Monks Gone Wild! Part Deux

Fonta Flora Brewer y in Morganton, North Carolina in my humble opinion does farm to fermentor better than any brewery in the country. Head brewer Todd Boera not only utilizes local farmers and business to provide ingredients for his crafty creations, I’ll have you know that Todd will forage the foothills and forests to find favorable flora for his fermentors.
and fennel come directly from the farm. Yes, kiwi!
Fonta Flora is nationally recognized as an innovator in this type of brewing. Recently Todd was tagged as a “renegade craftsman” by The Wall Street Journal recently in the article “Foraged Beer: The Latest Trend in Craft Brewing.”
The Urban Monk imperial stout is now aging on heaps of Defiant Whisky oak soaked spirals. David, Mark, Todd and Sarah are making sure all is perfect for your arrival. Now it’s up to us to make it a memorable celebration of the Monk!
Todd along with David and Mark Bennett, the three principles in Fonta Flora will be celebrating a bottle release of several variations of Urban Monk Imperial Stout. Also, two sours TBA will be released February 20th. The festivities are scheduled to begin at 3pm. Please do not camp overnight out of respect for their neighbors. Arrive early, arrive enthusiastic.
