ACCESSORIZE TO PERFECTION

From the earliest days of our existence, style has been an important part of a gentleman’s life. It was once used to define our social status. Egyptian pharaohs wore leopard skins over their shoulders, Changshan’s were the fashion order of the day for the noblemen and officials of the Chinese Manchu Qing Dynasty, brightly colored garments (often with gold) were the go-to style for the Aztec upper class and the British Victorian era brought about short lounge jackets and wide leg trousers. Today, the suit and tie has become something of a universal standard code of dressing for the man on the rise and those already at the top, couple that with business casual and leisure wear to compliment your can-do attitude and you have one boss gentleman ready to take on the world with style. Now that you have a little international fashion history, I present to you our first bi-annual Style Guide, where we focus on the fall/winter fashion trends to get you through every day of the week. We’ll highlight, the latest hair, fragrance and skincare tips (including an interview with one of the co-founders and CEO of the men’s skincare line Brickell). And share with you our selections for the items you’ll want to have in your abode. So, don’t wait to feel a chill to refresh your look. As this marks the beginning of our sojourn through those fall/winter months, and you are cordially invited to join us in being the man of the hour.

It’s pretty safe to say that it can be somewhat difficult coming to terms with the fact that another summer has come to a close. It won’t be long now before we find ourselves packing up the beach gear and the festival looks in exchange for those necessary layering pieces to meet the impending wind chill of the upcoming fall/winter season. Fortunately, we can assure you that not all is lost, according to menswear designers around the globe. In fact, we’re pretty confident in saying that making the transition from short-sleeves (or no sleeves) to heavy-duty outerwear won’t be nearly as bad as you think. The upcoming seasons are shaping out to have everything you could ever want – from exciting standout pieces to noteworthy uses of color and texture. We’ve got the scoop on all the hottest trends for Fall/Winter 2015. Justin Tucker Style Editor

TRENDS

You don’t have to go very far to find inspiration for the recent shift in color trends. This season is expected to resemble a naturelover’s dream, as neutral tones favoring the Earth’s natural landscapes offer a nod to classic luxury. Let us just start by saying: you can expect to see all 50 shades of grey, and then some. It easily dominated runways in a plethora of styles, patterns and textures, exerting itself as a force to be reckoned with from sharp tailoring to street-inspired athleisure. Following close behind were selections of rather masculine hues of green (forest, military, hunter), beige (camel, clay, mushroom), and orange (rust, bronze, sandstone). Providing the perfect contrast and speaking to the growing androgynous movement were pops of bright blues, nautical yellows, berry reds, and even a strong showing of in-your-face pinks.

FORMAL/SUTING TRENDS Men’s suiting is getting some serious upgrades this coming season, offering modern approaches to fit, layering and color. In fact, it was the absence of color which made a strong standing among several top fashion houses. Despite the seemingly universal nature of black formalwear, dramatic gothic vibes and nods to classic periods set out to reclaim the non-color’s rightful place at the peak of the dinner hour. The dark, monochrome tailored look appeared to be a recurring theme within many collections, after receding from the mainstream several years ago. Updated classics including statement outerwear and turtlenecks are shaping to be the season’s go-to suit pairings, providing for a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere.

Typical Day: First thing’s first, if you haven’t already, it’s about time you look to invest in a modern, quality suit. Whether for work, a close friend’s wedding, or the next charity event, a well-made and beautifully-tailored suit will set you and your wardrobe on the path of success. The upcoming season’s dark, neutral suiting trend is perfect for most formal occasions. A great suggestion for a starter suit is the Monogram Blue Micro-Check Wool Suit by Banana Republic. Made of 100% wool and featuring a microcheck pattern in a deep blue husk hue, this suit offers a clean silhouette and will last for years with the proper care. The pieces are sold as separates at reasonable mid-market prices, with the jacket resting at $450 and the pants at $198. Skip out on the shirt & tie and add an extra warm layer like the Luxury Cotton Wool Turtle Neck Sweater, sold at Gant for $145. The soft, wool blend will be your go-to for both the office and for social affairs. If the classic shirt/tie combo is more your speed, then the Non-Iron Regent Fit Houndstooth Dress Shirt ($92) and Ditsy Floral Print Slim Tie ($60) from Brooks Brothers will do just fine. A leather belt like the Textured Reversible Belt by Kenneth Cole is an ideal way to keep the look sleek and sophisticated. No need to pay an arm and a leg, either; just an easy $35. Let’s round things off with the Tate Wedge Dress Shoe by Calvin Klein; priced at $198. When the weather becomes unbearably cold, simply throw on a heavy-duty jacket like the ASOS Parka Jacket right over your suit. For $126, it’s a great value and a good piece to have in preparation for another harsh winter.

