To apply to this program, you first must be admitted to Missouri State University.

Many employers require nurses to continue their education and obtain BSN degrees. Are you ready to take your nursing career to the next level? Strengthen your critical thinking skills to advance as a nurse with your BSN degree. With a BSN, you will gain knowledge in areas such as advanced health assessment, community healthcare, and leadership. Earn your BSN and prepare yourself for advanced roles in nursing.

2. Apply to the Missouri State BSN-C program: After being admitted to Missouri State, apply to the BSN-C through the NursingCAS system. You will need your Missouri State student identification number (called an M-number) to apply. nursingcas.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login.

PREPARE YOUR PATHWAY TO A SMOOTH TRANSITION If you graduated with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree and are a registered nurse, you will have fulfilled MSU’s general education requirements for completing a bachelor’s degree. If you graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree, and are a registered nurse, you may be required to complete additional general education classes. The School of Nursing provides an individual consultation with each student to individualize their program of study. Our advisors will assist you with formulating a degree pathway.

BSN-C classes are offered 100% online on a part-time or full-time basis with start dates in the spring and fall semesters. Nursing courses are 3 credit hours and offered in 8-week blocks.

A PATH TO GRADUATION

Your pathway to earning your BSN may be completed in three steps. Use the outline below and the checklist at right to determine your individual plan of study. Your clinical component can be done close to home. Coordinate with the School of Nursing to secure a clinical opportunity where you live.

STEP ONE • Complete an AA degree or Core 42; or ASN and MSU General Education requirements.

• Possess an unencumbered RN license.
