OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

We are led by a Board of Directors who are all volunteers and elected by our members to represent them to lead our organisation. Each Director is expected to undertake annual training and education as well as take corporate and personal responsibility for decisions made.

PROFIT FOR PURPOSE

Our Board of Directors are committed to ensuring that all the profit we generate is used to improve services or facilities for our Members and to improve the lives of our members.

This is evident by the significant support to local organisations, and community members through the investment in the ClubGRANTS program across Fairfield, Liverpool, the Northern Beaches and the Central Coast. In addition to this, they also provide support to the community through other means, including donations, sponsorships, community partnerships and events, sports, sub club and social inclusion programs – all aimed at improving the lives of our Members and the local communities.

RAPID RESPONSE HELICOPTER

Sponsored the fastest rapid response helicopter that delivered 300 critical missions across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast. A partnership that saves lives, speeds recovery and serves the community.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

This year Mounties Group supported 138 local community groups with financial assistance, with an impressive $5.8 million provided to our community in the form of ClubGRANTS funding, donations and community support including the major sponsorship of the Beach 2 Beach Charity Fun Run.

MOUNTIES CARE CONCIERGE

BEERS FOR BROADWATER

Supported the flood-devastated town of Broadwater, by facilitating a combined effort from each of our Club venues, supporters and members which resulted in a total of $220,000 being donated to the local Broadwater community, including a $100,000 Mounties Group donation.

Continuing to support Members at every stage of their life through the Mounties Care Concierge hotline. This hotline offers a free service to support Members health enquiries, perform welfare checks and assist with information on services available across our home care provision, our medical and allied health services. Our Care Concierge can help you navigate your way through identifying the services available and the best way to find assistance most suited to your own personal needs.

LIVE AND LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT

To help support the crippled entertainment industry after the COVID-19 shutdown, we embarked on the LIVE & LOCAL campaign which focused on our local musicians, those who were local to our community and had been hit hardest by the lockdown. Providing our members with free live entertainment by local artists every Friday and Saturday night.

Located on 50 beautiful acres of land nestled alongside the beautiful shores of Terrigal Lagoon, Breakers Country Club brings our members a modern comfortable club along with a stunning 9 hole golf course and two lawn bowling greens. Another great addition on the Central Coast for our members to enjoy!

MOUNTIES CARE HOME CARE Mounties Group listened to our members and understood that as our membership ages, their needs change. Mounties Care Home Care supports the health, wellbeing and independence of our Members, long after they can no longer attend our Club venues. From companionship to nursing services and all the way to chemotherapy and end of life care, we want to keep or members living in their own homes and as part of our community for longer and in more positive ways.

MOUNTIES CARE INTEGRATIVE HEALTH CLINICS

Our new Integrative Health Clinics at Freshwater and Wyoming are just the start to our growth into improving members lives through better health services. With plans for Mt Pritchard and Guilford, Mounties Group are pioneering to ensure no matter what stage of life, our members are well looked after.

MOUNTIES HELPS MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE FOR CANCER PATIENTS

Thanks to the support from Mounties Group’s Central Coast venues, Dreams2Live4 will be able to make dreams come true for adults living with metastatic cancer, relapsed lymphoma, relapsed leukemia, and grades 3-4 brain cancer.

Following the devastating diagnosis of cancer and the gut-wrenching news that it has returned, Dreams2Live4 empowers patients to dream and find purpose again. This has a direct impact on the mental health and social wellbeing of both patient and carers.

As part of the 2022 ClubGRANTS scheme, Club Wyong and Breakers Country Club have stepped in with a $17,500 grant that will enable at least four ‘dreamers’ the chance to live their dream.

“Our dreamers come from all walks of life, and all have their own unique dreams –from weddings, hot air balloon rides and holiday adventures, to meeting idols, publishing memoirs and family reunions,” said Dream2Live4 CEO and Dream Maker, Louise Mahoney.

“After a patient completes an application, our Dream Makers take over to make it happen, managing all requests and bookings within the set budget. This is a distraction away from treatment and a period of respite that offers special family time,” she added.

Anna Jenkins is a local resident who has recently had her dream fulfilled by Dreams2Live4. At just 34 Anna was diagnosed with terminal, pancreatic cancer. Her partner, and now husband, proposed to her the day before she was diagnosed.

“When Anna applied for a dream, she wanted something positive to look

forward to. Our Dreamers diagnosis doesn’t just change their life, but also impacts their partner and family too,” continued Louise.

Anna’s dream was to get married at Kantara House on the Central Coast, and Dreams2Live4 helped to make her dream come true.

“It’s not just something to look forward to in the short term. It’s a special day that my husband Brendan can recall with our beautiful boy Jack when I’m not here anymore, and hopefully find some happiness, in amongst the grief,” explained Anna.

“Going through a diagnosis and treatment is a difficult roller coaster and having a dream to look forward to (and then look back on) provides hope, distraction and much needed joy,” added Anna.

Dreams2Live4 is the only program of its kind in Australia. In the last 12 months, the organisation has received 32 dream applications from the Central Coast.

“When a dream is achieved, there is a feeling of joy and positive wellbeing that lasts beyond the dream itself. Thanks to the grant from Central Coast Mounties Group’s venues we are looking forward to making more dreams come true,” concluded Louise.

ClubGRANTS is just one of the many ways Mounties Group is proactive in providing support, services and facilities for the betterment of our local community.

Mounties Group’s Central Coast venues - Breakers Country Club, Club Wyong and Halekulani Bowling Club - have pledged $125,000 to 14 deserving community groups as part of the 2022 ClubGRANTS scheme.
