Enchantment is a story with many twists and turns in which the main character is Barbara, a young woman who is trying to enter upon a medical career and who, at the same time, does not want to give up her family and love. The story, told in feuilleton style, gives a cross-section of the manners, morals and values, both good and bad, of Italy today.

The first part of "Enchantment" ended with Barbara Nardi being taken to hospital with a risk of a miscarriage. She eventually loses the baby. When Barbara returns home Roberto confesses his brief relationship with Monika and the ensuing tragedy. Roberto asks forgiveness. Barbara decides to give him another chance, and they go on a holiday. Thomas relaunches Life, with Giovanna managing the clinic. She persuades Barbara to return to her job and hires a famous plastic surgeon from Brazil, Diego Olivares. Meanwhile Massimo’s prison sentence is commuted to a term in a rehabilitation centre.

Marco, a renowned surgeon, has come to the Life clinic from Brazil, while Caterina, a girl of humble origin, is hired as a nurse. Caterina falls in love with Marco, but he is still recovering from the betrayal of his wife Rita, who arrives in Italy to win him back. An envious colleague forces Caterina to flee the clinic, and at the same time a mysterious individual begins to blackmail Marco. Meanwhile, the baby that Caterina secretly keeps in an orphanage turns out to be the child of a friend who was raped by the man Caterina believes is her father.

Martina has come to the LIFE clinic to deliver Michele's and Paola's newborn baby. Thanks to Luca's perseverance, he finds Laura again but she informs him of her decision to return to Paris.

Rocco Tasca, a young lawyer who defends powerful companies in civil suits, has a brilliant career ahead of him. The leading light of a legal firm run by the attorney Sforza, where he works with his girlfriend Alice, he has to defend a hit and run driver, along with the latter's insurance company. After he wins the case, the victim's mother commits suicide outside his apartment. Rocco undergoes a crisis, resigns from the law firm, ends his relationship with Alice, who prefers to go on working for Sforza, and starts to take on cases in which he defends individuals and groups against the powerful companies that he once represented.

Rocco Tasca is involved in new cases. The arrival of Erica, an expert in forensic medicine, provides him with a love interest. But Erica, who holds Rocco responsible for her mother’s suicide years earlier, is trying to frame him in connection with an old case. Then she finds that her thirst for revenge cannot compete with her love for Rocco, a feeling he shares.

Along with the various cases of social injustice taken on and solved by the firm of Attorney Rocco Tasca in each of the season’s six episodes, one investigation runs throughout the entire series, involving the death of the father of Marco, the firm’s new associate, as well as the professional integrity of prosecutor Croce, Rocco’s die-hard rival. At a certain point Croce, the unbending pursuer of wrongdoers, is forced to choose between his principles and the family interests of the woman he loves.

Luca is a hardworking medical student. He knows his adoptive father works as an undercover agent with the Carabinieri Police. He has vague memories of his original family, but he has no idea that the crime boss his father has been assigned to arrest is his blood brother, until his father’s commanding officer, tricking him into thinking that his father approves of the idea, reveals all the tragic details of his past, asking him to go back to the region where he was born and help the police.

In Kefalonia, for the first time ever, an army chooses not to surrender to the Germans but to fight, and it did so democratically, as a result of a referendum involving all men, regardless of rank.

Freely inspired by a true story, the film relates a dramatic judicial error that destroys the life of Daniele Barone. What seems at first to be a simple mistake turns into a genuine nightmare.

Croatia, Spring of 1941. On August 8th, 1956, in the first hours of daylight, the Belgian mine of Marcinelle was transformed into a horrifying inferno. A simple accident, blown out of all proportion by the disastrous safety conditions and the excessive delay of the emergency services, resulted in the death of virtually all the more than two hundred men working in the mine.

In the 1980s a gang of crooks turns entire neighbourhoods of Rome into crossroads for every kind of illegal activity, true "crime centrals". A disturbing new development in recent Italian history.

Claudio and Marta are a happily married middle-aged couple with a son, Simone, aged twenty. Their peaceful world starts to crumble when Simone suddenly leaves for a yearlong master's course in the USA. Marta reacts badly to the separation and sinks into a depression. However, she forces herself to react, returning to her old job as a photo restorer. The passion that she puts into her work distances her from her husband and they decide to part.

On September 8th 1943, when Italy signed the armistice with the Allies, Giorgio Perlasca a cattle dealer, is trapped in Hungary and hunted by the SS. Initially planning to flee, he changes his mind after witnessing the slaughter of innocent women and children. Passing himself off as the new Spanish consul general, he saves thousands of Jewish lives and even foils plans to burn down the ghetto. When in 1945 Budapest is liberated by the Russians, Perlasca has saved more than 5.000 people.

