Cedar River State Water Trail

••

offers 25 miles of paddling fun in Mower County

•• ••

Mower County hosts 25 miles of the Cedar River State Water Trail in Minnesota. Officially launched in 2012, the Cedar River State Water Trail officially begins at the Mower Co. Road 2 bridge east of the village of Lansing and flows down through the city of Austin to the Minnesota-Iowa border. Cedar River Watershed District – which spearheaded the legislative effort in 2011 to designate the Cedar River as a State Water Trail – has free brochure maps for the Cedar River State Water Trail created by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
