Commencement

“Follow Your North Star”

Mount Aloysius celebrated its 81st annual commencement ceremony on May 14, with students, faculty, staff, and loved ones gathered in the Athletic, Convocation, and Wellness Center to celebrate the Class of 2022.

Reneé Martin Nagle, J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., ΄79, CEO of A Ripple Effect PLLC and Mount Aloysius College Trustee, instructed students to “follow their North Star” and advised students to continue learning all their lives. Student speakers included Corrin Dagostin (invocation), Anne Way and John Price (welcome), Enoch Quarcoo (student commencement address), and Sarah Rathmell (benediction).

Also honored at the ceremony were the College’s Sisters of Mercy: Sister Benedict Joseph Watters, Sister Giuseppe DaBella, and Sister Eric Marie Setlock. The three Sisters were given the Catherine McAuley medal, which honors individuals whose life achievements center around compassionate service.
