Commitments pile up as you pack the family up for a ight to Utah, making sure no one forgot a toothbrush or extra pair of socks. Now you’re coming down the mountain, it’s 4 p.m., and all you want to do while on your winter trip is take a few moments to treat yourself.
Or maybe you’re a local with a day o on your calendar, looking for a way to recharge, but aren’t sure where to begin with all the state-of-the-art services and salons in the area.
Whether you t into one of these categories, or you’re somewhere in the middle, everyone could use time to pamper themselves. With services ranging in price and time commitments, there’s sure to be a perfect match within the 435 area.
SPAS AND SALONS
e rst thing that comes to mind when hearing “pamper” is a spa, which Park City has a plethora of. If you’re staying in Canyon’s Village, Serenity Spa at the Westgate Resort features a coconut milk scalp hydration treatment, an add-on to a massage which uses coconut milk to help with hair growth.
“A lot of people don’t know that getting scalp work done helps with stress levels,” said Brodie Ash, lead massage therapist at Serenity Spa. “ is service is a great option for someone who had a hard day on the mountain and just wants to relax.”
If you’re staying closer toward Main Street, or if you’re looking for something to rejuvenate your athletic day, the Alpen + Hyde spa features a hot stone massage. e basalt stones hold heat and penetrate a deeper level of massage into the muscle.
“I just think it’s a di erent experience from all the other day spas,” said Shana Ominsky, founder and owner of Alpen + Hyde. “It’s in Park City, it’s shabby chic, and focused on having and inand-out experience, yet at a resort level.”
Gentlemen, fear not, there are even treatments geared toward you. Breathe Massage and Spa, located in Prospector Square, features a 60-minute service for men with cleansing, exfoliating, a massage, serums, steam and hot towels all customized to your speci c skincare needs. “ ere are plenty of barber shops in the area, but only one place that focuses on gentleman’s skincare,” said Deanna Johnson, spa owner.
Also in Prospector Square is Anny’s Nail Salon, a quiet and relaxing environment that works mainly by appointments, and specializes in an organic collagen pedicure. e 70-minute service includes an herbal-infused neck wrap, all-natural organic collagen products, and a sea salt foot bath, particularly bene cial in Utah’s dry climate.
If you’re feeling particularly dry, the apricot oil hydrating body wrap at Align Spa is a year-round treatment that focuses on detoxing and purging the skin, putting hydration back in. rough exfoliations, oils, and warm cocoon wraps, your skin is le smooth as silk.
SPORTS TREATMENTS
When your days revolve around strenuous physical activity, a good stretch session sounds like heaven. at’s where Park City’s own PC Yoga Collective comes in handy. Using radiant heaters, PC Yoga Collectives hot yoga classes penetrate to the muscles to help relieve tension. If hot yoga isn’t your thing, this fall, a non-

heated studio opened up, allowing yogis to o er more breath and meditation exercises.
“By expanding holistically, we are able to expand physically,” said Jennifer Armstrong-Solomon, owner of PC Yoga Collective. “We are really excited to bring in different yoga modalities.”
A few doors down sits Park City’s Stretch Lab, a franchise that focuses on one-on-one stretching by appointment only. e program is created based on your body’s needs, adding mobility and performance to prevent tearing a muscle if you’re skiing or snowboarding all day, or just trying to put exibility back into your body.
