Wentzville’s CTC will be performing The Dinner Party this spring! Auditions will be held at the Wentzville Ice Arena on JAN 27 and JAN 28 from 6-8P and JAN 29 from 9A-12P. American Sign Language: Level 1 (Ages 10+)
Larry Hinson is offering a six-week American Sign Language (ASL) class. Larry is a comedian, teacher and passionate about helping people learn to sign. He is also deaf and has made it his mission to teach the hearing community to interact with the deaf community. This is a 75-minute beginner’s class and intended for medical professionals, police and fire personnel, teachers, parents and any individuals who are looking to communicate with deaf individuals in their community. Join us where you will laugh and learn in the same class. Participants will need to purchase the book Learn to Sign the Fun Way by Penny Warner. Adult Trivia Night: Music (Ages 18+)
Test your knowledge of musical artists, lyrics, songs from the decades and more! First and second place will bring home a cash prize. Additional activities include a costume contest and 50/50 drawing. Beer and soft drinks will be included with your registration while supplies last. Bring your own snacks and food. No glass is allowed inside the facility. Register a table for up to eight players. Doors will open at 6P and the first round will start at 6:30P. VIP Tables receive three large, one-topping pizzas, 2 pitchers of beer, mulligans included with your table reservation, and a personal table waiter to pick up drinks from the bar, remove trash and provide dedicated table assistance. Adult Fishing Derby (Ages 14+)
Rig your rods and register for this exciting fishing competition. Anglers will fish at Heartland Park Lake and compete to catch the most total weight. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two winners. Registration will start at 6:30A and the derby will run from 7-9A. Participants have a two-rod limit at $6/7 per rod. Live bait is not permitted. Join us for a fantastic night at Fast Eddie’s Bon Air. Located in the charming river town of Alton, Illinois, this establishment opened in 1921 with only 80 seats. It has now grown to one of the largest and most iconic bars in the St. Louis metro area with over 900 seats and live entertainment nightly. Enjoy dinner and drinks, inspired by the “old Las Vegas” atmosphere, that offer quality food at a great price. Trip includes transportation to and from Fast Eddie’s. Spring into Season Day Trip (Ages 40+)
Spring into a day full of flowers and gardening as we immerse ourselves in the beauty of spring. First, we will have a docent-guided tour at the Missouri Botanical Gardens learning and viewing much of the 79 acres of bright buds and blossoms. We will then enjoy some exquisite American cuisine at The Piccadilly at Manhattan. After lunch, we will head over to Frisella Nursery and explore their many rows of bright blooms! Be prepared to get your hands dirty and create your own flower container to take home! Trip includes transportation to and from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, lunch and Frisella Nursery. Murder in Jackson Day Trip (Ages 40+)
There’s something peculiar going on in southern Missouri! Watch the betrayal as we head to Jackson, Missouri, for a Murder Mystery Dinner along the Iron Mountain Railway. We will begin our trip with a quick jaunt through the historic district of Jackson with a brief history tour and some local boutique shopping. Then we will head over to the St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway for a quick wine tasting, live show and dinner on a moving train! Arch Tour & Riverboat Dinner Cruise Day Trip (Ages 40+)
Join us as we tour the recently renovated Museum of Westward Expansion at the Gateway Arch. The museum now features six new galleries that highlight the history of the West. Once you finish exploring the museum, you will be able to take the tram to the top of the 630-foot tall monument. After the museum, we will board a riverboat for an adventure down the Mighty Mississippi on the Skyline Dinner Cruise. The view of the St. Louis skyline in the evening features the illuminated Gateway Arch and silhouettes of the city’s vibrant nightlife. Listen to live music, while indulging in a delicious dinner menu.
