despite a complicated vicinity with the highway, the heart of the block forms a pleasant interior space. It is structured by the shared gardens sending back to the siteâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s memory and the valleys collecting rainwater. This interior landscape is occasionally perceptible from the linear park and enters into dialogue with the void created under the highway.

Une poutre moisée horizontale, encastrée dans la structure des deux poteaux, permet d’asseoir la stabilité du prototype. Les poteaux reposent sur des socles en bétons habituellement utilisés pour fixer les barrières Heras traditionnelles, avec un système permettant de rigidifier les différents blocs de bétons entre eux. De plus, afin d’éviter toute instabilité,des câbles, tendus tels des haubans, confirmeront la stabilité du portique ainsi réalisé.

Parking is assured by several parking pockets on Place de Jean Moulin and Chemin des Vosges. Nevertheless the drop-off of the students on the Rue des Prolières creates conflicts between pedestrians and cars. 49
