Summary: The purpose of this program is to support a national nonprofit to administer the clearinghouse of information related to Safe Routes to School (SRTS) to ensure successful implementation. The likely users of clearinghouse information include: states, localities, interest groups, other federal agencies, community organizations, transportation professionals, parents, school officials, and researchers. The major tasks involved in this program include: Operating a national Safe Routes to School Clearinghouse Developing information and educational programs on the Safe Routes to School program Providing technical assistance and disseminating techniques and strategies used for successful State Routes to School programs Conducting other coordination, planning, and tracking activities Providing centralized data entry for SRTS Data Evaluating the effectiveness of SRTS strategies Project deliverables include: Performing a statement of work Coordinating and managing work, including issuing and managing subcontracts Submitting required reports Meeting with technical representatives from the funding agency, as required Participating in a kick-off meeting Participating in annual budget review meetings
