TOBE was conceived at a time and in a culture that embraced the spirit of a mix of winter outdoor sports. Skiing, snowmobiling and snowboarding were all big influences because at the foundation of each of these sports is a deep-burning desire not found anywhere else. It’s the passion to explore uncharted terrain, get that next kick of adrenaline and simply take in the full extent of mother nature’s beauty. We claim the right to call ourselves a brand of many sports, with our roots stemming from every adrenaline-fueled activity we grew up enjoying. Growing up with people who shared the same mentality formed our design philosophy early on. Our gear is meant to be (ab)used, and saving costs in our designs by jeopardizing reliability is not tolerated. First and foremost, our gear must be durable. Period.

Fashion is next in the order of importance. We want you to look good, so you feel good. However, that doesn’t mean we’re above adding giant pieces of Kevlar® on top of everything we just designed if that’s the only way to exceed your expectations. There’s a constant tension between function and aesthetic design. Every time we sit down to create something new, we strive to find a delicate balance between raw functionality and making you the best-looking thing on the mountain.
