in North America and will do so at Virginia International Raceway the weekend of September 26, 2015. With three classes set to participate, the Trans Am Series takes a unique approach to road racing—showcasing the makes, models and racing platforms that have propelled it throughout the Series’ nearly 50-year history. The infamous 850 horsepower grand touring machines of the TA class will be in full force, powering around the 3.27-mile course in some of the fastest times you will find in road racing. In TA2, the pony wars of the 60’s and 70’s stand revitalized with Detroit’s big three once more battling it out for trophies, championships and bragging rights in one of the fastest growing platforms in road racing. Their fuel, fire and shear horsepower will be out front and center at VIR as cars and competitors alike tackle the hills, turns and straights of the beautiful track, aptly labeled a motorsports resort, with 1,300 acres of land in serene south Virginia.
