Sucker Punch Written by Roy Williams Royal Court Theatre KEY STAGE 4+ Two former friends step into the ring and face up to who they are. Sucker Punch looks back on what it was like to be young and black in the 80s and asks if the right battles have been fought, let alone won. The production boasts

As broken relationships are slowly pieced back together, order is restored and the final reunion is a heart-warming celebration of love and family. This new production takes place in 1940’s Casablanca, where there’s danger on the streets for the strangers in town, and every ‘hep cat’s’ drawn to the sound of swing. www.openairtheatre.com

but this time for KS4 as well as 6th Form Theatre Studies and Drama Students.
A rare opportunity to work with professional theatre critics and directors to hone critical thinking and review writing skills. We’re delighted to offer a shortened version of this popular programme to KS4 students, who will focus on reflection and verbal critiquing, and will not be required to write finished reviews – unless they’d like to! Both groups will see a new play and attend the full day masterclass with the critics. The Sixth Form group will also see a second play of their choice; write a 350 word review of the play; and participate in a one-to-one tutorial with the critic back at school.
‘Thanks again for a great experience. I would love to be part of it again next year!’ Drama teacher, Bishop Douglas School Cost: £150 for KS4 programme; £200 for Sixth Form programme plus £5 per theatre ticket Date: Autumn term 2010 To book: contact linda@mousetrap.org.uk or download an application form from our website www.mousetrap.org.uk
