ON THE RIGHT COURSE Whether you’re learning for work, for legislative reasons, for interest’s sake or just for fun, there’ll be something in our range of short courses to suit you. INTEREST COURSES
LEGISLATIVE AND COMPETENCY COURSES
These are designed to meet the needs of adult learners and usually provide an introduction to a topic or craft. They are not assessed so have wide ranging appeal for anyone from the hobbyist to someone looking for a taster course to help them decide on a career change.
These short courses are taught and assessed by industry experts and will help you and your team develop additional skills and expertise.
PROFESSIONAL AND VOCATIONAL COURSES These courses lead to an accreditation from an awarding or professional body. The course duration will usually reflect the level of the qualification. Some certificates of competence can be achieved in a shorter time if skills have already been gained.
Successful completion of these courses leads to a certificate of competence, which is industry recognised and ensures that the health and safety standards of the industry are met. BESPOKE COURSES We’re keen to provide courses to meet the needs of those interested in or currently working in the construction, sport, food and drink, animal, equine and agriculture industries. If there’s a course you’d like to do that is relevant to these industries and that we don’t currently offer, please get in touch. Our bespoke training is delivered by industry experts and can be arranged to meet your needs, either here at the college or on your own premises.
