– Complete your associate’s degree. The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT degree), is recommended because it will satisfy many of the requirements for your bachelor’s degree and certification; however, you may join this program with any AA degree if the appropriate prerequisites are taken.

With our program, you can take all the classes you need to become a certified teacher without ever leaving the Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) campus. Classes are typically offered in the late afternoon and evening (outside of practicums and student teaching). Learn from veteran educators with years of practical classroom experience as well as scholars versed in the latest breakthroughs in research. Spend time in local school districts practicing what you’ve learned and emerge with the tools and confidence to become an outstanding educator. After successful completion of this program and passing content assessments, you will be certified to teach grades 1-6.
