Ways to Shift Your Weight Loss
calves, glutes or biceps, that probably means you’ve been lifting heavy objects such as free weights or doing reps on weight machines. If you feel crunching or popping when you move your body in certain ways, and you experience pain along with this, it may mean that you have a torn ligament or muscle. Any unexplained pain which seems to worsen rather than improve over time warrants a trip to your doctor.
Unusual symptoms.
Usually, if you discover a lump, bump, rashes, blemishes, eyes are tearing too much, stomach is bothering you in certain ways, nails are brittle, your losing your hair, you are seeing blurry, you get dizzy, you get headaches, feel nausea, along with other signals your body may give you... it means something is “off” or you are lacking specific vitamins and minerals. Unusual symptoms may point to something even more severe and critical… when in doubt, talk to your physician.
Whether your symptoms are severe or minimal, anytime you notice a difference in how your body works, it is best to reach out to your doctor to get checked out. It can be your general practitioner or a holistic doctor. Those doctors can refer you to specialists based on what they find.
Another way of keeping tabs on your body is to keep a daily journal of how you are feeling each day and how your body feels. Things can happen quickly and normally a doctor will ask “when did you notice it?” By keeping a journal you have a date of when you discovered your symptom(s) and can give your doctor accurate information.
Also, discuss what you find with your closest friend, partner, family member or whomever you trust the most. It can be frightening to experience new and unfamiliar symptoms and body changes. Having someone close to you to confide in while you are going through the steps, before any diagnosis, could be helpful to you.
The importance of awareness is self-care and reflecting on your body. Your body is a vessel. You want to take care of that vessel, so it is as strong as possible. The news you get from your doctor could be a minor fix needed, surgery needed or a diagnosis even more serious that needs a more long term care treatment. As long as you know, you can face it head on and with those who love you and support you.
