CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
Dear Global Children Foundation members and supporters, Greetings.
It is a great pleasure to host the General Assembly in New Jersey to mark the 25th anniversary of the Global Children Foundation. I would like to express my sincere gratitude toward the GCF executive staffs, especially to GCF President Angeline Cho, who hosted the General Assembly, Ashley Yook, Branch President Hye Kyung Won. I am deeply grateful to have (Chang, Wook-Jin), a keynote speaker for this event as well. All of you here are people who love children from all of the nations.
In 1997, after hearing the news that families had been destroyed by the IMF (International Monetary Fund) crisis in Korea and those children affected either directly or indirectly by the crisis ended up wondering in the streets lost everything but nowhere to go, a group of mothers in the US including Honorary Chairman BangSook Ja of Washington DC came together to help the children in Korea. In 1998, with the determination of mothers to help those children in needs, the Global Children Foundation (formerly known as the Mother’s Association of Love for the Country) was established. 25 years have passed since then. My sentiments are renewed every time I remember the collective effort of mothers rebuilding something meaningful and our togetherness throughout the years.
In the meantime, the number of 15 GCF members has increased to about 8,000, expanding its membership arena to the United States, Korea, Japan, Hong-Kong, and Canada and so forth. The devoted GCF mothers have worked consistently to provide foods and education for the children of all around the world. By focusing on self-reliance, great mind and character oriented education, many children have grown up and are now brightening the society as reliable leaders. Hope is floating for those children in needs and despair. I further would like to take the moment to thank those missionaries, our co-workers in remote countries, who are faithfully serving our Lord God by their missionary work dedication, compassion, and non-stopping helping hands.
GCF is a charitable organization that sets an example for others, operated with transparent finances, volunteerism of all members, and systematic leadership. Thanks to the demonstration and interest of ‘the great power of motherhood’ that we were able to raise an unexpectedly large fund even in the midst of the past 3 years of Pandemic. With that fund, we are helping children in poverty overseas and actively sending relief to children affected by disasters and wars around the world.
To me what is meaningful in one’s life is to find pleasure in helping and supporting others in needs. We as GCF will continuously look forward to having a world where there are no unhappy children and no starving children, and so the mission of GCF mothers will continue. We send great pride and love to the Global Children Foundation, which celebrates its 25th anniversary, believing that all of you here are also partners in this efforts and dreams.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
Dear esteemed supporters of the Global Children Foundation,
I extend my sincere gratitude for your valuable presence at our 25th Anniversary Gala.
The past three years have been challenging for the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are now in a phase of recovery, there are still families struggling to provide their loved ones with basic necessities, children with illnesses or disabilities, and children living in fear amidst the horrors of war. They remain close to our hearts.
When I began my term as President earlier this year, I was able to reflect again on the history and remarkable journey of Global Children Foundation. Since its establishment under the leadership of late Madam Sook-Ja Bang, our foundation has reached out to children who are exposed to poverty, hunger, and low-quality living conditions in 59 countries across the world. To bring about positive change to their lives, our foundation has consistently raised and allocated funding to support their needs. In 2022, we allocated $450,000 to support children worldwide, and we are committed to enhancing our assistance with a funding of $550,000 in 2023 and $650,000 in 2024. Through these generous contributions, we have been able to provide crucial provisions such as food, clean water, and sanitation facilities, while also extending our support for their education and overall well-being. Our dedication to this cause remains steadfast, and we strive to continuously advance in our efforts. Additionally, we have worked diligently in collaboration with local communities and various organizations, striving to find sustainable solutions for the well-being of these children. Through these efforts, our foundation has witnessed firsthand the resilience of these children in the face of adversity as they recovered and rose above their circumstances.
However, there is still much work to be done. Millions of children worldwide continue to endure dire circumstances, including poverty, war, natural disasters, and other hardships -- eagerly awaiting a helping hand. Our foundation is committed to supporting these children each day with renewed passion and dedication. We hope to provide them with hope, opportunities, and create diverse avenues for them to realize they are not alone.
Once again, I extend our utmost respect and gratitude to all of you who have joined us today for our 25th Anniversary Gala. I greatly appreciate the support, dedication, and contributions of GCF members and the collective endeavor to gift a better life to children worldwide.
With conviction that even the small gestures can bring about tremendous change and hope in one child's life, the Global Children Foundation will continue to move forward, one step at a time, every single day.
With utmost respect,
Angeline Cho President, Global Children Foundation

Dear Friends,
On behalf of the City of Jersey City, I am pleased to extend warm wishes to all those gathered at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Fort Lee, NJ for the 25th Annual Fundraising Gala hosted by The Global Children Foundatiion.
The Global Children Foundation was established in 1998, in response to economic crisis in Asia. The Foundation began as an effort by Korean American mothers, who fundraised over $20,000 to tackle the devastating impact the economy turmoil had on children in South Korea. Ever since, the Global Children Foundation has grown to influence the lives of numerous children worldwide –raising and distributing more than 6 million dollars during the past few years.
Millions of children face poverty and hunger from social, economic, and environmental disasters each year. The Global Children Foundation has been commited to providing necessities to children in need, such as clean water and nutritious foods. The Foundation continues to grow and expand and remain committed to creating a brighter future for children worldwide.
I would like to congratulate everyone inlvoved in this wonderful organization and wish you all an enjoyable evening and look forward to many more years of c ontinued friendship and success.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Fulop Mayor