BUSINESS CASUAL TRENDS Expanding your business casual wardrobe looks to be all about incorporating different fits, textures and patterns. To keep your casual look more refined, separates in suede, tweed and corduroy fabrics are guaranteed to do just the trick while temperatures decline. Don’t be afraid to mix things up, either. Brands such as Dunhill and Billy Reid had the right idea coupling relaxed knits with corduroy pieces, and utilizing more variations of checks, stripes and geometric prints than you could imagine. Looser, more relaxed fits might just be making a comeback as well. Inspiration from the 60s and 70s was evident, as collections paid homage to the rock n’ roll, punk/mod and Soul Train eras.

Typical Day: Playing with texture and patterns is what fall is all about. Suit Supply hit the nail on the head with the Havana burgundy check jacket in soft tweed. Tweed is undoubtedly one of the top fall fabrics, ensuring warmth and a classic preppy vibe. This piece retails for $399. Throw it over a chunky knit like the cable sweater from ASOS. Pairing a sweater under a blazer will surely keep you warm on your way to work and in the office. It is priced at $54. We never thought we’d ever actually endorse a pair of cargo pants; however, we have found a very special pair which has been reinterpreted into a wool trouser. We’re referring to the Russell cargo in graphite by Grayers, which currently sells for a mere $68. It’s probably the slimmest cargo pant we’ve seen to date, and while the side pockets are usually what scare us, the pockets on this trouser don’t seem at all unflattering. The light nappa leather bluchers by Massimo Dutti will have the entire office paying respects. Featuring an XL Extralight® glued rubber sole and priced at $150, your feet and your wallet will be very pleased. Round out the look with the contrasting color suede tote bag by Zara, for the price of $189.

CASUAL TRENDS It goes without saying that streetwear has absolutely had a major influence in the fashion world. Designers have definitely taken note, and collections have ramped up the design elements for an intriguingly cool aesthetic. If there’s one fabric that knows how to make a statement, it’s shearling, and this season you can expect to see a good amount of it. Paired with other noteworthy garments such as distressed/patchwork denim and patterned shirts, you’ll easily turn heads and find yourself on the home page of several street style blogs. In our fast-paced lives, functionality has become a necessity. The beauty and convenience of an oversized coat with detachable arms and large, spacious pockets speaks for itself.

Typical Day: Going all-out on a shearling coat definitely has the potential to put a serious hole in your bank account. A more affordable and still modern option is the golden bear shearling varsity jacket from Club Monaco. A wool-blend jacket with a touch of shearling around the collar means you’ll be warm any time of year. The $525 price tag doesn’t hurt too much either. A patterned shirt and distressed denim will take your look to the high streets, where every style enthusiast wants to be. The CPO exploded plaid button-down shirt ($54) from Urban Outfitters and Diesel’s Tepphar 0830K jean ($348) are exactly what we had in mind. The boot of the season is bound to be the ankle boot. Look no further than the $150 Gallus dress boots from Aldo. The last item you’ll need is a bag big enough to hold all of your travel essentials, for those weekend escapes. Try the Carson duffel bag from J. Crew Factory on for size for $78.

ACCESSORIES Clothes by themselves aren’t everything, you know. Though we may be currently experiencing a period highlighted by minimalism, it has always been suggested that we personalize our outfits with the right accessories. It pretty safe to say that “less is more” will definitely be a rule to live by this season when it comes to adding those finishing touches. Items such as shoes, jewelry, eyewear and bags have undergone similar transitions: overall designs have gotten simpler, which has resulted in increased attention to detail. Here’s what you should be looking for as far as add-ons go:

FOOTWEAR

From Top Left to Right: Simple Low-Top Sneakers (Agi & Sam), Classic Slip-Ons (Christopher Kane), Work Boots (Off-White), Thick Soled Lace-Ups (McQueen), Ankle Boots (Saint Laurent), Monk Straps (John Lobb)

Shoes: Casual shoes being presented on the runways such as sneakers and trainers don’t have all the bells and whistles which generally draw huge amounts of attention. This season, it’s the understated quality of classic slip-ons and low-top sneakers – with the occasional patterned pair - that’ll be doing all the talking. Dressier shoe styles have also undergone a more clean-cut approach, with the exception of chunkier soles. For those who do a lot of heavy lifting, or spend a lot of time hiking through treacherous terrain, a pair of work boots such as those offered by Red Wing or Eastland might be more suitable for you. The stylesavvy gentleman, however, should look to invest in a good pair of ankle boots in leather or suede.