Elena, a dance teacher, travels to Argentina when new evidence is uncovered about the case of her daughter, who disappeared twenty years ago during the country’s military dictatorship. Chief Inspector Maida’s obsession to track down mafia boss Manzari forces him to neglect his family and as a result his friend PC Davide Costa sleeps with his wife Anna on the night of a big drug bust. Blinded by his fanatical quest Maida gets caught up in the operation, which turns out to be a trap. The following morning, his son Matteo is also killed by a hit and run driver. Manzari is put on trial for some of these murders but gets acquitted. Shortly after, Maida strangely disappears. Signs of a break-in at his home and a pool of blood on the floor indicate a mafia execution!

Chief Fireman Guerra has a distant relationship with his son Guido. After decades of hard work in Argentina, Angelo De Vita is declared dead on account of a bureaucratic error. This film chronicles 15 years of life in Italy from Liberation in 1945 to the Olympics held in Rome in 1960. The narration takes place "from the grassroots" taking us through the lives of four twenty year olds, Nunzia, Pietro, Romano and Rosa. A journey of growth and development taking place during the fifteen years coinciding with the resurgence of Italy and the "Italian economic miracle".

A young girl is found murdered in a coastal town closely linked to the Rinaldi family business empire. Inspectors Luca Magni and Giulia Cairo implicate the family, whose members must face a century’s worth of mysteries and lies. The younger generation would just as soon wipe the slate clean, but the acts of the older generation set off a chain of events beyond anyone’s control.

Giacomo, the main character, is a young adolescent with a typical modern-day Italian family and all the headaches and joys that it brings. He and his friends, aged 11 to 12, bring to their world the right amount of innocence and spontaneity to make them the perfect observers of their insecure elders, of the daily "bombardment" from the media, and of the constantly changing patterns of behaviour, lifestyles and trends of the modern world.

Stefano is an adolescent who has lost his father and hates his stepfather. He finds Marlene, who has escaped from prison, robbed a jewellery store and been wounded in the process, hiding in his stepfather’s abandoned stables, and he cares for her. When Marlene leaves, he does too. As she travels around, trying to sell the jewels, she does her best to get rid of Stefano, but without success. They gradually grow close. Then, after a night of love, Stefano’s first, Marlene lets herself be killed in a shootout with the Police, rather than return to jail or involve Stefano any further.

A girl of 17, Graziella works in a small-town laundry in the Messina region. One night she fails to come home. Three days later she is found on a hill by the sea, killed with five rifle shots. Her brother, after an investigation that lasts nearly twenty years, discovers that Graziella was murdered by the mafia because of a document she should not have seen in a client’s jacket. A widowed Italian diplomat with a boy of 8 and an even younger little girl returns to Italy to work at the Foreign Ministry, after having served as Ambassador to Sri Lanka. While he is at work, his children, out for a walk near home, are attacked by a dog. A passing motorcyclist stops and saves them. When the biker takes off his helmet, we discover that he is actually a young woman, Stella, who rushes the children to the emergency room and takes cares of them until their father arrives. When he finally shows up, sparks fly.

Three robbers, Valerio, Marco and Claudio, are sent to prison for stealing a load of diamonds, though the police fail to retrieve the loot. While serving time, Valerio falls in love with Emma, a volunteer worker. When all three men are released, Marco and Claudio kidnap Emma in order to force Valerio to reveal where he has hidden the diamonds. Ready to start a new life, Valerio gives up the jewels for Emma, but then the police become involved, and it looks like there is no hope for the girl.

Despite two serious accidents early in his career, Marco Pantani becomes a cycling star, winning the Tour de France in 1998 and reviving interest in a nearly forgotten sport. But during the 1999 Giro d'Italia, Pantani is disqualified for his excessively high haemoglobin level, based on rules that he himself helped promote. Jack is a carefree, 22-year-old, until he meets Greta, a girl with a heart defect that she keeps as a secret, wanting to enjoy life without being pitied. When Greta is hospitalized, Jack learns the truth. He devotes himself to the fragile girl, hoping to get past her defences. Greta's father, unable to tell her that her only hope is to be operated, leaves the task to Jack. Saddled with this grown-up love, the former youngster can only wait in anguish to see if Greta will make it.

This film focuses on the artistic and human development of Umberto Boccioni, it tells of the birth of Futurism, which greatly influenced Ethics and Aesthetics in the course of the last century. The plot covers a period of just eight years: it begins with a 26 year old Boccioni, trying to make a name for himself in the world of arts. Love comes to him unexpectedly, in the guise of the controversial and mysterious Lorenza, her too with links to the Futurist movement. Success comes to Umberto all of a sudden, but there isn’t much time to enjoy it, World War I has just begun.

