1 every dot is a marking point of a constant, steady rhythm- it may be silent, it may make sound, or be a combination of both. Think of it as a metronome. 2 the white lines that curve independently of the shapes are to be read as a single note that varies with intensity as they loop and squiggle. 3 white lines that form shapes are to be read as chords (multiple notes playing at once) that vary in emotion and intensity according to the filling in the shapes. 5 shapes and lines that align with the dots signify a symmetrical sound. 6 shapes and lines that do not align with the dots signify an asymmetrical sound. 7 shapes and lines that meet the edge of the sheet are to “connect� with the next closest line(s) on the next sheet. This means that a note (line) or chord (shape) should continue to be played onto the next sheet until the sound is complete.