JEWERLY If you’re still on the fence about wearing a lot of jewelry, this might make you feel a little better about it: You don’t really need a lot of it. This season is all about those simple, everyday pieces that you’ll soon feel uncomfortable going without. Everyday Watch $1350 (MVMT/Daniel Wellington), Cuff Bracelet $75 (Giles & Brother), Statement Rings $290 (Margiela)

EYEWEAR Eyewear: To be honest, you probably already have a good pair of sunglasses in your arsenal. If not, we suggest looking to past decades for inspiration. Classic styles like Clubmasters and those retro, thin metal-framed spectacles with tortoiseshell ear pieces are the way to go in 2015. Clubmaster $205 (Ray Ban), Modern Retro in Neutral Earth tones $365 (Marc Jacobs)

BAG Bags: Adding some new arm candy to your accessory game is a must this season, and briefcases aren’t necessarily the go-to options anymore. Sleek document folders, luxe backpacks and large totes have the capability of taking your look to the next level. There’s nothing emasculating about these man-bags. Document Folder/Portfolio $180 (Reiss), Backpack $698 (Coach), Tote $398 (Jack Spade), Weekender $395 (Hook + Albert)

Five Fall/Winter Style Questions With Saul Carrasco of Trend Styled What colors do you see yourself wearing a lot of this fall/winter? I’m definitely already gravitating towards the neutrals… browns, olives, and heavier chambrays. I try my best to not give in to the all black look – which is hard in NYC – so I always try to break up the darker colors by investing in some great lighter shade sweaters and flannels.

Are there any particular trends that stick out to you more than others this season (i.e. Minimalism, Statement Outerwear, Earth Tones)? Any trends that you are not particularly a fan of (i.e. Jogger Pants, Full-Printed Looks, Wide-Leg Pants)? As I mentioned above, definitely the Earth tones. There’s just something so cozy about lighter neutral shades. I do always invest in some great outerwear pieces too though. The last thing you want is to lose style points due to blizzard conditions so I always find some great pieces with down-filling for some extra warmth for the winter months but until then, a great leather jacket is a must. I just got a great biker leather jacket from Diesel Black Gold that I can’t wait to get into. The moto-trend always seems to be on trend no matter the season.

The only thing I can’t get into is drop-crotch anything… I don’t understand it. It doesn’t look good on me. I avoid it all times! What are your top 3 pieces that you think every man should be looking to invest in this fall/winter? Definitely a great coat that is transitional for both dressed up and dressed down looks. A good topcoat will last forever and will always be in style so invest in a great one with Thinsulate – a fiber thermal insulation that is super thin but definitely keeps you warm… A solid leather jacket. Invest in some good leather here. It might be a price shock at first, but good leather will last and will only look better with time. Think more biker/bomber style and less Dad’s old leather from the 80’s… Cashmere! As much as you can get your hands on. A good cable-knit cashmere sweater is classic but there’s so much more in the cashmere department you’re missing out on to keep warm. Just about my favorite thing about colder months is cashmere socks! They’re a life-changer!!

Where do you think you’ll be looking to find style inspiration next season? (Specific people/icons, films/television, street style) Easily the streets of NYC. It is my daily inspiration and sometimes validation in what I’m into. You encounter just about every kind of style in NYC so it’s great to see what other people in your city are into. We’re all influenced by our surroundings and no matter where you travel, it’s easy to spot the locals over the tourists. Especially in NYC.

‘Gender Neutral’ pieces were showcased by a number of major designers and fashion houses this season – from J.W. Anderson and Rick Owens to Raf Simmons and Gucci. What kind of effect do you think the embrace of gender-fluid fashion will have on the menswear industry as a whole? I feel like this has always been the case. Men’s style has quickly involved into a massive market due to the fact that men are more willing to invest time and money into their daily looks. Gender-fluid fashion make a major impact on men’s fashion… everything from skinny jeans to leather bags, gender-fluid pieces are play a major role in menswear.

