Living on campus is a big part of the college experience, and here at Mount Aloysius, we offer safe and community-centered residence halls. We also offer a rich series of residence hall events and activities to help our students connect outside of the classroom. Laugh with friends during a comedy show, dance at a concert held in Bertschi, or grab a blanket and catch a movie outside. Extracurricular activities are a great way to find your niche on campus while making new friends, developing leadership skills, or just trying something new. During your time here, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to improve your local or even global community. Whether you volunteer during an international mission trips, aid after national disasters, or cleanup a local park, you’ll better yourself as you help others.

THE BELLTOWER

THEATRE

VOX NOVA


The Belltower is the official newspaper of Mount Aloysius College. Now digital (to save trees), the paper covers all things Mount Aloysius. For any Mountie who enjoys writing, editing, photography, or communications, The Belltower fellowship is a great way to earn money and do what you love!

Fellowship: $1,000/yr | belltower.mtaloy.edu From Shakespeare to Sondheim, the Mount Aloysius College Theatre program covers it all on the stage in Alumni Hall. Students get a hands-on theatre experience where they learn the details of the art of acting along with the specialty work that happens backstage. It gets even better. Students can apply for a $1,000 annual scholarship if they are able to meet certain criteria. Learn all about it at the theatre webpage.

Scholarship: $1,000/yr | mtaloy.edu/theatre Vox Nova is the top singing group on campus. It is an audition-only group that covers everything from modern to classical works. The group performs all over campus as well as at community events. Vocalists in Vox Nova have the chance to earn a minor in music and best yet, they get an annual scholarship for their involvement. GETTING HERE Cresson, Pennsylvania is 90 miles east of Pittsburgh. The campus of Mount Aloysius College is just off U.S. Route 22, about 13 miles west of Altoona, 30 miles north of Johnstown. We’re easy to find. Just follow the signs near the Cresson exit on U.S. 22.