The story begins and ends in the space of a single day, on the streets of Rome, where the lives of bankers and journalists intersect those of prostitutes and immigrants from faraway countries, all in front of the innocent eyes of Carletto, the merchandise being exchanged in this absurd transaction.

The adventures of Tara, daughter of an archaeologist who is searching for a mysterious Phoenician artefact, holding the key to the secret of life, at the bottom of the Red Sea.

Carmelo and Lucia Frisone, both sicilians, of humble origins and quite uncultured, after two daughters, have to face up to the difficult bringing up of a male child heavily disabled due to a medical silliness at the time of childbirth. Lucia will do anything to let his son growing and studying like any other boy of his age, allowing him to fulfil his dream of becoming a physicist.

Giorgio, a wheeling-dealing businessman, is trapped in the collapse of the building where he grew up as a poor child. Using his mobile phone, he arranges deals for TV news stories, but then the battery runs out. Taking a secret way out of the building, Giorgio goes home, changes the battery and returns. But while on the “outside”, he discovers that everyone, with the exception of his young daughter, has been betraying him.

Angela, the story of a teenage mum who resorts to trading on the black market at first to feed her son, then for personal gain. Matilde, the story of a woman who falls in love with a German army officer in 1944, as the Allies advance and liberate Rome, she is accused of being a collaborator, beaten and disowned by her family. She will start her life over as a soubrette in a run-down theatre company. Lucia, set in a working class neighbourhood in Rome, tells of a young widow who has to fend for herself in the dramatic historical context of the Post-War years.

Inspired by the true story of Nicky Francisco, a boy who lived on a boat to counter a grave form of asthma, the movie offers a rich mix of emotions, optimism and hope: the child forced to make endless visits to the hospital, is finally delivered from his troubles in a custom-made setting : a boat built for him by his parents.

Following her father’s death, Anna discovers documents that point to the existence of an older brother she never knew about. Burned by guilt over the abandonment of this child in the years of hardship immediately after the war, Anna sets out to find him. Anna’s mother wants no part in her search. But an Italian American lawyer helps her to track her brother down, a discovery that sheds new light on painful childhood memories.

Rosa lives with her two younger brothers in an old apartment block where their mother is the porter, in the centre of Naples. Vita has just moved to the city from the North after her father, a bank manager, was transferred there. Their new apartment is on one of the upper floors in Rosa’s building. The two girls are both fifteen and soon come into contact. They are hostile towards each other at first, but after a while they become close friends and will support each other in times of need.

The only support his parents receive is from a doctor seeking to discover what really happened during the operation, and from their extended families. After Luca’s death, his parents turn their grief into something positive by founding a volunteer organization that works to provide adequate medical care for young people in a coma at a specialized centre in Bologna. Rosaria Caruso's youngest son, Michele, is arrested on charges of having raped six women over the last three years. The police have little evidence against her son, apart from the fact that five of the six victims have identified him as their assailant. While Michele refuses to supply an alibi, his mother decides to carry out an investigation of her own, by contacting the victims.

A young airplane pilot crashes into a school injuring some of the kids. He then is hired as a psychologist in that same school without disclosing his identity. He falls in love with a woman called Alida, whose son hasn’t uttered a word since the day of the plane crash…until his secret identity is revealed.

Fifteen year old Marco is a seemingly well-behaved boy from a decent family. One evening for no apparent reason together with a friend, he viciously attacks another boy of his age, leaving him with cuts and bruises. Pablo, confined to a wheelchair, and Daniele, a volunteer healthcare worker, both fall in love with Chiara. She prefers Daniele, but to avoid hurting Pablo she leaves both boys, only to be forced to repulse Pablo's insistent advances. Though bitterly disappointed, Pablo still aids Daniele in a moment of danger, and with tragic consequences for himself.

When rockstar, Tommy Landi is falsely accused of rape, his career and private life come to an end. The only person who believes he's innocent is his lawyer, Valeria. As she persues her investigation, she eventually reveals that Tommy has been the victim of a trap engineered by his "rape victim" and her bofriend.

Matteo is imprisoned for five years for a robbery in which his brother is killed. On his release he meets up with Giuliano who is really a social worker who tries to infiltrate the street gangs of adolescents in the most desolate suburbs of Rome in order to give them a new kind of motivation and save them from destruction. By helping the boys to avoid a life of crime and corruption Matteo also tries to rid himself of his miserable past.

Not knowing how to refuse the advances of the men in the village, Rosaria, a simple, innocent girl becomes pregnant several times and is object of persecution. When she is thought unfit to raise the child, her plight reaches the newspapers and tv. She is finally able to see the unjustice which has been inflicetd on her and wins support to fight the prejudices and insensitivity she has suffered.