HAIR We have to admit, 2015 has already made its claim as being a big year for men’s hair. New styles have been popping up left and right among all hair textures this year. One commonality that we’ve noticed among men thus far is that, shorter seems to be better. Not only are shorter styles easier to achieve, but they’re also easier to manage.

Straight: From buzz cuts to the timeless, statement quiff, varying lengths hedging towards shorter sides and longer on top have dominated the year. These methods have been most effective for taming thick hair. American Crew’s defining paste $17 is great for adding style and definition to your short to mid-length hairstyles.

Loose: Designers including Alexandre Mattiussi of Ami and Matthew Miller were all about the textured look. Long and somewhat loose hair on top was styled to fall forward onto the face, while the sides and back of the head were left slightly shorter. A similar look can be achieved by applying Aveda’s pure-formance firm hold gel $24 to damp hair.

Kinky: Men with kinky hair have seen a plethora of trends throughout the years, from Jerry curls to flat-tops. 2015 has been a year of experimentation, as many of these styles have seemingly been revived. Probably the two mostrecognized styles currently include numerous variations of the fade as well as tight locks. In line with the ongoing natural trend, alcohol-free products containing oil extracts are good for providing moisture to the hair and scalp. Cantu shea butter hair pomade $3 will do the job.

HAIR

East Asian: Slicked-back hair appeared to be a favorite among the designers of Casely-Hayford and Todd Snyder. Characterized by a dramatic high shine and smooth finish for runway presentations, this look can be appropriate for real life if toned down. Baxter of California’s soft water pomade is a great option for a muted down slick and shine.

SKINCARE A lot of men appear to be much more proactive when it comes to taking care of their skin these days, and we’re very happy to see it. The days of using just body wash and shaving cream are long gone. From face washes to beard oils and fragrances, it’s important to keep your body feeling fresh and hydrated year-round. The following products will make great additions to your skin care regiments this season.

Oily: Clinique For Men’s Great Skin to Go package will leave you with that rejuvenated feeling anytime, anywhere. The package contains an oil control face wash & mattifying moisturizer, a face scrub and anti-aging cream. The customized process of cleansing, hydrating and reviving will do wonders for normal to oily skin types. The $36 set comes in perfect travel sizes, ensuring that you can revitalize your skin at any time of the day.

Dry: The Dove Men + Care Ultra Hydrating Cream will leave your skin feeling smooth and moisturized for a complete 24 hours. An advanced formula containing vitamin B3 fights dryness and absorbs quickly. It can be purchased at a Target near you for about $8. Go ahead and do your dry skin a favor by adding this product to your morning routine.

Combination: All the way from the UK is a leading beauty and lifestyle brand known as Cowshed. Stemming from the brand is a collection of men’s grooming products referred to as Neville - which features modern, natural ingredients including its Face Reviver. Containing Vitamins A and E, this face reviver acts as a high- defense, non-greasy skin shield. It works wonders for all skin types, and costs around $42. Together, Neville products constitute one of the best grooming rituals you could have.

SKINCARE TIPS WITH JOSH MEYER OF BRICKELL As men, it’s important that we start each day off on the right foot. Utilizing an effective grooming regiment is a perfect way to do just that. As we prepare to get off to a fresh start every morning, one thing that has begun to really sink into the minds of modern men is the type of products being used. Over the last few years, there has been an evident spike in the range of grooming brands and products for men. One brand in particular, known as Brickell, has climbed the rankings rather quickly, having established itself as one of the leaders in high performing, natural skincare & grooming products for men. Josh Meyer is one of the co-founders and CEO of the now wellknown company. Along with his business partner, Matt, the two set out to offer the most effective products using the highest quality, natural & organic ingredients. Man Of The Hour had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Meyer not only on his brand, but on the growing nature of the men’s grooming market. It seems as though there is an increased awareness among men of the importance of finding the right products for their bodies. Would you say that’s true? Oh, absolutely. The market for men’s grooming is growing, for sure. Most guys are starting to pay more attention to what’s out there, and what works for them. They know more about things like the right oils for their beards, and what moisturizers to use on their faces. There has also been a rise in barbershops and grooming shops or lounges for men. They can go get their haircut and their beards trimmed, and hear about other products for shaving or skin care. It’s always been the women who talk to each other about what products work best for them; guys have never really had those conversations, but it looks like they are starting too.

