Make High School YOUR BEST YEARS! takes you there!
High School is a time for new beginnings… lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and invaluable opportunities. We believe that a school FOR GIRLS is better than a school WITH girls. We believe that academic excellence, leadership skills and confidence flourish best in an environment with a sole focus on empowering young women. A McAuley education is transformative. Our rigorous academics lay a strong foundation for our students, who go on to find great success and fulfillment in college and beyond.
“McAuley has faculty and staff that genuinely care about the students. There is always a teacher free, willing to help me solve a math problem that I was struggling with, or help me finalize my essay.”
- REESE, CLASS OF 2025
Our liberal arts curriculum encourages you to ask different questions, explore unfamiliar terrain and indulge your passion for discovery. We create an environment where our students can be leaders in and out of the classroom. They are encouraged to become self-motivated learners who are creative, empathetic and open-minded. As a Catholic school, founded by the Sisters of Mercy and rooted in the Mercy tradition, Mother McAuley is committed to fostering an environment that honors the dignity of every individual.
Graduates of girls’ schools are SIX TIMES more likely to consider majoring in MATH, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY and THREE TIMES more likely to consider ENGINEERING compared to girls who attended co-ed schools. The reference of this data is Women Graduates of Single-Sex and Coeducational High Schools: Differences in their Characteristics and the Transition to College. UCLA. 2009.
McAuley is a place that empowers girls to use their strong voices and leadership abilities to make a lasting difference in the world. McAuley girls see their potential as having no limits. McAuley students take center stage in the classroom, science lab, playing field and theatre.
of girls’ school students report that most of their classes challenge them to their 80 FULL ACADEMIC POTENTIAL
“McAuley is unique because you can spot a McAuley girl anywhere. At McAuley we learn how to be an independent young woman who is not held back. We learn and gain experiences that cannot be taught anywhere else.”
- LILY, CLASS OF 2026
Ministry is at the heart of our mission as a Catholic school and supports the spiritual development of our students. McAuley offers students a number of opportunities to follow in the footsteps of Catherine McAuley and examine their relationship with God, self and others, through discussion, reflection, service and prayer.
KAIROS RETREATS
McAuley students have inherited a great tradition and a great challenge: to preserve their faith and make it grow, to have the courage to live by the Catholic values they believe in, and to be educated women who will respond to the needs of others.
McAuley allows girls to explore their creativity and express themselves artistically.
Our state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and esteemed faculty provide the perfect environment for our girls to gain the confidence to star in our musicals, build sets for our productions, design our yearbook, decorate our hallways with original artwork, and fill our hearts with music.
640 STUDENTS TAKE A VISUAL ARTS OR PERFORMING ARTS CLASS
McAuley girls are actresses, musicians, singers, tech and stage crew members, costume designers, painters, photographers, sculptors, graphic designers, and much more.
“McAuley’s promotion of creativity and exploring the arts makes it particularly unique compared to other schools. As I walk along the hallways, I see the artwork of my fellow peers and admire their talents. As I pass D-wing, I hear the melodic voices of my peers and the stomps of their shoes as they coordinate their movements.”
