Apply for a room in student Residence*

If you plan to study in Canada for more than six months, you need a study permit from the Government of Canada. Apply for a study permit as soon as you receive your offer of admission from Mount Royal. To apply, visit the Government of Canada’s Immigration and Citizenship website at cic.gc.ca.

Early admission runs from Oct. 1, 2022 to Feb. 1, 2023. Programs in high demand have a Feb. 1 application deadline. Applications for most other programs remain open beyond this date based on space and availability.

LEAP offers four levels of high-quality English language instruction to help you develop the language skills needed for academic and career success. Learn from experienced Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certified instructors, enhance your fluency and accuracy, and gain international university experience in a safe and welcoming environment. The recommended minimum language level for student success is CLB 4 or an IELTS score of 3.5. mru.ca/LEAP

For international students from outside of Canada or the United states, through the International Pathway Program you can: » complete the highest level of MRU’s English Language Program (LEAP 4) » complete missing high school course requirements » complete post-secondary courses towards future degree/diploma » meet competitive admission average for future degree/diploma » receive a conditional offer of admission to future degree/diploma