I was actually introduced to your brand through a few men’s style bloggers whom I follow, and I got a chance to try out your Daily Essential Face Moisturizer through a subscription I had with SprezzaBox. To be honest I loved using it, and I’ve started using a few other products from you guys. From what I understand the brand is still fairly new. When exactly did the brand launch? That’s awesome. We launched in January 2014. Things started off pretty slow because no one really knew who we were. It definitely took some time for people to get familiar with us, and eventually more and more people started buying our products. After a few months things really started to pick up. We started getting featured in magazines and we’ve just been meeting different people who help to get our name out there. Our products are now sold through our website at www.brickellmensproducts.com as well as a number of independent retailers across the United States.

I’m a pretty young guy, but I do know that once upon a time you had to actually go to the store and read through just about every label before deciding on a product. Now we have the Internet which harbors so many ecommerce brands, which obviously makes the search a little easier. What kind of effect do you think that has had on the beauty/grooming industry as a whole? I think it’s made the industry a little healthier as a whole. Certain products get hammered for their terrible ingredients, and so companies have been forced to make formulations a little greener. I think it’s also made the grooming industry grow exponentially, as guys tend to feel more comfortable shopping for grooming products online vs. in stores. They can take their time to learn about the products and ingredients, and also try products without anyone ever knowing.

SKINCARE TIPS WITH JOSH MEYER OF BRICKELL

Would you say that there was a specific need that you were looking to fill when you decided to start the brand? One thing we started to notice was that, aside from not being able to find a space dedicated specifically to men’s skin care, a lot of the top products that men were using have tons of chemicals in them. We used to buy our products from the grocery and convenience stores just like most men do. But once we really started to learn about all of the toxic ingredients that were in them, we figured that we could attract a lot of guys with natural products. Our products are healthier than a lot of other brands, and we knew that men would feel better when they use them.

Who are some of your competitors, by the way? I wouldn’t necessarily say we’re really competing, but some of the other big brands are the ones like Anthony; and I’m sure you’ve heard of Jack Black and Baxter of California. Beard Brand is one of if not the biggest companies specializing in beard care. A lot more guys have been growing out their beards, lately.

I mentioned earlier how I became familiar with your brand through various social media accounts of well-known style bloggers, as well as retailers and publications which either carried or marketed Brickell products. How important has building those relationships with industry professionals and influencers been in the growth of the brand? It’s probably the most critical component to our growth besides making relationships with media outlets. Working with companies like SprezzaBox has been huge because our products are being discovered next to style products, which men are comfortable sharing. If a guy is willing to spend money on a nice jacket or suit, he’s also the type of guy who is willing to spend more on a premium grooming or skincare product.

SKINCARE TIPS WITH JOSH MEYER OF BRICKELL

We both expressed spending a good portion of our lives in the same daily routine when it came to our grooming practices, and the initial hesitancy experienced before deciding to try out different things. I’m pretty sure there are a number of guys out there who might be in the same predicament, where they aren’t necessarily getting the results they would like, and simply aren’t sure where to start. With the growing number of brands & products specific to men, are there any suggestions you might offer to any of those guys on how they might go about enhancing their skin care regiments, as they may not be sure of where to go or what to look for? Learn your skin type and start with the basics – A face wash and a face moisturizer. It’s simple and doesn’t take much thought. Use them in the morning and at night. We push our routines a lot. By using just those two products, a guy will solve 98% of his skincare problems. Once he gets a handle on those, he’ll get a better sense of what other types of products could help with. For example, he might start wanting to target the puffiness under his eyes, so he tries our eye balm.