Stop Hunger, Start Sharing!
Thank you to all the sponsors and distinguished guests for being here tonight. I would like to take this opportunity to share two words with all of you. First, the most cherished word for many people, the world’s universal language; L.O.V.E, love and Mother’s Love.
As the chairwoman of the 25th anniversary gala of the Global Children Foundation, I have received your love in various forms while preparing for this event. It has been an impressive and heartwarming experience, surpassing expectations and achieving remarkable results.
The GCF members in NJ have prepared the event with their talents and shared their time and resources. The sponsors have also shown their love directly for those underprivileged children around the world. 25 years ago, it was the love of mothers for hungry children that led to the establishment of GCF. And for the past 25 years, it has been the love of mothers for underprivileged children that has guided the path of GCF. The love has allowed us to share what we have without hesitation, whether it's preparing kimchi, making dumplings, or organizing bazaars and golf tournaments for fundraising events to help those unfortunate children around the world.
The second word is GRATITUDE. Thank you, I am grateful for the fact that the Global Children Foundation has been able to help over 550,000 children in more than 50 countries over the past 25 years. It is thanks to the donors and volunteers who have trusted and participated in the Global Children Foundation that we have been able to raise and distribute $5 million over the past 25 years. I extend deep gratitude to all the donors and volunteers.
I would also like to express my gratitude to the community organizations and leaders for their cooperation. I send my thanks and applause to the 8,000 members of the Global Children Foundation. A special thanks to all the members who joined us at this 25th anniversary gala, as well as my co-chairpersons, NJ branch president and committee members. Thank you!
Through the 25 years of Global Children Foundation’s journey, I have witnessed that when LOVE is sown in places of despair, HOPE grows. We dream of a world without hungry children. Stop Hunger, Start Sharing! On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Global Children Foundation, I once again deeply thank the GCF members, sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders who have helped to make this evening so successful! Congratulations!!!
We dream of a world without hungry children, and the journey of GCF with all of you together will continue…. for another next 25 years. With Warmest Regards,
Ashley Yook Chairwoman of the 25th Gala

KEY NOTE SPEAKER
Dear distinguished guests, ladies, and gentlemen,
First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the 25th anniversary of Global Children’s Foundation. I’m deeply impressed to see that the Global Children’s Foundation, through the love of a mother, have instilled hope to the lots of children around the world.
This is exactly in line with what the UN has been working on, based on humanity's collective effort to coexist, reduce inequality, and promote stability, well-being, and happiness.
The principle of "Leaving No One Behind," as emphasized by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), should begin with "Leaving No Family Members Behind" with the love of a mother and extended to neighbors and communities at all levels.
It is imperative for all of us to actively participate in the processes, considering it not merely as "someone else's" or the "government's" responsibility, but rather as our duty to accomplish the 2030 agenda.
We are already halfway through our journey towards achieving the SDGs. However, as highlighted in the Report of the Secretary-General, progress has regressed or stagnated in certain areas across the 17 goals, partly due to the slow or nonexistent recovery in low-income countries. Preliminary assessments indicate that only about 12% of the goals are on track, and in the past three years, the COVID-19 pandemic has further hampered the already faltering progress.
The United Nations will convene the High-Level Political Forum from July 10th to 19th and the SDG Summit on September 18th to 19th of this year. These events present an opportunity to revitalize our momentum at the midpoint, assess our current standing, and pledge to do more by providing political leadership, guidance, and recommendations. We eagerly anticipate your active participation and engagement.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
There is a Korean proverb that states, "Ga-hwa-man-sa-seong," which means that all happiness begins at home. When families are harmonious, everything falls into place. May abundant blessings and grace be upon you and your families. Thank you very much.

Ran Hwang_BIO
As a Korean born, New York based artist, Hwang creates large iconic figures that embody her preoccupation with the nature of cyclical life, non-visibility and the beauty of a transient moment. Her earlier career in the fashion industry and the personal memories of 9/11 attack have led her to adopt the everyday materials into the delicate and dramatic works, whereas the artist's lifetime practice of Zen Buddhism has blended into the sophisticated hand-work accompanied by repetition and penance. Through her performative and conceptual approach, Hwang depicts the time of reflection and rumination of a human being in the society.
Hwang's work permanently resides in the collections of internationally acclaimed venues, including the Brooklyn Museum in New York, Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Deji Art Museum in Nanjing, Dubai Opera House, Des Moines Art Center in Iowa, New York University and National Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul.

5 out of 5 Client Satisfaction Rating based on 16 of reviews as of 4/7/2023: Each client has the opportunity to rate a practice based on the client’s overall satisfaction with the practice, on a scale of 1 to 5. The practice’s Client Satisfaction Rating is an average of all client responses for that practice within a rolling 24-month period, and is updated daily. There is no minimum number of responses required for a practice to receive a rating.
The Ameriprise Client Experience Award is earned by a practice based on three measurable statistics that reflect the value of goal-based advice to our clients: client experience rating; percentage of clients over a certain asset level in advice relationships; and, once the practice has exceeded a minimum amount of net flows, the percentage of net flows derived from assets under management.
