April kicks off the season with “Beer, Barbeque, and Whisky” tours starting in Morganton. The $50 tour includes a mouthwatering lunch at JD’s Smokehouse in Rutherford College. ince its inception in 2010, The North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival in Huntersville, NC has become one of the most successful and eagerly anticipated events in the southeast. A celebration of the talented brewers in North Carolina and great live music, the NCBMF highlights regional brewers and breweries against the musical backdrop of top tier bands and the stunning scenery of Historic Rural Hill, a modern day working farm. Standing at 6,684 feet, the summit of Mount Mitchell is the highest point in the eastern United States and one of the must-do mountain adventures in North Carolina.