Can you offer some specific products that you guys sell that men should be looking to incorporate into their grooming practices for this Fall/Winter season? Maybe some things that works for different skin types? Yeah I can. For starters, we have a Purifying Charcoal Face Wash which is great for guys with dry, sensitive skin. It actually has real charcoal in it, which is good for cleaning pores. The vitamins in it are what leaves you feeling moisturized. Guys with oily skin should try our Clarifying Gel, which soaks up a lot of the oils and gets rid of the dirt on your face. We also have the Daily Essential Face Moisturizer that you mentioned earlier. It’s great for hydrating and healing, and it also protects your face. It has a lot of natural ingredients in it like Aloe Vera, Shea Butter and plenty of vitamins. What I love about this one, though, is that you can use it on your beard too, along with our Renewing Face Scrub. The scrub has been one of our favorites for bearded guys because it softens your facial hair. A lot guys walk around with these stiff beards that just feel uncomfortable. We get a lot of women who end up buying it for their husbands as gifts, actually. They’re really the ones who understand the importance of a soft beard. For the cold weather, we have some Maximum Strength Hand Balm. We’re based in Miami, so it doesn’t get all that cold. But further north where the winters can be pretty brutal, it’s great for repairing dry and cracked skin. We also have the No Shine Lip Balm.

How often do you guys work on developing new products? Can you possibly give a short explanation of what the research & development process might entail? We work on new products as we see demand. Typically, we are formulating 1-2 new products every month. In short, we decide what product and then go to our manufacturers and tell them how we want it to perform. They give us parameters based upon the types of ingredients we want to use and how it will look and feel, and we have them make us a handful of variations. We then test the sample variations with friends, family members, and customers. The winning variation gets launched in “beta” mode, meaning we only create a small batch to see how the broader market likes it. If it’s a hit, we go full production. If not, we use feedback to improve the formula. You can’t please everyone, though, and at some point have to be OK with some people not liking the product. It is a personal care product after all, and everyone has their own personal definition of what works and what doesn’t for them.

FRAGERENCE With autumn on the horizon, it’s about time we start getting our seasonal fragrances in order. If you were thinking that you could get away with just that one bottle of everyday cologne for the entire year, we suggest you think again. That’s right – alternating fragrances is just as important as swapping out lighter garments for heavier ones when the temperatures change. You might be asking yourself, “What’s the big deal? As long as I smell good I should be fine, right?” Well, the fact of the matter is that each cologne not only has a specific scent, but also serves a designated purpose. Spring/Summer scents, for instance, seek to leave you feeling fresh and revitalized. On the contrary, Fall/Winter fragrances are typically made to wrap themselves around you as a warm barrier in the colder weather. We’ve compiled a list of four of the top fragrance options to add to your fall/winter arsenal.

Tom Ford Noir Extreme In 2012, Tom Ford launched one of his more masculine scents, titled Noir, which captures the quintessential Tom Ford Man: the refined, urbane sophisticate who the world gets to see and the intriguingly sensuous private man they don't. Noir Extreme – which launched in May 2015 - is a new dimension of the Noir man. The amber drenched, woody oriental fragrance opens with fresh citruses and warm spicy top notes. The base is balanced with woody accords of sandalwood and milky- sweet vanilla. ($100 from Barney’s New York)

 Jimmy Choo 'MAN' Eau de Toilette Jimmy Choo MAN was created for the confident, refined man with a rebellious spirit. The Eau de Toilette is a brand signature which combines a seductive lavender and fresh honeydew melon blend with pink pepper and pineapple leaf, while an elegant trail of patchouli leaves a lasting imprint. The scent is powerfully fresh and modern. ($82 from Nordstrom)

 Dior Homme Eau for Men Dior Homme Eau for Men is a fresh woody fragrance with a masculine and sophisticated signature. Its wood base makes it a heavier scent, which is a perfect option for the colder seasons. It is topped off with hints of grapefruit, bergamot and coriander for freshness. Bold and refined, magnetic and charismatic, Dior Homme Eau for Men was created for the man on the go. ($89 from Macy’s)

 Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'Homme La Nuit de L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent tells a story of intensity, bold sensuality, and seduction. Bold, masculine freshness combines with sophistication and nonchalance to create a fresh, yet deep and mysterious scent with notes of cardamom, cedar, and courmarin. ($87 from Sephora)

ABODE Remember when we mentioned that minimalism was currently the reigning trend in the fashion market? Well, the same even applies to home interiors as well. Keeping things simple and understated with straightforward styling is a surefire way to add a sense of coziness to your living space. More and more people are seeking to live independently; many of them moving into rather small spaces in large cities. This means that there isn’t much of a need for too many large items. The following items are perfect additions for the fall/winter season, which will allow you functionality while simultaneously allowing for maximum space to move about comfortably.

From Top Left to Right: Table Lamp (West Elm), (Container Store), Small Table (B&B Italia), Chair (Ikea)
