1948

Sr. Benedict Joseph Watters, RSM, ΄46A, ΄48 and Sr. Giuseppe DaBella, RSM have “retired” from their work at Mount Aloysius, and have since moved to Dallas Mercy Center in Dallas, PA. 1979

Dr. Renée MartinNagle, J.D., LL.M., ΄79, CEO & President of A Ripple Effect, PLLC and current secretary of the Mount Aloysius College Board of Trustees, served as the commencement speaker for MAC’s Class of 2022. Renée shared stories from her experiences as a daughter, mother, grandmother, lawyer, professor, author, businesswoman, and world traveler, and encouraged graduates to “find the North Stars.”

1989

Marie Little ΄89 was recognized at the 2022 WISE Women of Blair County Tribute Dinner. The WISE Women of Blair County Tribute recognizes and honors Blair County women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in promoting the awareness of the significant role of women in the quality of life in the community and its economic growth. Marie is the President of the Hollidaysburg Area Arts Council.

1994

Shawn Kauffman ΄94 started his new role as Director of Human Resources at McAneny Brothers, Inc. McAneny Brothers is a full-service convenience and grocery store distributor, offering online ordering and next-day delivery throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, and New York.

1995

Marie Simmers, RN ΄95, director of case management, graduated from Conemaugh Health System’s Aspiring Leaders Program in December 2021. She has served in the health system for nine years.

1999

Quan Britt ΄99 took over the helm as head men’s basketball coach at Penn Highlands Community College in Johnstown, PA in May 2021. Quan and the Black Bears may have far-exceeded expectations in his first year leading the way, as they reached the semifinals of the Region 20 Tournament.

2004

Jessica (Fleegle) Lieb ΄04 was hired as Director of Business Operations at MyAdvisor, a ThreeWire Systems Company. MyAdvisor provides mental health and wellness care coordination, with services ranging from crisis care, wellness coordination, clinical behavioral telehealth sessions, financial resources, career development, and referral management.

2007

Meghan (Wojcik) Perrone ΄02, ΄07, office manager for Conemaugh Physician Group – St. Benedict Rural Health Clinic, recently completed the Conemaugh Health System’s New Leader program. Now in its 10th year, the program offers management skills training and process management training, supporting new managers and directors as they transition into leadership roles. Meghan has been a Conemaugh employee for a total of seven years.

2009

Paula (Custer) Kline ΄09 recently completed the Conemaugh Health System’s New Leader program. Now in its 10th year, the program offers management skills training and process management training, supporting new managers and directors as they transition into leadership roles. Paula, nurse manager of the palliative care/medicalsurgical unit in the Good Samaritan wing of Conemaugh Memorial, has been with the health system for over 24 years.

2011

In January 2022, Joseph “Joey” Stephenson ΄11 was promoted to Vice President, Financial Intelligence Group Coordinator - Fraud Team at S&T Bank, based in Indiana, PA. One month after Elizabeth “Liz” Price ΄11 and John Harris lost their 6½-month-old daughter Riley to a congenital heart defect, Liz released a book to tell the story of their daughter and other CHD warriors during their stay at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. The book, titled “The CHD Alphabet Book” can be purchased on Amazon, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

2012

Matthew Stoyanoff ΄09, ΄12 was voted on to the Mount Aloysius Alumni Executive Board of Directors during the 2021 Alumni & Homecoming Weekend.

2013

Dustin Leverknight ΄13 graduated in the fall of 2013 and started with Lias Tire Inc. as a sales and marketing rep in the spring of 2014. During his time there, he’s moved up the corporate ladder and is now the Division Manager of Lias Tire’s Racing Division, the largest distributor for American Racer Tires. Dustin now oversees all sales and customer accounts at Lias Tire and contributes his professional success to the education and experiences gained at Mount Aloysius College!

Dr. David Tran, DPM, ΄13 was hired as a podiatric surgeon at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. Dr. Tran specializes in podiatry, diagnosing and treating common problems such as foot pain and arthritis, but also performing surgeries including ingrown toenails, hammer toes, and more.

2014

Jacqueline “Jackie” (Bost) Kyle ΄14 recently began working at UPMC Altoona as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

2015

Tanner Thomas ΄15 was named to PA Business Central’s 2021 list of Foremost Under 40. Tanner is a Senior Accountant at James Moore & Co. The selection committee based its final selections on nominees who have made a positive impact on the Central Pennsylvania business community by consistently moving their business forward, adapting to major changes in their personal and professional life, and giving back to the community through volunteering or mentoring.

2016

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center has awarded Alaina (Mock) Heeter, RN, ΄15, ΄16 the hospital’s Amber Port Memorial Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship was established in 2020 in memory of Amber Port, RN, PACU/SDSU Nurse Manager. Kristy M. Daniel ΄16 was hired as Associate Registrar for Records and Progression at York College of Pennsylvania. A former member of the Mountie baseball team, Nicholas DiDiano ΄16 was recently recognized in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s (AMCC) 25th Anniversary Distinguished Alumni Series. Following graduation, Nicholas decided to join the United States Coast Guard. He serves as the Officer in Charge – Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDets). The LEDets are specialized groups responsible for enforcing maritime law, aboard both U.S. and Allied ships.

2019

Lucy Craig ΄19 and Alison McElheny ΄19 joined the Mount Aloysius Alumni Executive Board of Directors in December 2021. Alison also serves as the Board’s secretary. Emily Goldyn ΄19, a four-year member of the women’s tennis team, was recently recognized in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s (AMCC) 25th Anniversary Distinguished Alumni Series. As part of her education, Emily also served as an FBI Honors intern in New York, Pittsburgh, and Quantico, VA. She also interned with the District Attorney’s Office in Ebensburg, PA. In 2019, Emily became the first AMCC Woman of the Year from Mount Aloysius. She was then nominated by the AMCC for the NCAA Woman of the Year. Following graduation, she accepted a full-time position as an Operational Support Technician with the FBI.

2020

Domity Dahn ΄20, a former member of the men’s soccer team, was recently recognized in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s (AMCC) 25th Anniversary Distinguished Alumni Series. Following graduation, Domity took a job with Sure Secure Solutions, a company that he interned with during his junior year. He currently represents the company as a contractor for NASA, working as a System Engineer. Domity is currently supporting the ModelBased Systems Engineer (MBSE) team but has worked with NASA on multiple past projects.

2021

Shana Mark-Hood ΄21 and Jaden Hood ΄21 celebrated their graduation from Mount Aloysius as a mother-daughter duo.

Elizabeth “Liz” Price ΄11 and John Harris welcomed their daughter, Riley, into the world in October 2021. Christmas was extra special for Michael ΄12 and Spring (Krepps) ΄11, ΄12 Godissart when they welcomed their daughter, Elle, to their family in December 2021. Elizabeth Hogue ΄12 and her significant other, Randy, welcomed Levi to their family in May 2022. Brett ΄13 and Marley Oswalt welcomed their daughter, Ari, to their family in July 2021. In May 2022, Matthew ΄14 and Brooke Davis were blessed with the arrival of their first child, Charlotte. Aaron Patrick ΄14 and his wife, Carlea, welcomed their first child, Penelope, in September 2021.
