The Daily Mountain Eagle is celebrating five years of allowing its readers to name the Best of the Best in Walker County. For five years in a row, our readers have spoken, and the DME is excited to reveal the results of the 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards. In late December and early January, approximately 35,000 ballots were distributed that featured more than 100 categories of businesses and service professionals. Our staff counted nearly 2,500 legitimate ballots on which our readers cast more than 100,000 individual votes.
