If you hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, you may become certified to teach grades 9-12 while earning this graduate degree. Complete this degree in the Joplin area by taking classes online and through web conferencing technology.

EARN YOUR GRADUATE DEGREE IN JOPLIN MAT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS • You should have a minimum of two years’ work experience in your field. If not, additional content and teaching methodology coursework may be required. • You must have an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 and a minimum GPA of 3.00 in the content area in which you will be teaching.

Students earn master’s degree at this point. * Not required to complete master’s degree. Middle school certification (5-9) in the following areas may be added to a (9-12) area by completing MID 725 and the MoCA #062: English, mathematics, sciences, social studies, and speech/theatre. This program is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).
