Who we are: Diversity of student population

• STEAM philosophy provides many problembased, interdisciplinary and hands-on learning experiences. • Students are taught to think critically, collaborate with peers, solve problems, try new things, learn from their mistakes and continuously grow towards the best version of themselves.

After English, the top three languages spoken by families: 1) Spanish, 2) Mandarin, 3) Hindi

• Through a design, engineering and/or art focus, students draft and create 2D and 3D products in CorelDRAW and Auto Desk Inventor. • Teachers partner with students and their families to personalize the learning for each student. Students have voice and choice in how they demonstrate their learning. • Coding and computational thinking are integrated into math and other courses. Students learn the Python programming language in 8th grade.

Who we serve: Chippewa welcomes students in its attendance area, which includes parts of Arden Hills, North Oaks, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights. Chippewa offers: a wide variety of after-school activities. Band, choir or orchestra is available every other day in grade 6, and every day in grades 7 and 8. Spanish is offered in grades 7 and 8.
