Pamela Rosalind Grace Coddington is the current creative director at Vogue. She was featured in the documentary on Anna Wintour called The September Issue. Born in Anglesey, Wales to hotelier parents, she spent most of her days outdoors climbing the rocky terrain and enjoying the ocean breeze. Grace started off her career modeling for Vogue at the age of 17. During her modeling career, she was nicknamed the Cod, in which people referred to her as being “cold as a codfish but hot as a four-bar fire.� At 26 years old, Grace was in a car accident that left her disfigured. Grace prevailed and moved from her modeling career to employment at British Vogue. In 1988 Grace joined Anna Wintour at American Vogue where she is the current creative director.
