Catching up over business lunch at... Drift Beach

I have officially declared the end of alfresco dining this summer, but thanks to a mass of high-impact AC units, you can still enjoy the outdoor feel with indoor cool at Drift Beach. It was here I found myself for a lovely business lunch recently, catching up over Provençalinspired plates like lentil salad, beef carpaccio and roasted salmon.

Being super lastminute and booking my mani-pedi through… ServiceMarket

I’m always scrambling for time. And it’s usually self-care that’s pushed down the priority list. Ahead of a recent vacation, my nails were in need of a little TLC. Though I was running short on time, I knew I had to get it done. So, I decided to get a mani-pedi at home through ServiceMarket. I was even lucky enough to clip a little off the price.

The ease that is… Dubai Airports and Terminal 3

Over the last Eid break, I set off to Saudi Arabia for the first time ever, and whilst I adored Jeddah, I was happy arriving back in Dubai because I knew that I would be out of the airport in under an hour, easily. DXB is so streamlined and organised that I didn’t even have to take my passport out of my backpack. The e-gate scanned my eyes, and the doors opened before I could even unzip the pouch.

Binge watching... Derry Girls

I’m late to this one, but after a recommendation from a friend, I’ve finally started watching Derry Girls - and now I’m hooked. I absolutely loved how witty and emotional the show was, and binged it in a day. I laughed, I teared up and now I think it’s time for a rewatch especially for Sister Michael’s deadpan jokes. I adore Siobhán McSweeney.

Enjoying the outstanding sundowner views of... Above Eleven

With tonnes of trendy bars, choosing where to go for sundowners on the Palm can be a tortuous affair. But we can save you the agony of indecision. Try Above Eleven. You’ll find it at the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah. It has stunning views, and the cocktail collection is scandalously good, as is the Peruvian-Japanese menu.

Taste testing the world’s third-best burger at… Eleven Green

Gourmet burger eatery, Eleven Green is the brainchild of Sultan and Kinda Chatila, the husbandand-wife duo behind sell-out supper club Tano’s at 8. The menu may be compact, but it’s clear the Eleven Green hype is completely justified. @elevengreen.uae

Getting competitive at… Unwind Specialty Boardgame Cafe

My girlfriends and I are competitive, so Unwind Specialty Boardgame Cafe is the perfect place for us to meet up. The variety of games at the café will blow your mind and the staff is incredibly helpful despite our group of screeching women. The fries and the milkshakes are my strongest menu recommendation. With dippage. Builds character.
