Venue Plan Overview
Volume One
The venue plan is divided into two separate clusters, the Downtown Cluster and Legacy Cluster. Each of these clusters will offer an array of venues and options for the games to touch various parts of the city. Our venue plan will capitalize on the beautiful landscape of the city, its historic sites, and the city’s cultural centers. New Orleans will also host extra venues such a sailing. This will allow athlete’s to experience the games in different cities across the nation. The clusters embody the idea of “Two Clusters, One Village”. The Athletes will be at the center of the games and clusters with the Athletes village falling in between the Downtown and Legacy Clusters. The Downtown Cluster will be centered around venues in Louisiana State University and Downtown Baton Rouge, and the BREC Equestrian Center. Many temporary venues will be constructed while other venues have either already been constructed or existing venues will be renovated. The Equestrian Park will be expanded for the games and play host to all equestrian events. The Legacy Cluster will be located in the South Medical District, and will be home to two main parks. The first is the Pan-American Park, this park will repurpose deserted land into a premier sporting center. The park will be home to the Velodrome, Aquatic Center, and Pan-American Stadium. The second park will be Westminster Park. Westminster Park is surrounded by the cities premier shopping centers and will play host to three temporary venues.
New Orleans will utilize Lake Pontchartrain to host the sailing events during the games and a high speed rail line will connect the city to Baton Rouge. Other features of the venue plan include the two main airports, both New Orleans and Baton Rouge International will be the main air travel options. The current Baton Rouge Airport will be expanded as a result of the games.
The cities venue plan will unite all athletes together, exploit the most beautiful parts of the city, and introduce to world to a new city.
1 Downtown Cluster ____________________________________________ The heart of the city will be the heart of the games. The Downtown Cluster will bring the modern world together with Baton Rouge culture and history in a flawless way.

LSU Golf Center
Volume Two
The LSU Golf Center will host all golfing events during the games. Various temporary stand will be constructed for spectators during the games.
Alex Box Stadium and Temporary Stadium

These two stadiums will host the baseball and softball events. Capacity is 10,000 each respectively.
Tiger Stadium
Volume Two
Tiger Stadium will host the football matches along with the Superdome in New Orleans. The stadium capacity is 102,321.
Pete Maravich Center
Volume Two
The Pete Maravich Center will host the Basket Ball events. The capacity is 13,215.
MPC /IBC
Volume Two
The Main Press Center will be located across from Tiger Stadium and next to the Pete Maravich Center. Many parts of it will be temporary. The IBC will be located in an expanded River Center
Pavilions
Volume Two
Three pavilions will be located in the Downtown Cluster. These pavilions will be temporary and hold seating for 5,000 spectators. After the games they will be repurposed for nation use.
LSU Aquatic Center
Volume Two
The LSU Aquatic Center will be a permanent venue and will host water polo. The venue will have a capacity of 7,000.
LSU Agricultural Center
Volume Two
The LSU Agricultural Center will host all gymnastic events, temporary seating will be close to 15,000.
University Lakes
Volume Two
The University Lakes will host rowing and canoe and kayak slalom. Temporary seating will be erected along the water front and be dismantled after the games.
River Center
Volume Two
The River Center will be the site of the International Broadcast Center and will host some events in its 4,000 seat arena.
2 Legacy Cluster ____________________________________________ The legacy cluster will pave the way for new city wide developments. It will bring together all people in a beautiful environment and be the center for a beautiful games.

Pan-American Stadium
Volume Two
The Pan-American Stadium will be located in the Pan-American park and will have a seating capacity of 80,000. It will host the Opening and Closing ceremonies and Athletics. After the games it will become to home of Louisiana’s first MLS league. This stadium will be the largest Soccer Specific Stadium ever constructed in the United States.
Aquatic Center
Volume Two
The Aquatic Center will be a permanent venue that after the games will become a community pool and official Olympic Training Center. Normal capacity with be 5,000, but it will be expanded to 7,000 for the games. It will host diving, swimming competitions, and synchronized swimming.
Velodrome
Volume Two
The Velodrome will be the largest in the United States with seating of 4,000. After the games it will remain open for recreational use, it will be a training facility for the USOC, and will host various cycling events during the games.
Pavilions
Volume Two
A total of five pavilions will be constructed in the legacy cluster. Two in the PanAmerican Park and three in the new Westminster Park. The pavilions in the PanAmerican Park will host Badminton, Bowling, Fencing, and Field Hockey. The Westminster Park’s pavilions will host Handball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Boxing.
3 Athletes Village ____________________________________________ The Athletes Village will house all the athletes in one harmonious place in between the two clusters. The village will put them at the heart of the games, in the heart of a city, in the heart of a country.

Volume Two
The Athletes Village will be divided between two areas. The buildings in yellow will be the athletes residential homes. The pink buildings will be training facilities, shops, restaurants, and main cafeteria. The apartments and athlete only facilities are surrounded by green spaces, navigable by using winding pathways. North of the village is the Baton Rouge City Park which will be open to Athletes during the games. Our vision for the village is to provide a place for athletes to reflect and relax before competition. After the games the village will become student housing and the shops and restaurants will be open to the public. The village will not only be a positive asset during the games, but well after as well.
